PoliticsRe: ?is Igbo-part Of Najia Really To Dangerous For Charity Work ? by Udode(op): 12:36pm On Jul 04, 2008
I havent asked, but they wrote me:

"Leider können wir Dich nicht im Osten platzieren, wo Igbo gesprochen wird, da die Sicherheitslage dort zu kritisch ist."

Which means as much as unfortunately we can not place you in the east, where ibgo is spoken due to the critical security situation. Maybe she is relating it to white people who go there,,,or i don't know. but i havent asked back, since they were already stating that they will not send me there cry

Politics?is Igbo-part Of Najia Really To Dangerous For Charity Work ? by Udode(op): 10:35am On Jul 04, 2008
I wanted to apply for a programme where i can come to nigeria and work with street children and / or hiv orphans.
And it seems that all the organizations want to send me to west side of nijia, although i would love nothing more than to come to the east - igbo part, so that meanwhile i can learn that wonderful language!

Is it politically really that unstable?

Thnx for your help!

I'd like to add to all the above comments:

People stopp generalizing!!!

No matter if a man/ woman is white, black, blue, green, yellow, purple or whatever colour, and no matter if a guy/ girl is from nigeria, morocco, congo, china or wherever - does not meen that if you know somebody who has the same colour or roots, is en identical double of that person.

If you like to talk in the words of God as most people do:
God has created every person as a unique one.

So give everyone the chance and respect them as a unique person. To say you would not want a nigerian because of what has happened to your friend, or because you read bad thigs about nigerian man or whatever, just stop lying to yourself. It is clear that you might think thisway, but this is just a meaning of selfprotection, men learn of other peoples experiences, otherwise we would not have developed in the way we did, but this is genetically programmed, and has nothing to do with reality!!! Give people a chance to be themselves!
FamilyRe: Tell Us About Your Marriage by Udode(f): 10:32am On Jul 02, 2008
ok you say you want to hear it from the women? There you go

I met my husband when i was 17. He was asyl in my town and i wanted to show him around town.
on that day, we went to a restaurant and sat there talking for 6 hours with nothing but one cup of coffe.
We just forgot the time. After that we started to see more often and this is how ge got to know each other.

We got married exactely two years later, since i was still a student, he came to live with my parents (remember
he did not have a job back then) we lived in my room for about 1 year be4 finding our own appartement.

and then things got troubled:
- i found out he had another girl besides me
- i found out he had a brother in switzerlan which he told me was only a good friend
- i found out he had declared his cousin as his own child in order as to bring him to switzerland one da
- i found out that he lied about his reasons 4 coming to switzerland
- and so on,

now you want to know what happened, after two more years we are now at the point of separation. I have fallen in love with another man (nigerian) and i hope that this time i will not be disapointed again.

But if you think now that i am regretting getting married at that age - you are wrong.
I am a person who never regrets things in life. It was God's plan for me and i accept that,
and by the way my husban has remained a good friend till today, he is a good guy and a really lovely person, but the wrong one for me!!!

ok seun, i will ask wink

But this post was to know one' own point of you! So what do you answer?

Is one woman enough?
FamilyRe: Nigeria Law For Divorce by Udode(f): 9:57am On Jul 02, 2008
Let me give you this advice.
Why don't you suggest to get married in nigeria - traditional wedding.

This one is for certain, if he accepts, he is not trying to play a game, because
traditional mariage you only get once!
FamilyRe: Polygamy: Is One Woman Not Enough? by Udode(op): 7:08am On Jul 02, 2008
@seun

good advice, but do you really think he would tell me that if i'd ask?
i thinki this is something you always find out later on, not
at the beginning. or do you disagree?
FamilyRe: Polygamy: Is One Woman Not Enough? by Udode(op): 6:52am On Jul 02, 2008
What a smart girl you are :-)

yes i am white! Why, does that change anything in your way of replying?
I was just wondering and interested to hear from people what they think about it.

I have lots of african friends, some say that polygamie is normal and still
done today, and others say that this is only for the elder generation, and that nowadays this is hardly
ever done again!
FamilyRe: Polygamy: Is One Woman Not Enough? by Udode(op): 3:26pm On Jul 01, 2008
Come on guys! I really want to know what you think about this!!!
FamilyPolygamy: Is One Woman Not Enough? by Udode(op): 2:02pm On Jul 01, 2008
Hi Everyone

I know that for some men, it is absolutely normal to have several "wifes".
How do you think about this! Do you think you can stick to one woman only
or could you imagine having several women?

Second question: If you are together with a white woman, would you still
want a black woman besides?
Christianity EtcRe: Juju: Real Or Not? by Udode(op): 1:58pm On Jul 01, 2008

RomanceRe: Is It Possible To Love Two Guys by Udode(f): 8:57pm On Jun 30, 2008
if you think you love two guys at the same time, you should start looking for a new one. cause 4 neither one of them you have enought love to let the other one goe!!! there is more than two men in this world, so just dont satisfy yourself too quick! there is a cover for every bottle, if you know what im trying to say!
Christianity EtcRe: Juju: Real Or Not? by Udode(op): 8:51pm On Jun 30, 2008
@lady

im so sorry 4 what you had to go trough. But by reading your story, i can tell that you are a strong woman. Never give up, and i know you will graduate! what are you studying if i may ask?

where i come from, we dont believe in juju, but id have to say that not only "we" dont believe in it, but that our enemies dont believe in it either. Im not sure if i am making myself clear. If you grow up without knowing what juju is, and no one does, nobody will ever use it against the other.

i just hope that one day people will realize that doing harm to somebody else is doing harm to yourself as well!
Christianity EtcRe: Juju: Real Or Not? by Udode(op): 2:29pm On Jun 30, 2008
@ folly69 How do you know it was juju that killed him?
Christianity EtcRe: Juju: Real Or Not? by Udode(op): 10:52am On Jun 30, 2008
I think i know what you want to say.
But a person that thinks to be bewitched, and that is religious (of course you would have to define that too) at the same time would start praying to God that this juju should stop, right?

So if it is one and the same, where is the point in praying to God for protection or "healing"? Or differently asked, why would people believe in both, ?
Christianity EtcRe: Juju: Real Or Not? by Udode(op): 10:19am On Jun 30, 2008
Huxley,

I think you are right. As far as I am concerned, juju can only work if you believe in it. Because if you don't, you would never allow somebody to take control over you.

By the way, wouldn't you say that being religios (beliving in God) and beliveing in Juju is a contradiction?
Christianity EtcRe: Juju: Real Or Not? by Udode(op): 8:43am On Jun 30, 2008
Mishoo, thanks for your caring, but im not nigerian!

Im a born swiss and onjocha too :-) just something im really interested in, since in my culture there is nothing alike!
Christianity EtcJuju: Real Or Not? by Udode(op): 8:15am On Jun 30, 2008
Everyone on this page should have heard about JuJu.

But is it something you consider real or not? Do you have examples of it?
Or did you experience it?

Please share your thoughts openly!
