Just look at the scan report. Remove the weeks she is pregnant for. Then, you will know when she got pregnant. Was she in DSS custody as at that time?

How is that relevant to the issue? Where in my post did I say prostitution was a good thing? All I ask is did Jesus ever condemn any woman for not being a virgin? Did he ever say a woman is irredeemable, beyond forgiveness or should never be married because she’s not a virgin? The problem is you people think so simplistically and binary it’s incredible. And you think you are more holy than Jesus himself.

If a woman being a virgin is your sole and most important criteria for choosing a wife then do that sir nobody is stopping you. I’m just saying many other men have other criteria and they are doing just fine in their marriages.

Now is it a bad thing for a woman to be a virgin till marriage? Absolutely not. As a man there is still something special and cute about knowing your wife kept herself all for you, but does a woman being a virgin automatically mean she will be a good wife, partner and mother? Absolutely not as well. In this regard character and compatibility is ALL that matters. Many virgin couples end up getting divorced due to incompatibility and many non-virgin couples go on to have blissful and successful marriages because they focused on the right criteria’s when picking their partners. In todays society it’s a bit unreasonable to expect anybody above the age of 21 to still be a virgin anyway, so why not just focus on the important things instead?

As regards to churches, that’s a different story. Most regions believe sex outside of marriage is a sin so they are just doing what’s expected of them by preaching against it. Although I think Nigerian preachers for whatever reason focus too much on it and sometimes go about it the wrong way. It should never be done in a way that makes a woman feel irredeemable or unmarriageable just because she’s not a virgin. I don’t think God considers fornication to be the most egregious sin of mankind or that he spends all his time thinking about who is sleeping with who as you may be led to believe If you go to some Nigerian churches.

There is no evidence in the Bible of God condemning a woman for losing her virginity but there is plenty evidence of Jesus being kind and friendly to prostitutes. So fornication should absolutely be discouraged by churches but not condemned or dwelled upon the way many do in this country.

It depends on the individual. I know a couple in Kaduna. Wife works with the. Nigeria Shippers Council, husband was managing an event center. We visited the family during the last Christmas holidays when we got to know the husband lost his job since 2020 during the lockdown wahala. Wife had been running the family, paying kids fees and even completed the house they were building. They had even parked into the house before Christmas. This woman even gave the husband monthly cash allowance to hang out with his friends so they won’t notice the impact of the job loss on him. We just opened our mouths in awe when the husband told us this. We were actually there to settle some marital issues between the man’s wife’s sister and her husband who is my friend. You never notice any disregard from the wife towards the husband if you were not told and this man hasn’t earned a dime of his own for about two years.
