You can just order directly from Fouani website. I ordered 6 pieces of 625watts bifacial on Monday morning and it got delivered to my doorstep by 3pm free of charge.

So I called an installer for quotation for one project like that and this man shocked me today. He is recommending 10mm Ac cable for the PV (Is this even possible?)

I've heard bassdow talk about using thick Nepa Aluminum wires in place of dc cable to save cost, so which one this installer dey call 10mm normal AC wire 😂.

Told him straight up I want DC cable coz I no fit shout. Abeg make una educate us if this is feasible and what are the likely risks involved for educational purposes.

Can you share pictures and the price you got the itel power tank?

And the link to purchase it? Trying to switch to ODU and would definitely need this also to be factored into it.

In addition, a pic or step by step process to connect it.
You can get the powertank from CDcare online store. Available at 310k.

Although the ODU comes with a power back up that can last from 4-5hrs depending on the type you got.

Just renewed my sub last night and didn't get the usual 10% smartcash bonus. I guess each user has limited amount of time they can enjoy it.

Them say Airtel get timetable for when person go get network 😂

Meanwhile that website fast dot com is very unreliable for speed tests and will give you unnecessary anxiety.

Happy New Month everyone!

Nothing will spoil if we explain the difference between sachet and hybrid inverter power differences to people.
Experts can be arrogant at times.
There's a big difference between asking for knowledge on something you don't know about and raising alarm with so much confidence.

That guy came with arrogance accusing Valto of false advertising and writing full page on something he has no idea about. Tomorrow someone with no idea of power factor of inverters will also come and educate us on why 4.2kva is false advertising as it's not up to 4.2kw. It's annoying.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Unfaized: 12:58pm On May 29
adrusa:
Your response is very interesting and deliberately misleading. It is not everyone that is an expert on the poor ethics of sachet inverter manufacturers that will recognize that a 3000W inverter actually means 1500W. I'm familiar with inverters and even I don't understand a system that inflates inverter powers using their short-lived peak output. That was why I asked you. And I expected that you will respond with their true nominal powers, not hiding under this "manufacturers' claims".

Even Aliexpress sellers clearly indicate the nominal ratings of their inverters, not just leave it to buyers to guess. This is an example from Aliexpress:

Warm reminder: Dear buyer!

Inverter 2000W, continuous power is 900W, peak power is 2000W.
Inverter 3000W, continuous power is 1300W, peak power is 3000W.
Inverter 4000W, continuous power is 1600W, peak power is 4000W.
Inverter 5000W, continuous power is 2200W, peak power is 5000W.
Inverter 6000W, continuous power is 2500W, peak power is 6000W.
Inverter 8000W, continuous power is 3000W, peak power is 8000W.

When you advertise your inverters next time, please do the same. Include their real nominal outputs so that buyers know exactly what they are getting. It is the honest thing to do. And as you can see, real power is not always "half of their rated powers", it is often less than half.
It's your job to do some research then. Almost all satchet inverter buyers are aware of this fact. If you don't know then you probably shouldn't be buying one.

You can politely ask questions to learn, but accusing someone of false advertising on something that is common knowledge doesn't make you sound as smart as you think.

If by page 2,374 you still dey blow big grammar on this topic then what you need is research & education on the topic, not claims. The pricing alone suppose trigger your curiosity.

Yes I can confirm 3G gives great speeds here too. But only when network is great.

Infact since this morning 4G speeds tanked. Only 3G is giving up to 5Mbps at the moment

With what I experienced this May and the likelihood of MTN ODU being mainstream soon, I wouldn't dare go for anything more than 1 month for Airtel 😁

Meanwhile since this mtn ODU rumour started, my network has significantly improved after 2 weeks+ of suffering.

can you share the model of the stabilizer?
It's Century
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Unfaized: 9:21am On May 20
Fremlin:
Tried doing that, and it still bypass,

I'm using a 5kva stabilizer, dedicated to only the inverter, and it's not stable.

Even go as low as 190 sometimes.
Rewire your 5kva stabilizer to power the whole house. Mine does minus water heater and electric cooker and it does a great job. We go as low as 160 sometimes and I still charge at 25 amps while powering the house.

I usually charge between 40-20 amps depending on voltage.

It's a 3 bedroom apartment and being using that stabilizer since 2020.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Unfaized: 8:55am On May 20
Fremlin:
90v?

And I'm limiting mine to 180v..wow

Anyways that's not really the problem, the issue is that, the voltage been bypassed is unstable and sometimes less than 220v, my freezer works within 220v to 240v, so, once the voltage drops below the 22v, it trips the freezer.

So was wondering if it's possible for the AC input to just charge the battery, while I draw from the battery, with a more stable voltage
Oh ok. You can set it to Battery priority then. Check your manual.

But in that case, if your charging current is only 5 amps that means u are likely to drain your batteries faster rather than get full charge.

Alternatively, you can buy a 5kva stabilizer to power the whole house.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Unfaized: 11:19pm On May 19
Fremlin:
Solar is not enough sometimes, some days, I barely generate much.

Will love to charge with NEPA but the light is unstable, even with stabilizer. although it charges, it trip off my appliances sometimes.

