Politics / Re: Group Wants Igbanke Included In The Proposed Anioma State by udezue(m): 11:49pm On Oct 10, 2011
And what will I stand to gain if they were Igbo or not? I was totally fine growing up not knowing they were native Igbos in Edo state. I'm still fine now knowing that I do have kit and kin all the way on that side of Nigeria and Igbo land. I happen to come from a family with Ibibio last name and the last I checked I didn't see anything evil about Igbo person saying we are Igbo nor did I see anything selfish about an Efik-Ibibio recognizing that we do share same heritage with them as well.
Politics / Re: Group Wants Igbanke Included In The Proposed Anioma State by udezue(m): 10:32pm On Oct 10, 2011
And who said last names are the only way to figure where someone is from? There are Igbos with Efik-Ibibio last names. My point here is that those names aren't that non-Igbo at all. The spelling makes them seem like that. Another thing ppl forget is that Central Igbo is different from specific Igbo dialects so some names are going to appear non-Igbo to ur average non-Igbo but we the fluent speakers can recognize it immediately.
Politics / Re: South East Govs Demand For 2 Additional States by udezue(m): 10:27pm On Oct 10, 2011
We need equal number of states or regions. 3 regions for the North and 3 for the South or 3 regions for West, 3 for East and 3 for the North.
Politics / Re: South East Govs Demand For 2 Additional States by udezue(m): 10:18pm On Oct 10, 2011
The SE govs should stick to their guns. If the North and West aren't ready to budge then they should veto and destroy whatever bill they see in sight. You clowns have been dragging us back for years in the name of one Nigeria so if u are not ready to do the right thing we will drag u down as well. No restructuring. Let's continue to be dominated by the North all because u love to see the Eastern region and SE in particular short-changed.
Politics / Re: South East Govs Demand For 2 Additional States by udezue(m): 9:57pm On Oct 10, 2011
2 more state is extremely fair. Every zone deserves equal and fair treatment. If you there are too many states in Nigeria then have ur region dissolve at least 1 or two states to bring eacjh zone down to 5 states each.
Politics / Re: Group Wants Igbanke Included In The Proposed Anioma State by udezue(m): 9:50pm On Oct 10, 2011
Okoh is Igbo.
We have Oko town in the SE.

Akhabue is also Igbo.
In central Igbo it will be Akabue or Akagbue.

Those names look Edoid or are spelled like that due to close proximity btwn those Igbo and Esan-Edo people.

The last person I will listen to in terms of history is the self hating bigot killayut aka Tom Briggs so keep it moving. You write nothing but crap. Which one is Ochococho? Kiwi who was around during the war said Bakana ppl were moved to Igbo heartland. Where is Ochococho in Igbo land? What the heck does that even mean? U need to quit making up stories and step out the way. There was nothing Odorogwu or whatever u are making up. Bakana town was never occupied by Igbo people since most parts of Southern Rivers state / PH were already evacuated. My parents were in PH and also had to evacuate before the fall of those areas. You make no damn sense because if Igbo ppl wanted to get rid of Bakana ppl they would have just killed them all not relocate them. Bakana was used by the military. I am certain they did for good of them. Why would the military be fighting in areas where they are civilians? U have to move them out of the way to reduce risk of collateral damages and unneeded deaths of civilian ppl so the evacuation was justified and not done out of spite or to kill them off or make Bakana Igbo land. What the heck is so significant about Bakana?
Igbo ppl in riverine areas swam, fished and used their water. U must be an idi0t to suggest that somehow they didn't have the mental capacity to know what to do with water or how to navigate simple water. Yeah u knew how to fish in the Indian ocean yet still remain poor, destitute and in perpetual bondage. Biko keep it moving.

She should just speak Igbo or Ijo fluently and have someone translate for non-speakers. Our languages are just as important as English so if u can't speak English, fine, just speak what u can speak intelligently.

BTW there is abundant oil across Igbo land. The only ppl that want your oil are Northerners, Yoruba and the British and they have it and have laid your environment to waste. Blame it Adaka Boro and others who fought to keep u in Nigeria not Igbos.
Culture / Re: Kalabari People! by udezue(m): 8:18am On Oct 02, 2011
@Kiwi and co, I think its about time u people quit spreading ur lies and mis-informations.

