Senate President Bukola Saraki has lost his bid for the Code of Conduct Tribunal to quash the corruption charges filed against him by the Federal government. The Chairman of the Tribunal, Justice Danlami Umar, today struck out an application by Saraki's counsel, Kanu Agabi, challenging the jurisdiction of the tribunal to continue with his trial.


Justice Umar in his ruling, said that the case is within the jurisdiction of the tribunal to hear and therefore declared that the tribunal was ready to go on with the trial. He ruled that the case will be heard on its merit starting from April 5th.

What does the writer mean by the government not admitting there failure?, it hurt me to see an enlightened scholar with a good text composure without a commonsensical foresight, the government have blocked all the source of illegal income of the NNPC and now they (NNPC) are frustrating the effort of the Government in other to turn the back of the citizens against the Government I so wish your blind eyes (#irony) could be open and see why really the power holding company are with holding the light for so long if not for political and dubious reasons.. Lol...no,not that they set him free! The DSS only withdrew the case from a lower court..and Kanu will soon be arraigned in a Fed High Court on addedf charges!

Another huge joke from the thug, wikes camp.
No court order can stop the senate from doing what she is constitutionally empowered to do. That is their responsibility as recognised by the law of the land. So many precedence exists on this.
It's like u saying u have a court order asking the senate not to pass laws. The worst u can do is after doing what they are empowered to do from our law books, u can go ahead to test it ( law, decisions etc) in the law court.
Senate gonna do what the law asked them to do. Wike has failed again.
Senate, will receive it and junk it. Let wike sue the senate afterwards.
