European UNION is not a country.
PoliticsRe: We Need A ''United States Of Africa'' by udezue(m): 4:12am On Dec 28, 2010
We dont need it. Lets just go back to our previous boundaries and form nations with ethnic groups that we can live with then after that we can have United States of Africa or better a European Union type of arrangement. Africa is way too big to run as a country.

@Sapeleguy, there is nothing interesting about Onlytruth's point of self sustainability of other regions, if he succeeds in his futile attempt at creating the said nation.  It suffices to say remind you people that, it is in the record that, it was the farmers in the North that produced the groundnuts and resources that supplemented the various budgets of the West and East up till 1970.

PoliticsRe: The Issue Of Abandoned Properties Is Not Yet Settled by udezue(m): 9:41pm On Dec 27, 2010
This is not about barbarism. If you snatch my property away from me then have the guts to chase me with cutlass when I come to reclaim it best believe I will return with mortar and blow you and the house to pieces then no one will be able to live in it.

Ndi-Igbo should not have to beg lazy bums in PH to vacate their property. If u no buy am it aint yours so stay at your own risk.
PoliticsRe: The Issue Of Abandoned Properties Is Not Yet Settled by udezue(m): 9:34pm On Dec 27, 2010

PoliticsRe: Pat Utomi Officially Declares To Run As A Presidential Candidate In 2011 by udezue(m): 9:21pm On Dec 27, 2010
He should 1st start his work in Delta state then walk his way up to the national level. I like the man and know he means well but I'm not he is that popular in Nigeria. He should make a name for himself in his native Delta state 1st then people will see clearly what he is all about.

PoliticsRe: The Issue Of Abandoned Properties Is Not Yet Settled by udezue(m): 9:10pm On Dec 27, 2010
My brother in-law was just telling me how they lost their properties in PH and how many Igbo men / women were killed trying to reclaim their properties. These attacks and killings by useless natives of PH were sanctioned by the government. Even non-natives like Saro Wiwa got a good share of the loot. This issue if not resolved will forever cause disharmony among our people. i don't blame Igbo ppl who have disdain for anything PH or even Rivers state.
PoliticsRe: The Issue Of Abandoned Properties Is Not Yet Settled by udezue(m): 3:01am On Dec 27, 2010
Lazy treacherous set of people. I swear sometimes umuIgbo need to copy the Hausa-Fulani of Jos and deal with these miscreants. How do you move into another man's property and call it yours? Cheiiii I hate the fact that we are way too gentle with these people and they still have the nerve to call us names.

Jason, just carry ur itsekiri dey waka go Oduduwa. Yoruba inteLlect and Igbo hardwork? Na only for Yoruba land ppl with intellect exist? Can we just stick to forming nations with ppl who are compatible with eachother not all these ethnic self-praise. What happened to all the intellectuals when they refused to see the necessity of breaking away from the North b4?
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Needs To Split Urgently! by udezue(m): 9:33am On Dec 26, 2010
Only mentally lazy individuals obsess themselves over oil. We are talking about splitting the failed nation into viable nations and grouping ethnic nations with groups they are more compatible with and some are hear debating about who has more oil. *hiss*

@DayoKanu,

I'm not here to play any silly game with anyone or all that Biafra history crap coz I think u should study history first instead of folktales. Ukpabi Asika, Ikw Nwachukwu, Elechi Amadi fought against Biafra but they are Igbo. Does it mean the Igbo can't be part of Biafra?

Why should the action of Ken Saro Wiwa be an indication that the Ogoni can't be part of biafra when we have men like Kogbara who fought for Biafra?

Why should Adaka Boro's action against Biafra cancel that of Frank Opugo who fought for Biafra and even gave us the name?

Banjo and Soyinka supported Biafra. Banjo even led an army of Biafrans all the way to Ore so are u gonna say the Yoruba were in support of Biafra?

Point blank there were divisions and ppl fought on either side.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Needs To Split Urgently! by udezue(m): 8:15am On Dec 26, 2010
@dayokanu,

Ijo, Ogoni, had leaders who played roles in favor of Biafra so its not impossible for them to be part of a new Biafra.

I'm not to sure about the Urhobo-Isoko ppl. They can either go with Oduduwa or with Biafra. Culturally they seem fit to be with either Biafra or Oduduwa nation.

Igala and Idoma are culturally very close to Biafra. Some parts of Nsukka are a mix of both Idoma and Nsuka-Igbo and historically there are towns that shared leadership btwn the two. Almost like a North-South zoning of power. Igala and many Anambra towns got so much in common. Ex, Egwu Igede. Idoma and Igala also share same market days with the Igbo.

What other ethnic groups are in Delta state? Its only 4 of em and they were all covered.

Certain Southern-Eastern and Middlebelt groups have been intermarrying for who knows how long and also have cultural similarities, linguistic ties, also same and similar style of government.
The majority of Igbo, Ijo, Efik, Ogoni, Idoma communities have always had lose type of federation or autonomous entities even b4 British arrived. A form of Democracy did exist.
Yoruba, Bini, Esan, Itekiri, share many similarities and common ancestory. Also they had a more centralized type of government or I guess Kingdom/Dynasty. Some are muslim and some are xtians.

