Crime / Re: Massive Scam! Fayemi's N700m Website For Mines & Steel didn't cost 500k! [PICS] by uniteam: 11:29pm On Nov 11, 2017
We need to be more educated on issues like this. People are just like one way traffic especially on the social media, believing and swallowing everything they are fed with.

I appreciate the mod for the painstaking in making attempt to expose corruption in Nigeria, using his technical skills. However, here are some few observation based on my personal opinion.

1. Galaxy Backbone is a Federal Government Parastatals, so it is government paying government.

2. Website development is not only referring to technical programming or content development, it involves data gathering and information collation which will now be used as contents for the website. These information were non existing but they have to carry out data analysis on a state by state basis and for each of the available mineral resources.

3. Consider the staffing per state, per mineral resources available, per number of days spent in each state, and some of these locations are in the bush and inaccessible areas, cost of feeding, outstation allowance paid to these field officers, accommodation and equipment used, u will discover the figure is nothing.

4. N700 million for 36 states of the federation is about N19.44m per state, so now say 20 field officer per state for two weeks, calculate to give an idea of what it comes to, you will see that there is no need to raise blood pressure.

So whats the fuse about? They don't need to give you all these info, if you need it, FOI Bill allows you to request for such.

Number 3 sometimes may look like E, M, or W depending on the angel where you view from, let stop viewing issues with shallow understanding please.

Besides, Fayemi is smarter and intelligent than all that, you need to know him, trust me, forget political stunts being pulled here and there, you wont see him in such mess.

Please no insults intended, just a few clarity.

Thank you.
Politics / Re: Ikogosi Warm Spring Resort Under Dr Kayide Fayemi by uniteam: 9:33am On Aug 11, 2017
I am sure you dont know anything about Ekiti State apart from online propagandas of Fayose you see daily.

Ikogosi used to have a total staff strength of about 154 with salaries ranging from 32,000 monthly for cleaners and gardeners to over 300,000 monthly for senior staff member, all Nigerians and locally recruited with a touch of some staff members of Imo, Edo, Osun, Ogun, Lagos, Kogi and Nasarrawa states origins. Other welfare benefits were still separate.

Ikogosi was self sustained and running smoothly with normal tax remittances to FIRS and EKIRS, a lot of improvement on the economic and social activities of Ikogosi Ekiti. Ikogosi Resort was generating his own revenue, paying staff members and improving the facilities on behalf of the state government.

As at today, Ikogosi has only 20 staff members with the highest paid staff receiving a paltry 25,000 monthly.

What value has fayose added to Ekiti State than enriching himself?

During festive period, Ikogosi used to received nothing less than 10,000 tourists with a lot of picnic activities, the place is almost a ghost town now.

Economic activities have paralysed in Ekiti as we speak. Over six months salary are currently being owed by Fayose. Fayose is the Deputy, Speaker and all in the state. It is very unfortunate.

These are some of Ikogosi Resort pictures for your view.

BiafraBushBoy:
trash

When propaganda pops up, be sure to know it is one.

Fayemi just like the asshole named Ajimobi in Ibadan are just two sides of the same coin.

in their first tenure, they acted like saints and was trying to impress. They continued owing salaries and claimed that infrastructure was of more priority.

Oyo guys were fools to reelect the asshole named Ajimobi, but Ekiti people were wise to see behind the deception of Fayemi.

was is the end result?

In Ibadan, people are dying of starvation, salaries are being owed , no money to even enjoy the fine roads, hunger everywhere.

in Ekiti after they booted out the Fayemi asshole, No wonderful infrastructure, but people are not hungry and starving.

Op, which state would you prefer as a state civil servant?

In Nigeria you can't have a perfect state ThT flows with milk and honey!!

Sacrifices must be made!!!

Celebrities / Re: Moji Olaiya's Burial: Ekiti State Government Releases Statement by uniteam: 11:30am On May 23, 2017
Thats where you made a mistake. Foluke Daramola, Odunlade Adekola, Prof. Peter Fatomilola, Peju Ogunmola, Jimoh Aliu, Funmi Ajila, Late Moji Olaiya and other celebrities from Ekiti State were made Cultural Ambassadors of the State in 2014 and they have since been contributing to the cultural development of the state. $15,000 is nothing compared to tax payers fund spent on Oloshos every night at the government house. Sentiments apart, How can someone be your cultural ambassador and you will say you have nothing to do with the burial, yet you are giving millions of naira to beer sellers association? I really dont like making comments here but for clarity, it is expected of the state to do something.

