LadyGuinivere: Emmmm this opinion about vacationing without family... I see nothing in it o! I applied without hubby for vacation. Around winter sef and it wasn't an issue... Can we remember the person that said' I Want to go and see snow ooo' Ties trumps purpose anytime On a serious note, did someone really say he/she main purpose of wanting to travel to US is TO SEE SNOW? Or y'all are just playing too much? |

; Beniyoha01: *Sincerely, the post NYSC brother of yours without a job is a red flag, but him fit do try-your-luck-sha. *The Engineer, looks good-to-go... *There's no place for post NYSC, he could only state that himself at the interview... As it is, HE'S JOBLESS, Chikena!
Lastly, all US embassies have same human beings manning them with same training using same immigration laws... If dem like make dem go US embassy for Sambisa forest, na the same ooooo.... Heheee@ Sambisa |

Beniyoha01: WOW... your sisters look good to go, with such courses and in final year.
1) Going with the passport is no big deal, all they need do is state it in the DS160 that they're traveling with their parents (Don't worry, the DS160 form has a space for that question) and on the interview day, they go with the passport. If the VO ask them for Passport/prove then they can present it.
2) Ties are relative, for some people, Good Job, Marriage, Properties etc, Please endeavor to read past thread-posts as all of these have been dealt with in the past, (ESPECIALLY THE PART 1 OF THIS THREAD) https://www.nairaland.com/608780/usa-visit-visa/102
Danke! @ Danke, You be better person. Thank you for the insight. I will look at the 1st part of the thread as indicated. Na 2 girls and 2 boys. One boy dey post NYSC and the other na Engineer for construction company for Bayelsa. Is there a place to fill post NYSC? Biko epp me ! Last question : They are in the East and can go to either Lagos or Abuja for the interview. Where would you recommend they go if they were your siblings? Thank you |

LadyGuinivere: I gave my own understanding of what could constitutes strong ties about 4-5 pages back. Please read back. Its been a dog day for me. Whether they aply as a group or differently, I seriously don't think it makes any difference. Each person is analysed individually. There's this transcript of a dad, son and nephew. Dad got. His son and nephew didn't? Get the picture? They can go together since the plan is to travel together. To show transparency. Your parents' visas also dosent add or take away any advantage. Same story I told above. A student may use that as a tie. If someone is a 1st class final year medical student, if I were the vo I would seriously hold that in his favour. Though the ratio of student and successful visa transcript has not been high. The only advice that is popping into my head now is, if your siblings in school are doing well academically, they should finy to squeeze it in the ds 160. I don't know of the section for job function is active in a student's application. That's a good place to put in his/her GPA, which year, course and of course carry supporting docx. U made me rack my brain with the headake wen dey worry me Btw how did u immigrate? Legally or klegically? Hahaaaa@ klegically! That's so ochi Eze. I did migrate legally. Hubby is a citizen and living here so I had to leave my beloved Naija to join him here. Theres no 1st class/2nd class thing in pharmacy/Medicine. I will go back and check for the ties essay you wrote. Biko , drop anymore useful Info when your head cools. Thanks |

Udiboy: Beniyoha, 1. Please how does going with my parents passport work? Can it be allowed inside the place of interview and if yes, can they voluntarily show the Interviewer? Please, explain to me and pardon my ignorance.
2. Please what are examples of strong ties? My sisters are in both final year pharmacy and Medicine respectively .
Thank you. |

Beniyoha01: Group is better since it's a vacation.... Being a student is not a strong tie, students could abandon their education in search for greener pastures. since your parents a travelling and they have their visas already your siblings could go with their passports... But it's not a guaranty. Beniyoha, 1. Please how does going with my parents passport work? Can it be allowed inside the place of interview and if yes, can they voluntarily show the Interviewer? Dear Gurus in the house, I have four siblings in thier 20's and they plan on coming for easter per my invitation. My parents are coming for easter as well for 1 month. They are on b1/B2. Is it advisable to schedule for group interview(family) or individually for the 4 of them?
Just curious! 2 are students and 2 are working. We just want to have a cool Family Easter vacation.
What are strong ties? How is it proved? Is being a student a strong tie?
Thank you
Thank you! |

I just checked up and they have different rates of 260 and 220 naira to 1 $ depending on ur urgency. If I send from US, how does one pick it up from Naija? Go to bank? How? bdavis: It has come to my knowledge, via a fellow nairalander that the fraudulent entity known to nairaland as teamsuxx, is going around claiming he refunded my naira after he hacked several paypal accounts to sell paypal funds to me and the account holder opened a dispute with paypal.
That claim is totally false. He never and hasn't refunded no money (maybe he dreams about making the refund, but that's just what it is...a dream).
I challenge him to show prove of such refund(s)...which account did he send it to? Which bank? What country? What state? When was the refund made? In what manner? In which currency?
Nairalanders BEWARE! This guy took me for a ride (no I am not ashamed to say it) but if my experience can help someone avoid experiencing same... Hmmm, sorry to hear that. Its a difficult thing to trust someone this days. I hope you get your refund. Its unfortunate because this are the scammers giving good citizens bad name. He will reap what he sows . I hope you get your refund soon |
