SonOfEl: thank you my brother.
a lot of the trolls on this thread are ashamed of readily mentioning their states. they think completing a flyover shows economic arrival. WAAWA BRAIN Lol...let her be losing. The worst part is that she visits the 'pan Igbo economic group' frequently and sees the real pictures of Aba there. But her lieing nature won't allow her say the truth. Don't go calling lai Muhammad's name. Your worse |

He/she posted pix of the flyover during rainy season. Why not show the current state. Like you said bro, we have their time today |

Sammy07: Guy, I'm actually from the West, but you shouldn't be defending Abia. If people ain't pointing it out. Those governors will continue milking it thinking you won't say anything on it We are not saying the governors are saints. What we are pointing out, is that people are painting the wrong picture of Aba. Aba is not as the portray it. Go to the pan Igbo economic group and see first hand pictures of Aba being posted by 'eduj' Modified: the pan Igbo economic group is actually a topic here on nairaland |

Abia cannot be God's state because all your leaders are evil and looters.
See the condition of Abia state. They trade while sitting on waste. Ode! All this has been cleared. Stop lifting photo from premium times. Snap yours let's see. The photo below I snapped it along New umuahia road on Monday. Mind you it was constructed by Ikpeazu the 'kerosene' governor

ngoxievergreen: Lol ...and people still wonder why Abia state is the worst state in Nigeria. See this one denying the despicable condition of Abia state. Unfortunately this is how most Abia people behave. No wonder Orji kalu, TA Orji and Okezie were all able to loot the state dry. I spit on Abia state I don't normally stoop so low. But since you crave to gain my attention, and belittle Abia by all means be my guest. Do you mind telling us the bad roads in Aba? |

a lot of these people posting trash are even too ashamed to readily and openly post their state. they are yet to constructively educate us on what makes their nameless state better than abia.
I'm not against constructive criticism, but I know haters when I see one.
don't mind them jaare, they are empty barrels. Thank you. Criticism is by all means allowed. But spreading rumours by all means is definitely not cool |

ngoxievergreen: #ABIA_AND_THE_POLITICS_OF_ONE_FLYOVER (Are we really God's own state?)
After 5 Years, The Only Flyover Being Constructed in Abia State is still on under construction. Aside FLYOVER brouhaha, there's hardly any motorable road in Abia state.
Uyo City in Akwa Ibom alone has more than five flyovers. Abakiliki of yesterday is having her 2 and 3rd flyover constructed. Port Harcourt, Owerri, Onitsha, Asaba, Awka and Enugu are not left out. Even Ibadan, Kano, Abeokuta, etc. They have their own flyovers well built and in good condition.
But the converse is the case in that of Abia State. The only centre table, pardon, flyover under construction is still a shadow of itself. Grim, shabby and abandoned.
The ground breaking of the construction of Osisioma Flyover in Aba was held by the state governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazụ, 5 years ago. The Flyover which we believe upon completion will ensure seamless vehicular and pedestrian movement around the ever busy Osisioma Ngwa Junction which serves as the entering point into the city of Aba.
However, after 5 years of construction, the flyover being handled by a Chinese construction giant is now a centre table where rats and other communities of rodents gambol about in glee.
The most embarrassing aspect of this is that the Aba flyover is the only flyover in the whole of Abia State. God have mercy!

ThemanS: Hello Nairalanders, I will be traveling to the Southern part of the Country for the first time in my life. I was born and raised in the North Central, Plateau state to be precise.
I will be traveling to Aba to buy some goods for a Client, initially I was planning to move to Port-Harcourt, then from there enter Aba and Onitsha after I'm done with shopping I will move back to Port-Harcourt and take a Bus back home.
Now the issue here is I have never travelled to the South, a lot of people here are telling me that there's no security, even lodging is not safe because EFCC might raid the lodge anytime. And the Streets are also not safe.
Pls Nairalanders in port and Aba should recommend a good and safe area for me. I was told keke and bus drivers don't usually speak English na so so language dem dey speak.
Help a brother pls. Read my reply above this mention |
Travel › Re: Travelling To The South For The First Time by Umueme: 4:29pm On Feb 16, 2020 |
OP.... I base in Aba and I can tell you its relatively safe. Concerning hotels, EFCC raids hotels without class. Try lodging at Hotel De La Paix at brass by Ekenna G.R.A or Binez hotel off aba-owerri road, Addrex hotel at Ogbor-hill and Luxury city hotel also along Aba-Owerri road. Aba is not safe at night along Mosque, park and York. Thanks and try getting pics to show that Aba's demeanor has changed |

Politics › How Stable Is Electricity In Your Area? by Umueme(op): 6:41pm On Jan 10, 2020 |
So I always laugh (at times) when I hear people complain about our electricity in Nigeria.
Were I stayed in Aba, (Ogbor hill to be precise) during the Xmas holidays there was uninterrupted power supply. They had light for at least twenty-two (22) hours a day. They even boasted to have had power for complete twenty-four (24) hours some days in a row.
I was not privileged to witness this 'miracle', but they had very impressive power supply. The maximum interval between a power off was an hour.
So I decided to ask my fellow Nigerians this; How stable is electricity in your area?

Romance › Re: My Wife Is Emasculating Me by Umueme: 2:50pm On Jan 01, 2020 |
strungup79: I'm 42 years old and married with 3 children (2 boys and a girl). I got married to this beatiful lady 13 years ago and everything was bliss until three years ago when my business experienced a serious down turn.
My wife on the other hand witnessed an upturn in fortunes and practically became the bread winner in the home.
Her good financial fortune had me focussed on trying to get myself back on track. I tried getting a job, but it was not forth coming.
My business continued to dwindle and then I resorted to doing small odd jobs just so I could contribute to the family upkeep.
My wife's upturn in fortune however brought out the ugliness in her. She started trying to assume control of the home. She stopped consulting me on decisions concerning our home, rather consulting her parents. She practically turned my kids against me as she painted me as irresponsible.
We initially had assess to each other's account, but now she has accounts hidden from me. I just found out she bought land somewhere, though she doesn't know I have that knowledge.
She has become rude and disrespectful and her parents and siblings have taken over my home. I am so pained because all I ever did was show her love and respect.
She didn't like the fact i tried to have order in my home and that seems to be my sin. I have never hit her or been wicked to her.
Right now, I'm pained and confused. I don't know what to do. Someone please help. Take heart sir. All this is probably happening to show you her real attitude. She might also be receiving d*vk somewhere else. But pls do remember to update us when the table is turned. Happy new year |