Hausa-Nupe,Kanuri,Fulani got 1 thing that holds em together and its Islam. Nuff said.

Middlebelt is a mixed bunch. One thing that unites them is their opposition to Fulani-Islamic influence. They are also culturally related. They are mostly Christian and animist.

I'm simply going by history, language, type of governance, etc.

I see emergence of 4 nations from Nigeria.

Plateau is majority xtian state yet Hausa-muslim minority are whooping their butts? Well they have met their match coz truth be told Middlebelt ppl aren't innocent at all. A lot of past military dictators came from there. The Igbo / southerners have toughened up on muslims-Fulani hence they have turned their attention on middlebelt minorities and to an extent the Yoruba.

OnyeNkwu, nwanne u are right. Karma is a big bytch. They had no issue slaughtering and even blowing up fellow christians in tanks back then in the 60s. They worked hand in hand with thei Hausa-Muslim lords so let them get a full taste of their wickedness. Until these ppl or their leaders acknowledge their own wrong and role they played in foisting muslim on themselves they will see no peace. Due to religious sentiment I want to support them but the u remember their dastardly act.

AGAIN
How many alphabets are in Ekpeye language?
What is "come" in Ekpeye?
How many Market days do u have in Ekpeye?

As for ur Ojukwu not invited every village chief in Ekpeye LOLOLOLOL I don't even know whether he invited Aro king or Igwe of Awka. He didn't have to silly.

Aro and Abiriba have significant influence from efik-Ibibio but guess what no Aro or Abiriba man will deny being Igbo just because his name is Archibong, Mang, Ofong, Obasi, Eni, etc. Maybe its due to our level of education and also contacts with many people so we tend to not be as ignorant and uneducated as our mba mmiri neighbors.

In many Igboid communities the greeting vary, we have several like,

Ndewo (central Igbo), Njokwa (Abakiliki, Afikpo) , Ajeh (Ukwuani, Anioma), etc.

Kedu (central) , Olia (ngwa) , Nda (ikwerre, aro), etc.

Nne Yoruba language have dialects just like the Igbo and Ijo.

The last time they wanted to install EzeNdiIgbo in Rivers state it leader of Ikwerre Liberation Movement who came out opposition to it and his reason was that majority of River state ppl and their culture is Igbo hence there is no need having an Eze Igbo in Rivers since it contradicts the belief that his Ikwerre ppl and other subgroups are Igbo. U don't have Eze Igbo Delta state. Do you?

As for Ekpeye having their own group and Ikwerre having their Ogbako Ikwerre, AFRODIVA!!!! Arochukwu also has NZUKO ARO, and other Igbo groups have their own respective groups coz just as much as we recognize our common Igbo heritage we also recognize our distinct local identities.

What Igbo group influenced Ekpeye, made the change their names, their language, their attire coz the last time I checked Igbo subgroups were very independent of eachother unlike Yoruba, Fulani who moved most of the time as one entity.
PoliticsRe: Booing Galore As Gov Amaechi Dares Okrika People(Ijaws).Waterfronts Must Go Down by udezue(m): 5:34pm On Dec 23, 2010
@ Afro,
And there were upperland Igbos like Ukpabi Asika, Ike Nwachukwu who also fought against Nigeria so does that make them non-Igbo? Please don't try to act innocent because ur comment to Andre wasn't the nicest hence I feel no need to be nice to you either ODE. What makes Ekpeye non Igbo and Abiriba Igbo? Can you tell me that? No you don't get to choose who you are because God created you already as whatever. I can't just wake up one day claim to be only Awka or Aro but not Igbo. Thats very stuppid.
The term Igboid language means dialect of the Igbo language.
An Awka dialect is way different from Afikpo dialect.
An Aro dialect is way different from Ukwuani dialect.
Igboid languages are Awka, Aro, Abiriba, Ezza, Igbanke, Ekpeye, Ikwerre, Ndoni, Kwale, Okigwe, Olu, Enugu-Wawa, Owerri, Mbaise, etc.
Most Igbos like me who grew up in cosmopolitan cities like Enugu speak the central dialect and also mixture of these other Igboid dialects due to our mixed background of several Igbo communities. I am still not fluent in Awka and Aro. I haven't even dared to learn Agbo dialect / langauge.
Please leave Chinyen out of this. It shows your desperation. FYI Chinyen is proudly Igbo. His disagreement with many Igbos in NL has a lot to do with his overly in-ward attitude towards Igbo affiars especially Ngwa issues not becuase he denies being Igbo. I know him both on NL and Facebook and we agree and also disagree on issues.

How many alphabets are in Ekpeye language?
How many market days do you have in Ekpeye?
What is "come" in Ekpeye?

Honest answers please.

Afro,
Like Andre said stop chatting crap. The Ekpeye fought in Biafra and faced a lot repression after it for their support so who forced them? Ekpeye is clearly Igbo so go sit ur butt down with that Igboid crap coz for ur info the same way Ekpeye is Igboid is the same way Awka or Ukwuani is Igboid. Going by ur moronic assertion I should conclude that Abiriba or Arochukwu is Ibibiod since there are certain similarities and sharing of same words.
