Family › Re: Cinderella Might Not Be Suitable For Kids Bed Time Stories by UjSizzle(f): 2:26pm On Sep 09, 2013
I don't know about the rest of the world, but maybe your daughter needs to understand her bedtime stories better. Every fairytale I've watched as a child always taught something vital, the most important being that good always prevails.

Cinderella was obedient even when her step mom n sisters maltreated her. Her fairy godmother looked out for her, and she landed her prince charming in the end. I remember the theme song for Disney's cartoon version....something about knowing in your mind n believing in your heart, and your dreams will come true.

Rapunzel separated from her family and the witch used her for selfish purposes(if u follow Tangled version)---selfishness and evil will always lose in the enbd.

Snow white, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast ALL teach similar lessons: good prevails over evil, true love knows no bound blah blah blah.

I probably didn't even think this as a child, but maybe you need to help you lil girl dissect the stories better undecided

Guy unless you have unlimited data, you will want to use a WiFi. Make sure your phone's fully charged too and you have enough memory space..it could take a while before it's completed.

Nairaland General › Re: Why Do Ghosts Wear White Cloth? by UjSizzle(f): 12:32pm On Sep 09, 2013
Cos they come in the dark, and white seems the only logical color they should wear undecided

Cos ghost stories likely came from vampire stories, and since blacks can't fake the extremely pale vamp skin color, they chose the near best thing--white.

Cos the bible(I think) spoke about changing the cloth of Moses(abi Abraham) to white. It follows then that dead people who wanna go to heaven will wear white--purity. But unfortunately naija don dash an both good and bad spirits.

Cos they are buried in white clothing; women wear their wedding gown , and men a white suit. Logically it follows that a ghost should walk around in it's burial attire--white.

Oh there's one more..can't get enough of Jack Sparrow. This one had me holding my ribs grin

Jack Sparrow: No! Not good! Stop! Not good! What are you doing? You've burned all the food, the shade, the RUM!

Elizabeth Swann: Yes, the rum is gone.

Jack Sparrow: Why is the rum gone?

Elizabeth Swann: One, because it is a vile drink that turns even the most respectable men into complete scoundrels. Two, that signal is over a thousand feet high. The entire royal navy is out looking for me; do you really think that there is EVEN the slightest chance that they won't see it?

Jack Sparrow: But why is the rum gone?!
