oyewunmi090: Please study page 1 and all the associated links....very important. Brief responses below: 2. In the work experience field, do i need to include the companies i founded myself? Also do i need to include companies i interned in the past or i should just limit to my current place of work and maybe one earlier read post 3 of page 1 for work experience that counts, internship will not if it wasn't paid. Also read FAQ 14 to 17. You need max 3 years work experience, if you have several NOCs to choose from, go with one on the CBD list as your primary if possible. After you get ITA include the companies you founded or interned at in Personal History e.g. Director at XYZ 3. The provincial jobs, how best do i get one? It's confusing. read FAQ 8 of page 1 for how PNPs work I'm single, no relative in canada. CRS score is 473. what are my chances? read post 2 of page 1 for options for increasing your CRS - you do have a chance: you may get a PNP nomination, get ITA from the CBD if your NOC is listed or learn French 1 Like |

Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by GraciousWords: 5:35pm On Mar 20 |
Summerbutterfly: See page 1, post 3 addresses this: Work experience does NOT need to match education/degree for FSW. FSW work experience is not about what you studied as a degree, but what you do/did in your job e.g. an engineering graduate working as a barber must choose the NOC for barbers not engineers. In order to be assigned points under FSW, you must have performed the actions described in the lead statement, a substantial number of the main duties, including all essential duties of your chosen NOC and be paid. You do NOT need to meet the employment requirements listed on the NOC you choose e.g. your NOC “employment requirements” section may say a PhD is required for your NOC, however to qualify for FSW, you do not need to have a PhD. This may be different for PNPs e.g. SINP. |

ACSgrains1: Page 1 FAQ 7, second part https://ircc.canada.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1127&top=29 If you’re listing any other primary occupation It’s the date when you finished the minimum level of education needed for the occupation according to the National Occupational Classification (NOC) code. If the NOC only states high school, it’s the date you graduated from high school. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Good day all, I did receive an email from IRCC and they have requested I furnish additional supporting documents as proof of meeting employment requirements for the position I stated. I did submit my offer letter, bank statement, a letter from HR during the initial application. Can anyone advise me on how to go about this, or what documents do should I provide again. Thank you |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by aurorae1: 9:03pm On Mar 20 |
LadyIE: You didn't submit a reference letter? You can also provide payslips. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by LadyIE: 9:06pm On Mar 20 |
I submitted a reference letter and provided payslips. I do have a BSc in Geology and work in the bank. I do not know if the VO officer is wondering what I may be doing at the bank. I do not have any financial certifications. I only learned on the job Can my reference letter indicate how I grew to my current position by participating in in-house trainings? aurorae1: |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by aurorae1: 9:14pm On Mar 20 |
LadyIE: Hmmm, and you said bank statements highlighting salary paid?. You can do that in addition to all IRCC requirements. Add photos of you at work if need be, promotion letters if any. Anything to convince the VO. Our elders in the house will weigh in... |

LadyIE: *What exactly did they ask for in your ADR? Maybe share a screenshot with your personal info removed. *Does your ref letter contain all that IRCC requests? *Does your Job description in your ref letter match your NOC? Is it an NOC starting with 0 meaning oga oga or C-suite executive? *Does your company have online presence? Are you listed at all on the web pages or social media handles? *In addition to pay slips and banks statements with monthly salary highlighted, maybe also include promotion/commendation letters, linkedin details, annual goals, annual manager evaluations and appraisals, call card, employment ID, vacation requests and approvals, evidence of tax payment, emails showing an aspect of your function being performed or other examples showing the completion of 2 or 3 tasks on your JD. Maybe add evidence of trainings you attended. Tie everything together in a carefully worded LOE emphasize all the aspects of the IRCC ref letter that are already present in your initial ref letter. Pls refer to the IRCC webpage indicating that we do not need to have the educational requirements for our NOC, if you believe that this is a concern (geology to banking) when you draft the LOE as you resubmit. All the best! 6 Likes 1 Share |

Hello GraciousWords, how's it going? I have been working for the same company for over 8 years, is a recent 6 months bank statement showing my salary payments enough as proof of paid employment? GraciousWords: |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by LadyIE: 12:12am On Mar 21 |
Please find attached a screenshot of the request Also, can you explain what you mean by ref letter containing all IRCC requests? My ref letter was tailored to the NOC. I don’t know if that was enough. Thanks for your input GraciousWords:

79733139: Details in screenshot (from the application checklist on page 1 post 5) is what IRCC expects to see as proof of work experience. Sample is on page 1 FAQ 48. Applicants are free to add extra docs if they think it helps....some people include payslips and bank statements showing salary payments. 1 Like 1 Share

Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by GraciousWords: 2:24am On Mar 21 |
LadyIE: Bold - details in screenshot (from the application checklist on page 1 post 5) is what IRCC "requests"/expects to see, as proof of work experience. Does your ref letter from your employer conform to this? Does it include the other things (apart for job description) in the screenshot like hours worked, annual salary, employment dates etc? Page 1 FAQ 48 has a sample work ref letter. Just guessing like aurorae1 that this may be the issue, we could be wrong. It seems like once the ref letter is perfect, people rarely get ADR for employment, although a few do. You may want to request another ref letter from your employer if the previous one is deficient, maybe add any of the other docs listed in my post that are readily available. Please don't miss the 7 day deadline, try to submit at least a day or 2 before......... that their website used to have brain touching problem sometimes. Upload on the GCkey portal and send by webform as well (just in case). 2 Likes

Harmony63: Hello, My question is unrelated to your post but the ‘age factor’ bit caught my attention and I’ve seen it multiple times. At what age do your chances become slimmer? Or if you could just shed more light on age as a criteria to success in pursuing Canada PR. Thank you. |

SENIORS in the house.......... Guys please want to switch to the NOC code 31101 medical laboratory assistant. My NOC code is biologist and related scientist(21110). I worked my first year in the lab as a medical laboratory scientist and the next 4 years as a biologist in the same organization. My employment letter carries the name biologist and my masters program is in biotechnology( NOT MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCE) my supervisor is willing to give me a reference letter for the time period i worked as a medical lab scientist , but my employment letter still says biologist. My Questions are? (1) submitting a reference and employment letter with different job description, is it not a red flag? (2) Must my masters program be in the NOC code ( medical laboratory science)? Please help me, i do not know what to do. |

Good evening everyone, thank you so much for all you do. I got a notice of interest from Ontario today after setting up my profile earlier this morning. I realise that I made a mistake when setting up the form because the site was really buggy. I included my surname as part of my first name and left out one of my middle names. Herein lies my question: would updating the form to reflect the correct name invalidate my NOI from Ontario? |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by MayorOfEdmonton: 9:39pm On Mar 21 |
Hey, Check the NOC code more carefully 31101 is specialist in surgery, are you a surgeon? is that what you did in your 1st year of employment? Check out 33101 and 32120, they are the closest to MLS. If the employment requirement of the NOC code says you need a diploma/degree, usually it’s best to have a diploma/degree in that field though with convincing proof in the reference letter(initial formal training) and a close enough/related course some folks in the past did not have issue. So what field was your Bsc? If your end goal is Healthcare category based ITA, kindly note that the Medical laboratory assistant/technologist experience is expected to have been within the last 3 years to qualify. This should be reflected in your reference letter. Employment letter is not a requirement only employer reference letter is- as proof of work experience, some applicants choose to submit employment letter anyways. You can choose not to submit. Cheers zeb04: |

Hi all, I just got ITA but I've been keeping my money in an online only bank. Is it okay if my POF is a bank statement that shows my account balance over 6 months is more than what is required rather than a letter? |
