1. If they don't apply, we won't know for sure now, would we? As long as their intention is just to temporarily visit and come back, then all is well. All they've got to do is convince the V.O of same. But if you ask me, two adults with no ties to Nigeria save a family business is not so much of an advantage. 2. If they'll be travelling together then group interview would be fine (personal opinion). Irrespective of their mode of application, special care should be taken when filling the DS-160 form.
3. Waste of money huh? That's a risk all applicants take.

I like your spirit, but I'll advice you carry out a research and then decide because in this country imports account for a huge percentage of our daily consumption, for example do you know the major brands of shoe polish we use (kiwi, & bee and flower) are imported? so we cannot establish industries to produce these things? that's why I said I love your spirit.
