Etinosa12345: Provide me a Yoruba story that says that Edo was named by the Yoruba and I'll do mine also From Kogi, Lagos, Kwara, Oyo, Ondo, Ekiti, Osun, Ogun reach Benin republic all our Yoruba parents refer to Benin as Ado unlike Ubinu which is derogatory. The Yorubas that migrated into Igodomigodo saw unoccupied lands and called it "Ado" which means our new settlement. It's now the Yorubas start calling it Edo unlike our parents. We have Ado yam meaning Edo yam variety We have Ado pepper We have Ado Plantain etc all named after Edo products in d southwest. |

Etinosa12345: Nope... The name Edo According to Benin history came during the time of Oba Ewuare... It was not a name given to the Benin by the Yoruba...
So the Yoruba people can not say the word Edo like the Benin does.. they prefer to say ado until this day
There... I've corrected u Don't make mistake, all these early Benin kings and Yorubas are the same. They are not Igodomigodo. |

Olokun is said to mean goddess of the sea... But does sea mean okun or any of such in Benin
Ewe means goat... Male goat can also be called ewe-okpia Yoruba -Oruko - he-goat Ur obvuko means bad person in Benin You still neva tell me your tribe cause I cannot waste my time chating with an Igbo man that has visited Benin. U mean Ovbukhor is not he-goat in Benin? |

Etinosa12345: The ado communities in ekiti is an earlier settlement of the Benin Esp as ado is what the Yorubas call us Edo is originally Ado. Is from Yoruba words. Igodomigodo people cannot say d word Ado like d Yoruba does, they prefer to say Edo until this day. All yorubas called the Edos "Ado" because is Ado that's meaningful |

Etrusen: all this Yoruba people just sit down to compose rubbish
even if most of the word mean the same thing it only shows how African tribes are close either through trade or meeting for example can we now say Benin is from Igbo because "unu and Onu sounds alike" ? or can we now say Yoruba's are from Hausa or Fulani because some word sounds alike in both tribe ?
if a Yoruba man a particular word is theirs I as an Edo man can also say that particular word is ours after all Ondo,Ekiti,Ogun,Lagos, and Osun were undeniably influence by Benin the only state this likely free from Benin is Oyo.
the only historical meeting between Benin and Oyo was at Otun ( Ekiti state) through Iyase Ekpenede.
Benin was undeniably in existence before even the Ekalederhan/ Oduduwa period which has caused historical spark between both tribe can we now say Benin never had a language before this period? definitely NO.
it is undeniable that all tribes in Nigeria came across each other in history one way or the other that is why we have some similarities but you cannot just decide to say a particular word belong to your tribe because others used same word making them a descendant of your tribe.
language exchange among various Nigeria tribe are among what transpired in ancient time so it is only a clouded tribal bigot that will come online to make baseless rant
my bro Etinosa1234 leave this one make he dey deceive himself. There was no Bini before Oranmiyan came to Benin it was Igodomigodo the Ogiso called their lands. The whole Egor local government was Yoruba earlier settlement reach Uselu. |

Omi and amen doesn't sound alike
Iyi in Benin means established law...
According to the first dictionary by Ajayi Crowther, Ologbo doesn't mean Cat..
Most of the words apart from pepeye don't mean the same thing...
Goat means ewe in Benin... NOT ovuko

Arrewa: The East should forget about presidency for now!
They picked up a fight with the wrong side.
The north has the power and the capacity to decide who rules the country!
Sokoto and Kano state alone equals the whole of the East. Igbo will become president We shall end bokoharrams, bandits and deadly herdsmen in the Northern part |

I made my first CU999 Cucumber attempt but they all wither at the flowering stage, I applied Air-force fungicide but no improvement.
I think CU999 is sophisticated and not for beginners.
Earlier have tried Marketmore, no disease but poor in terms of yield. |

Realashbobby: Dear Nairalander,
How do you cope with your life after your spouse failed you and took the whole matter to the worse level by seeking for divorce?
I woke up everyday of my life in the past nine months thinking about this man. I heard he has moved on in Lagos, while I am still here bothering myself about him. This is the only man I have ever known in my life. He just left without looking back not even to check on his son. What can I do to forget him totally?
I am down emotionally and it's affecting me.
Kindly advise. You're insincere |

We have done our own part so let's just wait and see how 2023 pans out Umiah and Ebonyi cannot win presidential election alone. You people still need to fight PDP to zone 2023 to the east lest the SWest will show you how to defeat the northerners in an election |
