Thanks so much for your feedback, I have already submitted my passport to Abuja and also the school has directed I defer to next session reason because in- class has already progress far( class started sept 7), missing class for a month is not ideal for foreign student.

This is my thought while other gurus comment.
A visitor visa is different from a student visa, you might not get your student permit using your visitor visa, but you can give it a shot as you said.

I advice you reach your school, get them aware that your ppr just got approved, and you might be a week from resuming. Send your passport to Abuja, you should get it back in a week, you can travel immediately, while you did get your permit easily.

Or travel to Canada using your visitor visa, send your passport to the vac office within Canada, that way you get your passport stamped and your permit. The latter will get you in Canada while you can go for classes.

Hello destination, as mentioned I have valid visitor visa, can I travel with this visitor visa and present the passport request letter for them to issue my student permit?

Biometric: I have valid 5years visa and the biometric was still valid.
School has already resumed 7th September 2021, and the last date for student is today 22 September 2021 for deferment.

I am asked to send my passports for a new TRV.

Can I travel quickly this Saturday with my visitor visa and complain to the port officer issuing student permit that I need to meet up with my school hence I am travel without waiting for student visa and LOI.

Another generic email from Nairobi, why is this folks delaying application under guise of too many application.

I thought the TRV is the same except the notation for visitor which is indicated as V-1 on TRV and Student TRV notation is S-1,
Review CIC website, the student permit issuance at the airport is issued against approval letter from the embassy’s,

I will recommend you visit Qlife family clinic or give them a call explaining the urgency for your medical test, I am sure they will make provision for you base on the medical letter issue to you by the visa officer.

Find below IRCC response to the web form submitted with respect to my pending SP application. I am worried this folks are just using Afghanistan issues as excuses for their inefficiency in processing SP.
I am yet to defer my application submitted 19 May 2021 and my school is resuming 9th September 2021.

May 19th applicant, school is resuming September 9th, 2021, I have a valid Canadian visitor and US visa. Not sure why this unnecessarily delay of issuing the Student Permit to me. I pray we all applicant expecting PPR get good news soon Amen.

Your biometric is valid for 10years and when you log into your IRCC account, the validity period is noted in your application profile.

I will suggest judicial review of your application considering the fact you didn’t mentioned accompanying family member. What document did they review to Meade their decision?

Application declined 18th August 2021.
Timeline:
Application submitted April 26th 2021 (PhD with full funding). Also submitted my personal bank statement (not MBS).
NSE request May 7. Ignored it and went with normal route.
Upfront medical passed june 25th.
Eligibility review always read "in progress..."

Reason for refusal: We are not convinced you will be able to pay the tuition fee. Also, you do not have sufficient finance for your accompanying family member to Canada.

P.S: My full funding covered both tuition and monthly expenses. I also submitted my account statement indicating that I can pay for my miscellaneous expenses. I did not include that anyone is accompanying me. Infact in my IMM form, I specifically selected "no" to this question.
Obviously, they did not do a thorough review.
I'm awaiting my notes.

I observed that no May normal route applicant has received PPR. The very few that received approvals had complete NSE requirements or short of one.

I am a May 1st applicant (normal route), and eligibility has not started. Classes will start 25th August. Trusting God to receive PPR soonest.

A USA visitors visa Doe's not qualify you to apply and obtain visa to another country from the USA.

Its beginning to look like applying through the normal route is now an offence.
