*sighs* maybe I need to recap on what brought about the arguement - The first moniker was comparing The Salvatores and Marcel with the criteria WHAT THEY WERE ABLE TO DO AGAINST THE ORIGINALS by this Marcel is the clear winner, first time he was the one who Made and executed the plan that sent the Originals running of out New orleans and did it the second time.

For your third paragraph the original plan of the streaks led by Aya was to un link themselves from the Michaelsons so as not to partake in their doom, Yes Marcel had nothing to do with serum but he knew exactly how to engage the Originals head on, he even made sure he neutralised their witch sister UNLIKE Lucien who wasted time raging outside waiting for the Michaelsons to engage him.

Like you said he is a good strategist and master planner, the only flaw in his overthrow of the Originals was leaving hayley unchecked but then Marcel has always been a kind of Moralist Vampire anyway. I think we should just sit back and enjoy the series.

Even though we are comparing just the Salvatore brothers and Marcel not their team still I would address this- Elijah in his case underestimated them, kol was wreckless, finn was never in contention any way he was the weakest link and unwary of any dangers, for the klaus he already had a back up plan even before the whole dessication process. All in all they never outsmarted the Originals for long the family was always a step or two forward.

The last part got me laughing the Sire link affected Marcel too when Klaus came back from the exile imposed on him he was already planning with Davina on how to stop him he would have gone ahead to kill klaus if Rebecca didn't wan him about the Sire link.

To buttress my point look at the take over in Mystic falls and that of New Orleans. For the former threats and a little show of power did it, for the latter it require planning and covert deception.

Well true since the salvatores and co were able to do more with their little team than marcel and his vamps.

You made it sound as if it was only the Salvatore brothers that did all dat alone, they had help from many people including bunny benert, a witch from a very powerful line of witches. Yes marcel had Davina and Vincent, but those two are not even upto bunny's left hand when it comes to magic. The Bennet line has always been giving the original family problems for over a thousand years.

Lol Really Marcel's rise to power was due to the strix and lucien, he only picked up the slack, he didnt create any great/grand plan to defeat the originals.

you joking right HXH? what of cowboy bebop,employ the use of strategies/wits in their combat battles the rest is just fight? no anime come close to Fate Zero in that.just look at sable vs lance fight alone,that trumps any battle in naruto or HXH. Sword of the Stranger,no name vs luo-lang is the best sword fight in anime using all that without any single dialogue. and dont get me started on how the fights in Hajime no Ippo are!!!!.

It seems you misunderstood me im not talking abt fun/great combat battles purely, a lot of animes have that (i for one loved bleach's exhilarating battles). I meant the use of pure wits, strategies in their battles and not just brute abilities alone.

Well i didn't see two episode premier what i know is the grodd saga are two episodes it ends next week, plus what people need to know is if you have a series above 20 its gonna be streched till may most of them like that would go on breaks but they do it different it also gives them ample time to finish acting. If this is bad what would you say of the premium channel shows that either give you 10 or 13 and comes back in one year time.
