Business / Re: How I make my millions and How To Handle Business Start Up/ Business Management by Undabridge(m): 5:00pm On Dec 02, 2013
amtheone: Hello Sylland,

Thanks for this write up. I am into Auto Air Freshener Production(Paper Type) which can be used at home and office as well. I started this business in 2012 and so far I have experienced some level of progress. It lasts long and has a nice fragrance. The demand is increasing.

What I did this year was to re-brand it which makes it more presentable(Packaging). By this re-branding, the perception has changed to a larger extent(positively).

Each packet contains 20pcs for easy marketing and I distribute to Shops, supermarket etc at the cost of N1,000-N1,200. Right now am the only one doing the marketing and distribution. So I seriously need help regarding this.

Now I want to take it outside Lagos state in term of marketing. Please how will you advise me to go about this or can your company assist in marketing directly or indirectly. I can make a pack available to you if necessary.

Thank you.

Sir,Kindly include ur contact details for people interested in this product. We have enuf bizness minded individuals here in Nairaland who might be interested in marketing it for you.
Politics / Re: Thabo Mbeki’s Verdict On Nigerians by Undabridge(m): 12:42pm On Nov 25, 2013
I don't drop comment but I'm force to do dis one.I'm realli sad for Nigerian youth in general becos of deir tribalistic traits. We're very quick to pick on our fellow tribe on issues dat is so glaring dat is a collective fault. If only social media can be utilized for the purpose of change and not all dis fight like little kids. This man has said everytin dat needs to be told concerning dis country,it's left to us to provide a way out of dis mess we're in.

Travel / Re: Sadiku Bus-stop, Lagos "Killer" Pedestrian-Bridge (WITH PHOTOS) by Undabridge(m): 11:49am On Aug 12, 2012
Onegai: I've passed this bridge a lot. It collapsed a few years back, wonder why it's in bad form already. Obviously not repaired well. There should be a LASTMA/KAI official there to direct traffic and stop it for pedestrians and stop usage of the bridge. Nigerians can also use their brains and stop using it, get to Ibalex or the next busstop and use it. A hassle, but better be safe than sorry.

I am a resident in dat area and my house is not far from the expressway.People do not have any other choice but to use the bridge becos of the risk behind crossing the expressway.Sometimes I do cross the expressway at my own risk becos I don't want to be on d bridge the day it will collapse....but there are some pple who do not have the mind to cross the expressway so it is a must they ply the bridge for their own sake.

sorry to say this but seriously, you don't have the spirit of an entrepreneur. You want someone to spoon-feed you? And you seem to be after an easy route(though not obvious, but I can read between the line) you don't like internet business and that's where majority of you are making a big mistake. What is Google, facebook, yahoo, myspace, twitter, Hi5 all doing only? NA Akara them dey sell abi? Forget all those 'how to make money online blah blah blah' that you see on here. Internet business is way beyond all that.

Thank God I have finally graduated so I will have enough time, before going to my NYSC camp, to educate people here. I just hope that the mod does not delete my thread o o o.

And ummm... I need to get a new mtn modem so tiat can effectively carry out this.

Nigerian youth are so backward when it comes to online startup,I don't realli blame dem cos wot most of us do is to go on social site to share picture and other stuffs. Also most of d online bizness advertise here are realli flooded just becos no one wants to come up wit there own unique idea.Young entreprenuer in dotcom startup are btw 20 to 30yrs all over d world now but we have refuse to be stagnat here in Nigeria.
Food / Re: Why Is Corn Being Sold For N50? by Undabridge(m): 11:56am On Jul 25, 2012
Alpha2k: It is disturbing to see maize being sold for about N50 when the cost of producing a standard cob of fresh maize on the farm is N6.

My expectation is that having charged marketers N6 to grow a standard cob of maize, giving an investment period of below 4 months, a 100% profit on investment is ok. Making it available to consumers at N20 or worst N25.

In my own area,I buy my roasted corn for 100naira for 3corns.I don't know how much d boiled one cost but I know it's not gonna be up to 50naira.Where are you staying

OMG.....U dug me out.! I actually forgot I wrote that a while ago.

Truth is; I have been a bit selfish to teach and that was really naïve on my part. I am older and wiser now I have to agree with your observation.
I totally like cross-selling concept 'tho I'v never tried it before. Its definitely a good idea since it will involve d sale of the materials that'll be required for my designs.

I am highly motivated already.
Thank you for your advices!

@Acidtalk: I can't thank you enough for this thread!
God bless you.

I know there are some of this category of people you stated that will are ready to learn from you. Also why not include your contact info here,it can be useful too.

Yes, I have snapshots in hard and soft copies.

I love your idea about the online search, proposals and the legal aspects but that's gotta mean am taking a really huge leap...! (Its scary Sir).

I had even stopped painting for a whole year (2011) and counting cos I changed my career path into Maritime and Safety. However, starting as an entrepreneur in those fields is way too capital intensive n the jobs aren't coming either.

Let's not forget the gender factor which plays a rather annoying role in my line of work (wall designs).

I promise to give it another shot using your more sophisticated approach. I pray dis thread doesn't die anytime soon cos Lord knows I'll need help. I cannot do this alone.

Thank you for your timely response OP.

As Acidtalk had said you're sitting on a goldmine,I tout I shud add my little advice too in the sense that you shud try and look for boyz who are into painting of houses. You will always take them along whenever you have a job and you will teach them the necessary things they need to know in completing this wall designs. So after sometimes some of the boyz will leave while some will stay because they feel it's worth doing for the rest of their life. This makes it easier for you cos your own to supervise while they complete the whole painting and finishing of the walls.I hope this will help too cos you can't do this alone and also with acidtalk advice it will make a difference,Pls don't give up.

First I'm into fashion designing and branding bizness i.e promotional items, events and clubs.About the customer satisfaction and management it's no problem cos our client has neva complained for once wit d little we have done thru d referals. So my problem is how to get contract/jobs professionally thru writing of business proposal or Letter of Introduction to companies, school, event planners and clubs that will state the things we do or d service we can render to them. All I need is a template and you'll be amazed wot I will make out of it.

I'm happy to be attached to this post but I will like to ask you guyz that are in the service bizness to please give me or teach me how to write a simple business proposal to a company. This is really lacking in my bizness and it's really affecting me cos there is a limit to the jobs word of mouth marketing can get one as an entreprenuer.
Fashion / Re: Are T.M.Lewin Shirts Really Made In Aba?? by Undabridge(m): 11:32am On Jul 13, 2012
This are my most requested designs and you need to feel the quality of the material. If I am to sell this shirts abroad I know how it will be sold for in either dollars or pound. So pls patronise made in Nigeria then it really pays a lot.

Business / Re: Entrepreneurs What Has Kept You Going? by Undabridge(m): 11:12am On Jul 13, 2012
I would say d grace of God and the fear of poverty has been the driving force to succeed as an entreprenuer. It's not been an easy journey cos there are times I would almost give up but thank God for my partner that has always bin supportive.I have a clothing line and also into branding too.
Fashion / Re: Are T.M.Lewin Shirts Really Made In Aba?? by Undabridge(m): 6:20pm On Jul 12, 2012
I don't know why people still pratronize this foreign shirt brand when right here in Lagos you will find good tailor/fashion designers that will sew a smart and fitted or corporate shirt for you.As someone have said that shirt materials abound in the market where they source for them.So I guess it's lack of knowledge on how to get dis tailors or designers that is causing you to still buy the foreign brands.
