Oduduwa was a crown Benin Prince (during the Ogiso era). His original name was Ekaladeran. He went on exile in Ile-Ife (around the end of the Ogiso dynasty) where he called himself "Izoduwa" (meaning I have chosen the path of prosperity) which the yorubas corrupted to Idoduwa.

In essence, Izoduwa, a crown Benin prince (which the yorubas later changed to Oduduwa), was the one that established the Ile-Ife dynasty where almost all yorubas draw heritage from.

And in the video, the Oba of Benin said he can't force this truth to people outside his shores (as everyone can believe what they want to believe)
