Maybe they wan make I sub 3 months so they can properly show me original shege.

Meanwhile the shege they are showing me now is that the sub is not fast with tweaked MIFIs I have been using it with. So when on the go, the experience is not the same.
Thank God I didn't get into that 3 months sub trap. I wish my experience was great sha. My major issue is usually in the evenings when I'm supposed to stream football matches or movies

Funny thing is that Airtel has become extremely reliable in my location in the past 3 days or so. grin

I know they will soon do their usual but I'm getting speeds of close to 100mbs on a 50mbs sub and a stable streaming experience. Currently using X25pro but I know it will be the same with my G5F. If I finish what I'm doing early, I will try Nuvio this weekend.

Meanwhile, I have bought ZLT X32U 5G MIFI with 9000mAh for when I will get the MTNN ODU, because I will always convert to external Sim.
Bn experiencing something similar for the past 2-3 days too. But I won't fall for it sha 😂

They'll most likely tell you it's not in existence... If they do, ask for their sales rep. They're the ones in charge of marketing it and are mostly with the devices.

Give us the full load down and picture , battery picture, router picture, ODU picture , their connection, how many hours the battery last on a full charge , network stability and any other thought. I really don't know why past buyers don't just want to give comprehensive review as we have done with the Airtel , really also want to know if the sim can be retrieve and place inside an ordinary router

I don't have any problem with the Airtel ODU like people complain here shaa , I use a normal Airtel 4G router for it and I have only experience downtime maybe just twice since last year that I started using it , which bring me to the conclusion that the network is actually fine , it's the ODU device that has issue , I use it for one week , retrieve the sim and put it in a 4g smartbox cos I need the portability
Wil not be bad to try the mtn too and if the battery connector is the same 12v connector Airtel use , so they can interplay
My device is yet to be activated. I think some users already posted updates on network connectivity.

This unit is e-sim. Yet to confirm if the ODU have physical sim support. That said, the device is the X17U, same as Airtel's so the battery life, performance e.t.c should be about the same for similar speed plan.

The reason some of us want to switch is the lack of consistency from Airtel. It is hardly stable as you can confirm from multiple testimonies online, and this is beyond the ODU. You are very lucky to not have issues with yours, for me it has been very frustrating and nobody should have to suffer this much just to have stable internet.

I'll keep the thread updated once my unit is activated and hopefully do the necessary comparison. At the moment it's fingers crossed 🤞🏾

There’s one unique thing about MTN ODU, the power consumption is same as X25 pro.
I don’t know how they did that.
I’m suspecting the simplicity of the indoor unit interface may contribute to that.
Post your idu lets see.

I don't use ODU, except that you are saying it works for the 5G router X25 sha.

And I did 3 months, which brought the price down to 26k, minus 10% cashback = N24K per month.

Does that one work with my router type for next time's sake?
The ODU is 25k for both device and 1 month sub.

22,500 monthly using Smartcash bonus and when you do 3 months it becomes even cheaper.

Yes it works with X25 pro as some people have mentioned, however it didn't work for me. You will need to purchase device and switch to physical sim if you wish to use it though.

I am back on the 20 Mbps plan after being on a break with Airtel since March. Looks like speed has improved a bit.
Why 20Mbps for 30k when you can get 50Mbps for 25k?

You're likely playing movie links with very little seeders.

Pay attention you a human head emoji on movie links and choose those with very high seed numbers.. something like "🤵🏿 330"

Those with low seed numbers will buffer or not play at all.

Also choose movie sizes based on your network strength, 50mbps will play 5gb movies well but 20mbps will play 2gb movies best
Nice update. Thanks man

I found Torrentio. I had to remove 4k and 1080 from config but videos are just blinking and not playing. Which player are you using?
Default player. With Stremio you need very good connection o. Even Fiber X dey struggle for 1080p on Stremio.

Community add-ons limits your access to contents.

I think the comments earlier by someone who said Stremio has only old movies is true when you use only community preloaded add-ons.

