aManFromMars: Then why not combine them?

How Jesus use talk am sef? U can't serve two masters at the same time.. lol.
You can't combine them because the same thing that happens on people's "debate" thread will happen there, and not everyone fancies being called heathens and fools by others undecided

striktlymi: You still do not understand my angle...

This has little to do with someone's intent. For all we know, Ishi might have deliberately tried to 'tick the clock' of LB by that love song she made for Obadiah.

Anyways, I still find it a bit difficult to understand why Christians can't keep off a non-Christian chat thread. It's supposed to be as simple as not clicking on it, shey?
Beacause they have friends who are non-Christians and want to chat with them? undecided

If Ishi's love song is offensive to anyone then let them report it. Mynd once came to the Chatbox and went all mushy on me..some people indicated their discomfort and the posts were hidden. That's not so difficult is it? Any mod who will not protect the interest of the said individuals or group can be butchered here by all means, but then the Non-Christian thread doesn't have any specific rule like the Chatbox that disallows people from going lovey dovey or whatever else members consider as a taboo to their 'fragile' minds. Go make your rules (against offensive talk that is), and be justified to yell bloody hell when someone deliberately breaks them.

aManFromMars: That's why it's called a Christian chat thread.

Now what the hell does a non-Christian chat thread mean? No one has been able to explain that.

So simple.

Create a general chat thread for everyone and sticky that.

Unsticky the Christian chat thread... it will survive anyways.

Simple decision and all this brouhaha and crinkum-crankum go end grin grin
both threads serve as a General chat thread without the option of insults smiley
I think that's what the problem is here. People want to pick on others beliefs, but are frustrated by the rule that says no one should offend others on each thread.
Christianity Etc › Re: Questions? Comments? Complaints? Talk To The Moderators Here by UjSizzle(f): 12:15pm On Sep 11, 2013
Enigma: It's pretty simple isn't it? It is so obvious it is even blinding.

Especially for Mods and Obinoscopy (suggested summary):

1. Non-Christians can post on the Christian Chat thread; just be respectful and avoid being offensive.
2. Christians can post on the Non-Christian Chat thread; just be respectful and avoid being offensive.
3. Anyone who thinks a post on either thread is "offensive" could complain on the thread or use the 'Report' button
4. The final decision on what is offensive on either thread belongs to the Mods --- even though they are all professed Christians; the censure of others watching will eventually ensure that they will be objective
5. The final decision on what to do about an "offensive" post on either thread lies with the moderators; whether caution/warn, hide post, ban, ban forever and also in the hereafter and in life everlasting etc etc

smiley
That wraps it up neatly smiley

striktlymi: That's where the problem is...

What connection does Christianity have with Atheism, paganism, satanism etc?? Nothing!!!

If a Satanist decides to praise his master without insulting any Christian or the person of Christ, I am sure you would see this as offensive, whereas all he/she did was praise a loved one.

They say those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. If we can be offended, we shouldn't go about offending others.
But how is satan a loved one on a Christian chat thread Strikyhuh Be honest to yourself, whoever does that is simply looking for trouble! That's against Rule 2

Christianity Etc › Re: Questions? Comments? Complaints? Talk To The Moderators Here by UjSizzle(f): 12:00pm On Sep 11, 2013
striktlymi: I agree completely with the above but as it stands now, the reverse is the case. Christians believe they have every right to post in a non-Christian chat thread while non-Christians are 'gagged' when they go to post in the 'Christian' chat thread.
No one has ever stopped a non-Christian from posting in a Christian chat thread Striky..they've only asked that no one should post anything anti-Christian in it. period.

striktlymi: But you posted a love song in their thread...why can't he post a love song to his love, even though the object of his love is satan?
What business has a love song to satan got to do on a 'christian' chat thread? I'm surprised this is coming from you undecided
Did you even read the first page of that thread? It breaks every rule it stands for dude!

howfarwhatagwan: You do not have to cook it for so long to ensure it is not bitter there are some ingredients that can be added to mask the bitter taste and for me that is how I was taught to cook stew
I think it gets bitter when you let it burn and then try to scrape out the burnt stuff while stirring it.

tjskii: Pls if therz a better way to cook stew,do share, was so frustrated lastwk,I was superhungry and decided to cook stew,d stupid water took so much time in draining from d pepper,by den I was seeing double from hunger undecided
I Blend the tomatoes with lil water, and put in the oil once it goes on fire. That way the drying and frying takes place at once...while I feast on bread before I die of hunger grin
