Fear of man has in many ways hindered people from believing Jesus and getting saved. People fear they will lose friends if they are born again and no longer engage in the sinful lifestyle of their fraternity. Many moslems fear persecution from their family and community if they convert and become Christians. Whatever the fear that keeps you from following God and serving Him, Jesus Christ says it is only almighty God you should fear! Time is our most precious resource. This is true 0f any aspect of life activity. When we waste time, we waste a great resource needed to succeed at work, study, business, marriage, etc. Time is also a resource that determines our eternal destiny. We either utilize the time we have to know and worship God or we waste it! Every micro second of our lifetime counts...God tells us this in the Bible, "I ()will hear you at the acceptable time, and in the day of salvation I (will) help you. Look, N0w is the acceptable time; Look, NOW is the day of salvation!" (2nd Corinthians 6:2)

Today I saw a young girl walking on the streets and attracting a number of cat calls from the young men around. I also noticed that other better dressed girls also passed by and attracted no cat calls to themselves...It is a well established saying that "You will be addressed the way you dress". Indecent dressing certainly draws attention, the wrong kind, including that of the rapist!

It makes me wonder when some men claim a woman's dressing no matter how indecent and provocative will have no effect on them. Let's not deceive our sisters and daughters, if their dresses don't properly cover sensitive parts of their body, then most men who look at them will be sexually stirred and turned on. While you make a valid point about rapists exploiting the weak emotional and physical make up of some women, it does not cancel out indecent dressing triggering sex impulse which men may not be able to handle.

Like the example you made of the Biodun DAKolo case, we need to notice that she answered the door in her night wear according to her account in the video interview. Most ladies night wear are transparent and see-through gowns. We cannot dismiss indecent dressing from this case. As a parent will you teach your daughters to answer the door in their night wears?

Hmmm...our opinions will remain varied and diverse about this matter of indecent dressing causing or contributing to rape incidents. There definitly are those, mostly women, who will never see the correlation between the two. I will never justify the rapist but I will keep preaching that we must protect ourselves the best way we can. Do not see danger and wilfully expose yourself to it! In the end, the rapist will face his jail time and will someday be released but the victim will never have their virginity restored or may never put the trauma behind...Prevention is better than cure!

This Ruga settlement issue is just one of the many acts of injustice the federal government exhibits on a daily basis.