Custom add-ons are the bomb.
For movies I use torrentio. I get free 4k contents for almost all movies but you need very strong network connectivity.

As for the old movie thing I haven't had that experience. Yes not all new movies appear on the home page but if you search you'll surely see.

they have even camrips of movies still in theater. If it's on the internet, streamio has it.

You just need high speed internet and more seeders to enjoy it

I will recommend you buy from trusted sellers here who will give you warranty and also build system using correct batteries like:
Dam5reey
MrReed
Valto

But if you fear them, or they are far away from you, then find any certified Felicity Solar shop to buy a battery with warranty card. Mind you, Felicity batteries are ok but I’d rate them tier 2.

As for the battery size, a ~4Kwh and above battery will be ok especially if your freezer is not a Solar freezer and will also run 24/7.
Do small research on battery capacity tests for that brand you just recommended fes 😁

Almost 2 weeks in, 2TB used so far and the 100Mbps MTN ODU intro plan is yet to be throttled. The intro bundled 100Mbps plan might truly be unlimited and uncapped.
Impressive. Thanks for updates.
What's the code for subsequent subscriptions?

Hopefully the day someone blows up their expensive gadget, una go take responsibility.

There are decisive decisions that ought to only be taken by those experienced enough; not those looking for ways to avoid paying.
Mind you, whatever we tell one person in here openly automatically could and would be used by others.
I believe he is speaking from practical experience which is valid. It's now left for the person to decide.

Some users have also supported this line of thought from their own practical experience so I guess it's worth giving it a try or not depending on their appetite for risk.

In the end it's all for science.

is it still working because after the issue yesterday, the network stopped working
Apparently there was a loophole and people spammed the hell out of it by sending 5GODU to 312 for free data. Guess they had to pause everything.

Pls help a brother, for 3 months now I have been getting 50kb to 500kb as speed in my Airtel ODU 50MBPS plan.
I intend to dump it after expiration of my current sub
Start by trying 3G only mode.

You can read back to also attempt other fixed that have been suggested here.
PhonesRe: Airtel Unlimited Data Thread! Best Data Plan In 2024!! by Unfaized: 12:03pm On Jul 12
So yesterday alot of people Spammed the ODU activation on their normal line and unfortunately most got the free internet access until MTN blocked it.

My guess is this will likely further frustrate efforts to activate new subscribers. But why now wey I dey plan to purchase 🤦🏾‍♂️

Difference of .02v is really nothing BUT when it's like +20v, then it's something. Good a lot of these hybrid inverters sure do know how to protect themselves BUT there still are times they fail to.

There's also t he fact that it could work BUT stop charging whenever the sun comes out well.
Its the current. Short circuit current (Isc)
PhonesRe: Airtel Unlimited Data Thread! Best Data Plan In 2024!! by Unfaized: 9:15pm On Jul 11
Omo from my observations, the value from the speed test app is mostly fake..

Will be giving you consistent 45Mbps and above but it's fake.

Try the web version and other speed tests to get your actual speed.

Don't beat yourself up, you didn't make any mistakes. If it was 2 535watts panels u got we wont be having this discussion.

This thing just arose due to Fouani not having 535 and u chose to buy from them based on reputation. Nothing spoil. Since you said you're combining with grid and so far u r ok, just take ur time, consider what have been suggested and chose what's best for when ready.

I have a small set up that the Isc is close to max by just .02, installer said it was too risky that it won't work, I said Oga go ahead, I don buy panel already. It's been months and it's still kicking fine.

Good luck!

Getting max speed in the evening for the first time in a long time... Streaming comfortably.

Be like Airtel don see as Mtn dey pick up momentum 😂

True but the outcome is not always as planned. Many installers use to connect 4 pieces of 550w and above before they can get 1200-1500w generated power. If it does not reach that amount then it will be around 600w if you use two pieces. This was in sako 2.2kva hybrid with High voltage mppt
I see...

If you have any of the 4G routers that has a cpu you can use it to power the IDU separately.