Here is the thing, the voltage from grid is unstable, but with stabilizer, I get to charger my battery via the AC input of my inverter.
However, when I try to power my load thesame time while my battery is charging from grid, my freezer in particular shuts down often.

So, I was wondering, anyway I can make my inverter not to bypass, but just just the battery, while I power from the battery that is charged.
Check your AC charging current and reduce by 5 maybe. You should be able to power your load while charging.

Say your charging current is 25 Amps, change to 20 Amps or better still get an external charger like someone recommended above.

Funny thing is that many of them don't even know about the device
True. The lady didn't seem to have an idea but she said they only had 4G routers.

I'm heading to a bigger office now. Location is PH.

*Someone told me they did training for the ODU devices but deployment isn't full yet.

*Update; Just left the mtn head office for PH. They said mtn don't have ODU. I insisted they do, so after a few inquiries, they admitted they don't have it in that location.

Osyxcel:
Cell issues. Some cells are having issues in your location interchangeably.

The cell your device gives priority to when you select Auto may be different to when you select 4G only.

Auto will likely make your device want to aggregate, selecting the primary cell that allows the best aggregation.

If the primary cell is faulty, you won’t be able to browse irrespective of the how many cells were aggregated.

4G only will connect to a single cell — often the best available one.
Damn it's so crazy. And this only started since May subscription. My experience has been so bad.
PhonesRe: Airtel Unlimited Data Thread! Best Data Plan In 2024!! by Unfaized: 7:45am On May 19
Can you believe I couldn't browse all through yesterday and midnight due to terrible connection, only to switch from auto to 4G only and it's blazing now.

Like how does Airtel do this? Yesterday I had to switch from 4G only to auto due to bad connection 🤦🏾‍♂️

Hey Pals,
As you might know, soon WhatsApp is ending support for older devices, making the app incompatible with Android versions 5.0 and iPhones running iOS 12.5.7 and earlier from September 8, 2026.

Funny enough, I barely use smart phones and only retained one due to need to make calls and messages via whatsApp & teleGram. Those of us freelancers need cost effective means to communicate with foreign clients hence reason I kinda still bothered myself.

Yes I understand most of you would wonder how one could afford to live such kinda life BUT sometimes, you need wean yourSelf of certain things so you don't end up a prisoner like they want you to.

AnyWay sha, Currently using a used android device of over 5-years which still runs on android 5.1 and with this latest development, need to make the Switch soon to avoid distruptions.

Why am I bringing this here; well partly to notify those who sees me as ancient human + in case anyOne got a capable quality used device at Very pocket friendly price. For those with problematic devices, would suggest you don't waste ya time.

My kinda Devices:
The likes of Tecno, Gionee, inFInix, etc; and even Samsung + iPhone are a NO Go Area. I prefer Sony Xperia, Huawei, Motorola, Asus, Honor, LG, and onePlus/umidigi; and the order of preference is just as I listed them.

I prefer portable devices I could hold on my palm comfortably without tiring BUT at the right sweet price, that's just a soft preference.

Of course battery life should be excelent, or atleast good enough since it would be plugged-in 99.5% of the time. On transit, I rarely have a need to move with them.

Really not after fancy features so long performanceWise, it's fluid enough (not having 20GB ram but takes ages to swipe or open menu).
All I need is ability to seamlessly operate whatsApp (mostly make and receive calls) as most times (99% of the time), I am on whatsApp / teleGram web via my PC.

NeatNess doesn't matter much as I prioritize performance over aesthetics. I want no cracked or broken screens or those with ink please.

DisplayType don't matter much. infact LCD is much appreciated than AmoLed or retina Displays.

Operating System must be from Android 8 and above. Also those with Android Go shouldn't bother at all abeg.

Mind you, I'm not after a device that would last just a year or 2. No; I want it to even outlast mua sef hence mostly after those of Qualcomm Snapdragon or similar BUT would outRightly reject those of MediaTek except they're flagShip models.

Also my major target is normal or flagShip models, not budget models.

Also, super slim devices are a NO go area for me as they are not only fragile BUT easy to heatUp. Don't want to suffer from dead motherBoards or screens like most of you normal humans.

Also have no issue with those with no Sim (wifi Only) as even if it's got working simPort, would always be on airplane mode.

I don't do iOS except you would be gifting me as I'm more of an openSource kinda human.

maxBudget is 40,000 naira and that's a very hard max. For very very exceptional devices, could be willing to go up to a max of 50,000 naira.

Location: Lagos / Ogun (not Abeokuta) state.
Mind You, except it's completely FREE, and I pay for wayBill only after testing it at least works, I don't do wayBill.

NB: No one should waste his/her time + mine trying to engage me in negotiations as I would end discussions even before they get started the moment I notice your offer doesn't align with my requirements.

PS: Just that I'm kinda busy else already have plans for a browser only whatsApp alternatives that wouldn't force me to rely on apps BUT ETA is kinda long as I'm tightly occupied with other more serious things that actually pays ma bills. Hopefully before next phaseOut, wouldn't have a need to once again upgrade.
If you write like this, I wonder how you talk sir?

If you be Pastor church no go quick close o 😂