I am from Northern Igbo land and also claim Eastern Igbo land / Ibibio as well. Please I have never heard about Kalabari raiding us or any hatred against Kalabari due to slave raids. You raided who? What exact Igbo community did you raid, Ikwerre, Eche, Ndoni, or what? Your issue might be with the neigboring Southern Igbo clans or tribes but not with entire Igbo nation because u don't share any direct boundary with Western, Northern and Eastern Igbo groups. The last I checked before the arrival of the Europeans different Igbo tribes were independent of each other and still are but to a lesser extent. The Abam raided neighboring clans and were working for the Aros are mercenaries so the idea that slave trade was solely btwn the Kalabari or Ijo and Europeans is BS. Modern day Igbos don't even mention Kalabari or Ijo when talking about slavery but Arochukwu. The idea that u are resented or hated due to ur role during slavery is damn lie. Also Igbos who had direct access to rivers, streams, equally knew how to swim and navigate riverine areas. I don't understand why folks like u act like u are the only ones who lived near rivers, lakes, etc. Are u telling us that no Igbo man knew how to swim? LOL. Igbo communities from Asaba to Onicha, to Eastern and Southern Igbo land navigated their rivers. There were movements btwn Anioma to Onicha through the River Niger. If not there won't be Igbos on both sides of the Niger River speaking same language but ofcourse different dialects. Imo river, Oguta lake, etc are also areas with riverine Igbo people. You are not the only ones who have access to rivers.

What Igbos I know hate about you is your damn treacherous activities during the war not slavery. If its about slavery then Aros, Abam, people would be hated as well.

Evacuation of Bakana had nothing to do with the Igbo as a group coz Biafran army consisted of non-Igbo as well. The last I checked Effiong was second in command and he was Ibibio not Igbo. Evacuating the town may not have been the smartest thing to do but we all know it has nothing to do with hatred towards Kalabari people coz if it was about that the Biafran army would have just wasted you lot with bullets instead wasting their damn time evacuating u. Your town was closer to the ocean and closer to arrival of Nigerian troops so it made sense that they chose Bakana not Arochukwu or Ikot Ekpene. Its unfortunate lives were lost during the evacuation but to blame that on Igbos is stup!d. U need to get that out of your head. Awka ppl also evacuated Awka town. U think people didn't die? People die when there is evacuation of such magnitude.
The name Biafra was suggested by an Ijo man, Frank Opigo so quit spreading ur stup!d idea that Biafra was an Igbo project. Yes Igbos were majority. Ogoni ppl also fought for Biafra regardless of the fact that one of their most prominent sons betrayed Biafra and later apologized when he realized his mistakes years later.
Many Ibibios fought fiercely for Biafra. Ikot Ekpene town put up stiff resistance and Effiong asked for more re-enforcements but Ojukwu didn't grant it and that has remained a major source of disagreement btwn the two.
Saro Wiwa also called Biafra an Igbo empire but took those words back before he was executed by the same Northern soldiers he worked for against Biafra thinking he was bringing Igbos down.
There are Kalabari people who are mixed with Igbos and the idea that they are forbidden from acknowledging that is a damn lie. I know Kalabari ppl who have told me their great-grand mothers are Igbos sef so its not a damn secret or a taboo. If there is no link btwn Kalabari and their neighboring Igbo communities then how could there be any marriage or are u gonna tell us that Kalabari raided those Igbo communities for wives? Don't you have women in Kalabari or is Kalabari a town made up of men alone so that explains why u had to go marry the Igbos who hate u so much.

Riverine communities including the Igbo ones have always had a tradition of marrying upperland Igbos from areas like Umuahia so there has to be a link. Whether u turn Kalabari by force or choice does not erase your DNA. Igbos who married your people also brough with them their culture and influenced the Kalabari they married. No one totally letz go of their language and culture especially when proximity is so close. It was marriage not slavery and even slaves influence. The Igbo migrants and slaves turned Opobo and Bonny islands into Igbo outposts. Igbo language and culture is dominant in those areas.

There are links btwn Aro-Igbo and Ibibio, Abiriba-Igbo and Efik,
Kalabari and upperland Igbos, Igbanke-Igbos and Bini, etc. It doesn't kill to admit the freakin truth and move on.

Now u betrayed Biafra and what did u gain? Slavery? Being a slave to anyone is never a good thing so to say that u will rather be a slave to Nigeria FG seems stup!d and ignorant coz either way u still gonna be a damn slave in your land. Its funny that the same issues Biafra fought for that some of you who fought against is now what u are fighting and getting killed for now.

God Bless Biafra and the Kalabari and Ijo, Igbo, Ibibio, Ogoni, people who sacrificed their lives for it.
