Nebeuwa: Why can't Abia look like this? It is right next door and it has oil wells. Why do you always feel like comparing states? its not a contest. celebrate Aks for what it is and Abia for what it is. dont forget that ABA is a great commercial/industrial city in nigeria very few cities in nigeria can compare to Aba for its industry. |

seunfly: I don't know why u people are tribalising this thing, it has been happening since 1997 in Lagos whem marwa use to arrest any male dt perm their hair, then Tinubu in 2002 and Fashola in 2008, 2009 and 2011 during this period it was majorly Yoruba people and little Hausa people and nobody tribalised it, infact igbo people make fun of Yoruba people. When Abia government did something similar nobody tribalised it, when Anambra did something similar on mweka bridge nobody tribalised it. Now it is igbo's turn to suffer similar faith, it has been tribalised. The tribal colouration added to this thing is dangerous and sad. Instead of us to come together to condem what is unaceptable, we are busy creating tribal sentiments. So because others are purported to have done it makes it right or justifies lagos state government indulging in this absurd act of abusing the civil right of Nigerians by deporting and unlawfully detaining them indefinitely in their own country? lots of bad thing has happened in nigeria does it mean it must continue that way? I thought fashola was a progressive at least he marketed himself as one his action has proven that he is nothing but an unrepentant conservative worst than the PDP who is interested in keeping nigeria in the rotten state we are. He stood up for Amaechi recently when PDP was trying to make 5>27 and 16>19 and i hailed him thinking he was a progressive in deed.only to turn around the next day to discover that he was just another pretender politician. Guy stand for what is right and be consistent, when you see injustice in anyform resist it irrespective of whose ox is gored. |
1oracle: With the deportation of Nigerians from Lagos to Onitsha by midnight Governor Fashola and those fools supporting this action are already manifesting a Nigeria of their dreams.i just did and what i saw on google search box is unprintable. Oboy you wicked --o.lol |
Fashola is the one causing this crisis and then blaming Gov. Obi for it? Did politics make him deport the igbos? me think its his deep rooted hatred for igbos that informed that decision. This man is a coward instead of him to apologise for his ill informed decision, he is trying to shift blame. How is anyone inciting igbos? Fashola's decision for clandestine deportation and unlawful indefinite detention of igbos is the catalyst for this blow back and has nothing to do with others. Fashola Should man up and own up to you wrongdoing. and stop shifting blame to others. |
Is the recent deportation of igbos in Lagos and shutting down markets in lagos that has igbo majority as shop owners enough grounds to call fashola a tribalist? what do you guys think? |
Symphony007: why is benue dependent on allocation? How has benue utilized it's status as food basket of the nation to develop it's economy? Rivers state is not a agricultural state but the shonghai farm in tai LGA is amongs the best in the country and pumping revenue into the government. How many facilities like this does the benue state government run? Allocation my foot.whats your Almighty rivers state internally generated revenue viz a viz agricultural revenue |
this is not another opportunity to measure your dick this is about benue state teaching hospital. not an avenue for you to compare it with irrelevant issues. If you are so passionate about your state/ politics open a thread to promote it. and dont bring politics into this thread my concern if how governance is impacting on the ordinary man. |
Good news but not excited about govt run business it should be a PPP. |
^^^Not trying to be funny, but if Orkas' coup had succeeded, no country in Africa would have seen our brake lights, talkless of catching up with us!
you mean like all the other successful coup we've already had in nigeria? Coup is bad for our country nigeria and we have already learnt that bitter lesson. we don't need to go back there. Orka coup would not have been different and neither will any coup. Like it or not the worst democracy is better than the best military rule. In military regime the voice of the masses is stifled. You should be grateful for democracy for the freedom it has granted you to be able to freely talk about/advocate coup in an open social media platform. 17 years ago Al mustafa and co would be knocking on you door at this moment to squirrel you to one of their underground jails for torture and summary execution with no recourse to the law. |
dplomaticVal: I stil wonder hw it has contributed to the well being of its citizens.Give it time it will. the GE plant in calabar is under construction at the moment when complete you can imagine the impact. The ordinary citizens are looking for jobs, FDI bring jobs. The ordinary citizens are hungry, jobs brings income which buys food. They are homeless income pays rent or helps build personal houses/qualify u for mortgage loans. They are sycophants, solid income will rid our youths of this disease. The ordinary has been dehumanized into 419,kidnapping,boko haram, etc etc just in a bid to survive, solid income through jobs generation will mitigate this crisis. FDI builds local capacity to participate in that industry, creates competition and makes the market attractive for more investors. case in point MTN--------> Glo. |
