The Rivers State Government repeatedly claim not to owe any of its employee salaries, but members of the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency (RSSDA) claims to have not received their salaries since July, 2015; making it One-year of owed salaries. Who is lying....? Can we demand RSSDA's Executive Director/CEO, Mr Larry Pepple to speak-up as well as other well-meaning Nigerians to plead with Gov. Wike to pay RSSDA staff salaries owed since last July! https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=%23larrypepplespeakup cc: Seun, lalasticala, Ishilove: please help RSSDA staff make this news viral to drum up support: SERAP had already sued the Governor amongst the 11 governor on this! |
This is normal especially with the current financial situation in the Country. I have progressed in job interviews and have been invited to the last stage interviews with Shell and GE, only to be written that the recruitment has been placed on hold. Obviously, this is due to re-alignment of recruitment needs and financial implication for hiring a new hire, when they can internal resource for that position. Where I work currently, a colleague resigned in their role, and the role was merged with another one and the person's job enlarged. What the organisation did was increased the chap's salary abit, this means the organisation will not incur cost of hire a new person which would include buying and maintaining a car, phone lines, internet, office space, healthcare, bonuses etc. Thats how it works. Dont feel bad, please continue in your job hunt, or better still try out your hands as an entrepreneur. rgds |
ok....we can talk some more...but i have done Shell for 3yrs and moved on. If i know the kind of contract you have, i can advise better, but Shell is a good brand as well as experience-builder especially if you are oil&gas career minded, although oil demand is declining, but gas is the future! rgds, |
chaberry:thanks...the pictures told the story, take a look again, you will the peace airways head rest cloth for the nigerian players as well as the rowdiness in the plane while the ifeanyi ubah and the brazilians flew is quite different. |

i know her, we went to Language school on the Island, some 16 years ago......she was a runs-girl then, i guess she still is. Wasted life! |
BeClever:well, i share your sentiments.....I only asked a question. The truth is that the ranking is for 2015 and the present administration was in charge for most of 2015. |
According to Global Development Network (GDN) and Transparency International-World's Corruption Nations ranking Experts, the World's Eleven (11) Most Corrupt Nations Index did not contain our dear Country Nigeria. Transparency International’s corruption perceptions index 2015 – which ranked 168 countries on a scale of 0 (highly corrupt) to 100 (very clean) – is once again topped by Denmark, which scored 91. Close behind are Finland (90), Sweden (89), New Zealand (88) and the Netherlands (87). Nigeria is ranked 32; could this be a dividend from the present administration...? http://www.transparency.org/cpi2015 cc; Seun Mynd44 lalasticlala

GlorifiedTunde:Sure, invited peeps will travel to the nearest location which is usually where they have the largest pool of candidates. My source is very...very .....reliable! |
blueheffner:I wasnt in the mgt trainee programme, I was a senior-management staff (in-charge of a function) and i have moved on. the salary you get after the programme is usually based on your power of negotiation which comes from your quality of education (overseas or local), previous experience and your finesse. Moreso, no two persons earn the same, people in my grade were earning six digits but in different magnitudes! With your experience and quality of education as well as effizzy, you can get far more than what your colleagues will earn after the programme. Goodluck....no harm in trying, |
mediciMAGNIFICO:As a MGT Trainee, you will probably be paid N150K or so.....the chances of you getting a permanent job thereafter is 50:50 becos its a mgt training programme and you could be booted out at the end or before the end of the programme. The programme, while i was there, was a six months programme, maybe their might have changed the tenure....you have several assignments which involves loads of travelling, training and making presentations just like the the Apprentice. You can make some small 'change' from the travels vis allowances, but the salary is based on how much you can negotiate. I wont advice you leave what you are doing except its a one-man show! |
interview is ongoing at the moment in Paris, London and Dakar and will be concluded in the next few days..... |
MacMaster01:not sure about that......it just has effizzy. once worked there, salary is not that ''pays well' and their staff turn-over is quite high, if you see what i mean! |
