Permit me, my friends, to recount a tale of folly and desire—a tale not unlike those told in the marketplaces of Onitsha main market , rich with lessons for the wise who would heed them.
Two days after my wife departed for Kaduna to pursue her ICAN studies, there came a visitor to my home—Nkechi, a woman whose intent was not merely to plunder but also to sow discord and ruin. Her arrival was veiled in mischief, her motives wrapped in promises and the allure of her charms.
Our accord had been set: a sum of thirty-five thousand naira and a foolish promise to replace my wife with her in the coming year. But Nkechi, in her ambition, sought to hasten the fulfillment of her desires.
Now, let it be known, she was not fairer than my wife, yet there was a power in her form that could enslave the eyes of the unguarded. Her bosom was as mighty as the great reservoirs of Babylon, firm and unyielding, standing as though defying the pull of the earth itself. It was not merely her beauty but the enchantment of burying one’s face in her embrace and the indulgence of her affection that led me astray. That night, I fancied myself a king, foolishly intoxicated by fleeting pleasures.
Our plan was simple: she would depart the night before my wife’s return. Yet, as men are oft tempted by their baser instincts, I yearned for one more night of indulgence. In my folly, I increased her reward to fifty thousand naira —a testament to the power her charms held over me.
But as all secrets hidden in shadows are eventually revealed by the light, so too did my misdeed come to light. No sooner had she departed than my wife returned. Her first concern was for her treasured wig, valued at six hundred and fifty thousand naira . Before I could feign ignorance or swear by the gods of our fathers, there emerged from beneath our bed an unholy witness—a strange garment that spoke of another’s presence, a lady’s pant
By the dawn of the next day, my mother and elder sister were seated in my home, their expressions stern and their tongues laden with admonishment. The matter did not end in divorce, yet it was the day I swore an oath in my heart: no longer would the lure of abundant bosoms guide my steps astray. For fleeting pleasures are but traps for the unwary, and the cost of folly is always greater than its reward.”
Nice literary piece. Whether real or fiction. Baba you sabi write. I envy you. Aswear!!
It's now quite obvious that those behind southern's disunity are the yorubas. It's also quite obvious that Wike is relying on them to boost his already deflected political ego. Politics is local anywhere and everywhere. We in the SS and SE don't brook that godfatherism nonsense. Shame on Tinubu Shame on Wike. Little Lere Olayinka should take heed lest he falls.
Edygrin: He's speaking for himself, but is that not the sentiment across the south east? You don't want to protest, your politicians are saying you won't protest knowing how docile your people are, you're coming to say he doesn't speak for South East, is it Northerners that made him governor for 8 years?
richiemcgold: In the late 80s/early 90s, we used to rock moccasins, bikers and sancho boots . Then mid 90s came, and boom! Timbolo took over and it never looked back since then.
Tupac actually made it popular here in Nigeria. That's as far back as 1996 in his video Hit Em Up. A very dope JAMZ! Check it below: 👇👇👇
The ONLY way prices of commodities will reduce in Nigeria Is if Tinibu accept that his action on Fuel Subsidy Removal was FOOLISH and bring back Subsidy.
Make the Fuel N300 and see how our Economy will take a Sommersault.
Prices still won't go down. Our people are very wicked. Prices of commodities have come to stay.
Obi must not make such mistake. The North don't wish him well on this journey. El Rufa'i is a very desperate man who needs to rule the country at all cost. Obi should be wise!
Bobrisky's arrest by the Efcc is a clear case of voice of Jacob and hand of Esau. Efcc couldn't arrest him for Cross dressing since there's no locus standi for that. They waited till he/she comits the same every Nigerian is guilty of.
Moral lesson: don't give your enemy an opportunity to get at you.
oz4real83: Check the population or existence of the fulani tribe in all these countries, then you can conclude on your own why Nigeria isn't on the list
Jesse01: how can I fuvk off wen am an ijaw man lol all these things are very common in SA, and u don't see them celebrated such petty things, Akwa ibom is an oil producing state, I was excepting something better.
Bayelsa state is a homogeneous Ijaw state. What's the rate of development there when?A state with the smallest land mass and local government areas. Is Bayelsa not an oil producing state too? Again what's the rate of development there vis a vis what comes to the state purse.Learn to appreciate good things for once
jaymichael: Do you have a better idea to end the menace? reasonable people can see through the hypocrisy of your likes. You lots don't want the menace to end just to continue using the issue to score cheap political points. You lots were against setting up of grazing reserves for cattle rearing, you lots were against the importation of high yield high nutrition grass seeds that can be planted here for cattle feeding like the ones used for cattle feeding in advanced countries. Now you are against special intervention for cattle rearers to avert future occurrence of these ugly clashes with farmers and farming communities. It s not PMB's fault that GEJ was booted out by Nigerians so you shouldn't let your hatred for one man erode your sense of humanity.
Brotherly, you got it all wrong.all we are saying is that if the cattle rearers want to do business the proper way, they should buy a piece of land for that purpose.and not the other way round. There are Igbos,Yorubas etc living and doing businesses in all parts of Nigeria, they had to acquire land and properties to carry out their various businesses.
At the risk of sounding poetic justice, the people of Benue state deserve every bit of what they get in the hands of the Fulani headsmen
.Historically,Dan Fodio was fiercely resisted in Benue state during the Jihadist movement and ever since then,an average Fulani man sees a Tiv man as his sworn enemy.Funnily, during the last presidential election, they(Tivs) voted massively for Buhari,an unrepentant bigot all in a bid to spite Jonathan and the south south people. No pity for them.!
Why can't the Ohaneze devote more time to sensitize the people of the south east on the need and importance of participating in the electoral process instead of crying wolf when there's non?.
omenkaLives: The question I keep asking is, does FFK have more love for the people of Benue state than he does the people of Rivers?
CHRISTIANS observing their Cross Over were brutally massacred in their numbers just four days ago in Rivers state. It made news headlines everywhere. FFK, we know, appears to have appointed himself the spokesman for Christians and Southerners : WHY HASN'T HE COMMENTED ON THE MASSACRE OF THOSE INNOCENT CHRISTIANS IN RIVERS STATE? . The Benue people can take care of themselves and don't need elements like FFK or his league of dishevelled hate mongers to nudge them in the right direction. They should keep their stupid politics to themselves while we mourn quietly.
Foolish gargoyle.
Some things on this site probably think I should say things to please them..
You little urchins haven't seen anything yet.
Are you really human? do you have conscience at all? or you just chosed to be downrightly stupid? so FFK should have commended the headsmen for visiting this gross act of brutality on your people!!.Your comments has indeed clearly show how confused you are.
AshiwajuFoward: Smh. But streets, roads, and monuments have been named after prominent igbos in other regions so what is the big deal? Why are they being so petty about it? *hiss*
That's because those prominent Igbos had left great legacies in those regions. What did Buhari and other prominent people from region do in igbo land?Tell me!
diegwu01: IPOB is no more, trying to divert attention from the fact that PMB is presently in Igbo Biafraland eating Nwkobi, Akpu and Ofe Akwu after been received by Millions of Ebonyi citizens with all pomp and pageantry. PMB strode like a colossus into ebonyi state as most businesses closed shop and school children all marched to the Abakiliki Stadium to catch a glimpse of the Father of the Nation. Presently the entire Enugu Capital road are lined with hundreds of Thousands of School Children, Business men and Women , Well wishers all brandishing Nigerian Flags to receive the well loved President.
