A live snake brought an abrupt end to plenary in the Ondo State House of Assembly on Thursday, July 25, 2019.

The snake dropped from the roof of the chamber, leaving lawmakers scampering for safety, according to a report by Channels TV.

Legislative activities were then suspended until the complex is renovated.

The lawmakers instantly scampered to safety as they shouted “auzubillah” “blood of Jesus” on top of their voices, while the snake escaped.

Cynthia.A. Nweze was one of such girls who made a decision to change for the better, she was in church the next Sunday and denounced on the altar.

After denouncing, just like others, she was moved to the free estate set aside for repented sex workers; was taken through thorough rehabilitation and was empowered with money to start up a decent trade.

On the 14th of July 2019, she returned to the altar to thank God for his good works in her life, she said that she was so happy with her newfound Christian life and her business was moving speedily. She was filled with emotion as she recounted her ugly past lifestyle, her parents were pastors but yet she wallowed in sin and sunk deeper daily, everything they did to pull her out proved abortive until the intervention of Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere. She encouraged other girls who held fast to her past lifestyle to repent and give up on such waywardness because such life is far from being gainful.

After listening to her testimony and seeing her high level of genuine repentance, Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere gifted her with the sum of 1 million Naira. She was beside herself with shock at the unexpected gift and thanked the man of God for his benevolence and generosity.

She was grateful for what was done for her and was given more. Gratitude is indeed the bedrock of success.

Akon is currently in Nigeria for the Google For Nigeria event taking place in the country.

The Senegalese-born American singer while at the event, got into a debate with the deputy governor of Lagos, Dr Obafemi Hamzat.

The debate was about who has the best Jollof rice in Africa.

Akon defended his country of origin, saying: "Senegal Invented Jollof Rice."

But Dr Obafemi Hamzat replied: "I’m not talking about who actually Invented, I am saying Nigeria Jollof Is the Best."

The baby here was about to be thrown inside a gully by her own mother (swipe to see the mother) in front of my office at Ile epo bus stop, after Iyana Ipaja, along the expressway, this morning at exactly 10:30, before she was apprehended and taken to Ile epo police station.

An Enugu State High Court, presided over by Justice K.I. Okpe on July 22, 2019 sentenced a pension fraudster, Akpudili Anayo to six years in prison for a N13million fraud.

The Enugu Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC had charged Anayo with forgery, impersonation, conspiracy and stealing.

He had on April 8, 2019 pleaded “guilty” to the six counts preferred against him when he was arraigned, and he was convicted, accordingly.

Anayo’s journey to prison started when the Enugu State government petitioned the EFCC alleging fraudulent transactions traced to him.

The State Executive had on May 3, 2017 directed that the May, June and July 2017 pension/salaries of the state pensioners and three other agencies of the state government be paid by cheques after physical verification.

However, at the end of the verification exercise, it was revealed that the convict who was an Ad-hoc staff for the verification exercise, in charge of the system computing the names of the verified civil servants in the state, conspired and used the bank accounts of three fake pensioners: Ngene Patrick Somtochukwu, Ani Ifeyinwa and Patience Christian Chimezie, domiciled in Fidelity, Stanbic IBTC and First banks respectively to divert funds meant for the pension and salaries of the civil servants in the 17 local government areas of Enugu State.

Last night, immediate past governor of Oyo state, Abiola Ajimobi and his wife, Florence, hosted their daughter, Ajijola, to a pre-graduation dinner which held at The Annabel's in the United Kingdom.

Ajijola who is otherwise known as Ajay, will be graduating from a UK university sometime this week. The dinner was attended by the Ajimobi children as well as Ajijola's rumored boyfriend, Seyi Gbadamosi.

There was confusion at a wedding in Ghana yesterday after a pregnant side-chic purportedly appeared at the bride’s home while the groom was was waiting in Church.

As per the reports, the traditional wedding function had officially held at the family place of the bride sooner toward the beginning of the day and the husband to be with his groom men had continued to the church hanging tight for the bride to come join them, just for the dramatization to unfurl at the home of the bride.

Social media relationship advocate, David Papa Bondze who was at the wedding reports that the said side chick returned with proof to her case.

Insulted by the case, the family of the bride to be without setting aside effort to crosscheck from the husband to be and his family canceled the wedding and turned off their telephones without illuminating anybody. It took the friends of the bride to inform the groom and her family what was going on.

The wedding was supposed to have started at 10:30 am. The bride is still not in. Groom and his men and family and the invited guests are all here. Bride and her parents and siblings are still not here. They’ve tried calling their phones but interestingly, all their phones (Bride’s, her dad, mom, and siblings) are switched off.
