manny4life: This is what pisses me off the most, this is why Nigeria and Nigerians is way beyond docile.

So he promised a cargo airport, a seaport and a 2nd Niger bridge through a PPP-BOT transfer, has he delivered, not yet. I wouldn't say I'm a fan of GEJ, though he has had his shortcomings, but let's face the simple truth.

1. Peter Obi of Anambra state went publicly to kill the Airport idea by saying that airport in the SE (Onitsha) will not be fiscally/financially viable, thus waste of resources. If the State CEO can make such damaging comments such as this, though the president has the final say, what does that say about us? Why agitate against the FG when the state CEO has clearly written off the idea?

2. The PPP-BOT transfer of the Niger bridge is ongoing, though at a slow pace. We all know how that works in Nigeria, but let the truth be told, the bridge concerns ALL SE states, as such that the bridge serves a major connecting point - entry and exit - into southeastern states. What has other state governors done? Or is this Anambra problem only? The SE is a docile region , the people are so quiet and timid, no one is asking questions, no one is holding our govts accountable. Do we really expect to be Nigeria's top economy with this type of "IDC behavior"?

3. The Onitsha River port has been started, but my people, ask yourself, what has Peter Obi done to start/initiate operations on that port? Do we have to wait on the FG all the time? I know Anambra is judicious with her resources, but heck, that port should have started operations by now if only the state govt was willing to take the plunge.

In other words, as much as GEJ hasn't delivered to the fullest this particular promises, it's about time we begin to look beyond the lies being fed to us. Developments occur at State/LG levels NOT at FG levels. If Peter Obi is not willing to harness the resources of the states, though promised by the FG, the FG has no incentive to wanna try. We cannot continue to cast blames on FG all the time, I would have expected Peter Obi to have approached the govt for temp mgmt regarding the River port. When people begin to see the govt zeal for revival, they will follow.

This bridge can be built by Delta/Anambra comfortably well, and have their state assemblies regulate it since it involves interstate commerce, but NO, we're waiting on the FG. I've ALWAYS said this, if we continue to wait on the FG to do everything for us, we're heading NOWHERE. Every resourceful economy does not depend on their FG for everything, though Nigeria is gradually shifting into real democracy (thanks to the recent passage of bill to grant autonomy to state assemblies and LG), our arms of govt need to seat up and stop depending of Abj FAAC Allocation or FG to come put their house in order.

Politics / Re: Did Chinua Achebe Actually Do Anything To Promote Development In Nigeria? by udezue(m): 2:10am On Mar 25, 2013
dayokanu: The only thing Ashebe promoted in Nigeria was tribalism.

He died a bitter man. He was bitter against everything in life. Bitter against Yoruba, against Awolowo, Against Nobel committee, against Nigeria

His bitterness obviously killed him.

It would have been better if Ashebe died a year ago than now when all his legacy are now tainted with trialism

He would be remembered for being a Bigot

Thats why Soyinka excelled over him anyday

Soyinka, A Yoruba man supported and was jailed for Biafra

Soyinka a Yoruba man supported and was the spokesman for the niger Delta

Soyinka was way ahead of Ashebe in all walks of life

Chinua Achebe died at age 82. Bitch the last time I checked he lived a long purposeful life you slowpoke. He stood up tall and firm for his people the Igbo and the Eastern region. Unlike bastards like you in the West. Wole Soyinka aint complaining so why drag him into this?

SEEMS TO BE A HUGE DISPLAY OF COWARDICE.
DECLARE WAR, YOU DON'T NEED TO ANNOUNCE ANY STUPID READINESS.

I'm a proud Biafran but I have to agree 100%. MASSOB needs to either do it or just shit the hell up.

The Igbos are a major group in the East and the largest in size and population. The best solution is to copy the Fulani way of treating its neighbors and burn down Bokiri if needed to teach those causing them such trouble not to mess with them. I'm sick and tired of it. I can understand if they are a minority in places like the North but not in PH where they are majority. Sometimes you have to get really nasty to gain respect and if they make Bokiri area and that market a war zone since the inhabitants have declared war on them I am sure they will be begging for peace.

@Emmke, what irritates me about ppl like u and MB ppl is your inability to admit the truth and your wrongs. You conspired with the Fulani, Hausa, Kanuri ppl to wipe our people out in the North and yes majority of MB ppl joined the army to further slaughter so yes you get what you deserve. When u ppl can openly admit that u did do us wrong then we can truly feel sorry for u. A part of me dey feel for them while other part is feeling like Bleep THEM.
