Family / Re: Did You Grow up In Barracks. Share Your Experience by UFEDO95: 6:14pm On Jul 08, 2021
Barracks life is interesting but has its prons and cons though,
Barracks has a 90% security ( speaking for army barracks) , Gossip and pock nosing is the order of the day, Officers and soldiers are promiscuous except for few, barrack women are competitive, they are always jealous of themselves, few kids in there are well behaved, most of them are just there.
WASA party unites everyone and tombola night party for officers and soldiers, So in the barracks it best to leave your life on a low key, do not loud your success and achievements. Also do not forget, some people in there are also diabolic, to mention but a few.

My darling
Firstly, leave his house, you're not married to him.
Secondly run for you dare life and for your sanity.
If eventually you get married to him,you will get tired with that attitude,a man should perform his responsibilities without complain, when children start coming,is that how he will complain about milk, foodstuffs etc.
To me he is sounding like a stingy man who will not take his eyes off his wife's money, and want them to share responsibilities equally.what's that?
A man is to take full responsibilities of his family, then the wife supports him.

My darling, marriage is not a bed of roses,it is not as we see it to be, thousands and millions of challenges comes, and at a point you get tired and ask yourself "why did I do this at this time?", "I should have waited", "how come I married this man/woman", If i had known better I wouldn't have ended up like this. ETC not in all cases but in most cases.i am not trying to discourage you bro.
I don't even know how to express it but I wish you good luck.but take it slowly hun.!!

[quote author=pozehnani post=94878655]The words of the two married people above me are not encouraging.

So, are you guys saying we should forget about it?? Cos me I've even lost interest judging by what I see in so many homes today both on social media and in real life of spouses killing each other.

I am telling you, God help us.

Family / Marriage! Marriage!! Marriage!!! Is It Really As It Sounds? by UFEDO95: 4:30pm On Oct 12, 2020
Good evening lovelies,
Let's talk about marriage, share experience and perceptions. Is it really as it sounds? is it as sweet as it is painted to be? Is it over rated or under rated? what do we really need to know and learn about it? Why do people rush in? Is it that they have no idea what it entails.
I hear people say" if I had known,I would not have gotten married when I did" or "I would not have gotten married to this person".
Our married couples pls kindly give us advice and tell us what we need to know ranging from spouses to in-laws etc.
Thank you!!!

ibkayee:
Can’t emphasise the importance of a woman having her own money enough, even if your husband is ok with fully taking care of you, still have something you can fall back on.

It’s empowering, self fufilling, it brings independence, multiple streams of income won’t hurt the household, you’re less of a liability, if your guy falls on bad times you can step in and help, being entirely reliant on your guy can open doors for misbehaviour (cheating, abuse, etc)

There was a recent story of one peanut head Nigerian man who destroyed a business he helped his wife build because he felt she was becoming ‘too proud’. When you have your own, if things go wrong you will have more options

So many reasons
Thank you so much
I find this piece interesting

Explain your question very well, please.

You want to know if it is possible for a lady to be financially independent before marriage?

The answer is yes.
I mean why is it important and not knowing if it is possible
Thank you
