In 2017 I was denied a student visa to Canada and in 2023 when I applied for PR, I used work experience claimed from 2017 that I never stated in my original student visa application. I never received a single ADR throughout my application process till I got PPR. I don't want to give false hope or anything, I may have been lucky. Just thought to share.

Guys im in a serious pickle and scared at the moment.

So when i was 20 i applied for study permit. At the time i was doing nysc and working in tech (entry level) but in my SOP. I inly said that i was doing NYSC. I didnt mention that i worked as i didnt want them to know i was doing nysc and working because i was supposed to be working in my PPA but was running it as i needed tech experience.

In my work permit i also didnt declare this work experience as i had work lined up in canada so i just used that and didnt bother using anything else as i thought it didnt matter.

Now in my pr application i declared the experience i did in nigeria. I added reference letter, offer letter and a picture of me and my colleagues at work. Im now seeing that people are getting misrepresentation ban for what i did and i dont know what to do.

Im in canada and all my experience shows progress and i have the documents for them. I make a good living here now and have a son on the way. How could i make such a silly mistake that can ruin my life. Has anyone else gone through this successfully? Should I submit an LOE or just wait from word from IRCC?

Funny thing is I received my study permit at the work place. I have proof from VFS canada that my passport was sent to the work address im claiming for work experience. this all is just making me super paranoid.

I'm assuming you're in the UK. UK banks don't usually give letters, i just uploaded my official bank statements and it was not even a high street bank like Barclays, na wise I dey use and i still got PR.

Finally just got PPR on Friday, it's been almost 2 years since I first entered the pool. I have been on this thread for a while, never post but have been learning from you all. Hence, I feel the need to post my timeline, maybe some one may learn from it.

This is my timeline below, I can't remember exact days mostly because of the time it has taken to get here and I'm honestly too lazy to check.

I created my first EE profile September 17th 2022, soon after started studying french and looking for a tutor.

I was 30 with an MSc so my CRS score was 476, after turning 31in 2023 it dropped down to 470. As hard as I tried I couldn't learn French properly but still wrote TCF like that and my score only got boosted by 6 or 8 points (can't remember again), but I didn't realise how important those points will be.

I created NOI for Saskatchewan province sometime in February 2023 and in May I got invitation to apply for SINP and applied in July 2023.

I waited ooohhh for Saskatchewan dem no answer, even had to create a new EE profile as the first one expired. Then around mid December 2023 Ontario did tech draw and picked me from the pool. Those small points I got from TCF were my saving grace, I think the OINP tech stream cut off was about 473 and without the small points TCF gave me I would have been 470 and missed out. Please, don't sleep on French, I'm horrible with languages, can't even speak my own language and yet managed to get small points from TCF.

Applied for Ontario in January and got nominated first week in March. Between the time I had applied to Saskatchewan in July 2023 and when I got nominated by Ontario in March 2024 my profile in SINP was still on "Application Received" status. Very annoying province, as Ontario nomination came through I emailed them to withdraw my application but dem no refund me.

Received ITA mid-March (about a week after Ontario nomination)
AOR - May 11th
Medicals passed - June 26th
Biometrics completed - July 5th
PPR - September 6th

It can be slow and painful, but God will do it for everyone who has put in the work and put their faith in Him.

You misunderstand me, I didn't use any agents. I did my process myself, I was just wondering why I couldn't register on the tracker to see a more detailed breakdown of my status rather than just the updates on the ircc website.

Hi, I had my AOR May 11th and Biometrics July 25th and no update since then. When I try to use the tracker to check my status I get an error message and their help page implies that my application hasn't begun processing, but i know it's impossible at this stage. I've used my UCI and Application number on my BIL yet I can't access tracker. Do you have any suggestions or a solution to this? Thanks.

If you know your UCI & Application Numbers, you can open a status tracker on the CIC website.

At least, you will have some insight into what's happening in your application.

How much is application fee for pr

The processing fee is 950 CAD and the right of permanent residence fee is 575CAD. You can pay for both at the same time when submitting your application, total 1525 CAD or you can pay for only processing till the application is successful then you pay the right of permanent residence fee. This is for single people or if you're applying with a spouse, there's an additional 260CAD per child

I wanted to know if she will still pay another application fee when she gets ITA for EE.

Hi all, I just got ITA but I've been keeping my money in an online only bank. Is it okay if my POF is a bank statement that shows my account balance over 6 months is more than what is required rather than a letter?

I recently just got Ontario nomination certificate, but I have also applied for Saskatchewan since last July. Do I have to withdraw the Saskatchewan application? And if so, are there any complications this will bring to my PR application when I get ITA in the next draw? Also the withdrawal process is not clear, is there anyone who has withdrawn their SINP application that can help please. Thank you

I want to write something here because I see so many people are very hopeful, and i know from experience how damaging false hope can be. I found out last week that this recruitment is over. They were meant to call successful candidates, but were afraid the list would "leak", so they decided to end this recruitment and would instead advertise maybe later this year or next year for 300 new staff. I'm almost certain of this information because of who the source is, and to be honest I was very relieved to hear it. At least now i know it's over and i have fully removed dpr from my mind to focus on other things. You can become rich but never wealthy working under someone.

Oh so its truly in batches, then those of us up north have to exercise more patience

We're in exactly the same situation. DPR raised my hopes too, now I'm scared of going for another federal recruitment

Hello Marvel64, in my case I don't know anybody at dpr but after the interview I managed to meet my Honorable Member and he wrote a letter of recommendation for me and further linked me with a contact at dpr HQ to submit it on my behalf. I want to know if this increases, reduces or has no bearing on my chances whatsoever. Considering he is not on any petroleum committee or even APC. Thanks