Family / Re: Early marriage advantages {for Women And Men} Must Read by uniteam: 9:28am On Dec 02, 2016
Hmmmm, I love this question and i am going to answer it relatively, meaning i am applying it to my own situation.

1. The lady that got married at 40 will definitely not find it as smooth as we did medically when it comes to reproduction becos at that age, she is close to menopause.

2. Domestic affairs, child bearing and upbringing may not be as easy and fun as we had it because of the age.

3. I paid N32,500 for this same son to resume kindergarten in Lagos then, same school collects N572,000 for same kindergarten entry as at the last time i checked in July 2016. Thats almost 1800% increase.

4. I have him drive me around sometimes which the lady at 40 may not enjoy until sometimes 58, all things being equal.

5. Now i can use my old age to enjoy myself and my wife for as long as God gives us life, not to be looking for school fees or following up on child education or upbringing even at 58. I have my wife back as my chick now.

6. I enjoy the gap between me and them cos we are able to create family fun and go for several games together here and abroad and we challenge ourselves to it, we attend same dance class, I play musical instrument and i was able to make all of them pick interest as well and i feel happy watching them handle musical instruments during music production.

People looked at me as stupid me when i decided to marry then, but i was able to focus early and build a standard.

Bros, the list is in-exhaustive on personal ground though, but that's not to say there are no advantages for the person getting married late but for me i prefer & can speak for early marriage.

Uniben4sure:

BTW, bros let's assume all what you wrote are true, how exactly are you better than that lady who got married at 40, after she was already a Senior government official and has so much money in the bank account, and now is HAPPILY married with 2 kids? How please?

You wont understand the advantages mentioned until you feel it. I am 40, my first son is in the University, wifey is ever young, like 25 years and best friend cos we started early together, even without much money, we trend together with the children, able to run things together and not stone age to computer age, still handled vector and quadratic yesterday, we easily understand each other, with ever fresh ideas, they drill my brain, i drill theirs, she struggle her wears and accessories with the girls, they learn from us (Myself and Wifey), We bring resources together to build a home and invest in their future, Its always fun and we are still much active, abeg, you just wont understand early marriage is the best. Of what joy is it at 55 years still struggling for school fees? Guess i need to count my blessings again. May God protect and spare us all.

Politics / Re: Fayose Closes Ecobanks And GTBanks In Ado-Ekiti by uniteam: 5:07pm On May 25, 2016
Facts have emerged over why Governor Ayodele Fayose is up in arms against Ecobank in Ekiti State.

Fighting from two flanks, Fayose launched his battle first against the bank over its refusal to meet Fayose’s outrageous demand of N1billion in bribe as his share from the N5b loan granted former Governor Kayode Fayemi’s administration, but instead the bank insisted to offer support for the state government infrastructure development by way of corporate social responsibility, which Fayose declined.

The Monitors authoritatively gathered that Fayose’s anger against Ecobank dated back to 2014 when he emerged as Governor-elect. When Fayose discovered that Ecobank loaned the Fayemi administration N5 billion in early 2014 for the completion of some legacy projects, such as the New Government House, the Oba Adejugbe General Hospital and the Pavilion, among others, Fayose was furious because he concluded, though wrongly, that Ecobank gave Fayemi’s government the loan to prosecute that year’s June gubernatorial election.

When Fayose was sworn in on October 2014, he bared his fangs on Ecobank by ordering the withdrawal of a huge government fund to the tune of N800 million at a go!

The management of the bank sought audience with the Governor and pleaded with him not to run them out of business in the state.
Fayose listened to them and gave them a condition that the bank must be ready to part with huge sums of money, which Fayose said was for the development of the state but which in actual fact was a bribe that would end up in his pocket. The bank offered to part with some funds running into hundreds of millions of naira for the development of the state in line with their corporate governance policy but Fayose rejected this offer and insisted the bank must part with N1 billion before he would allow them a breathing space in the state. The bank felt scandalised by this ridiculous demand by the governor.

Fayose’s another angst against the bank emerged when the governor levied all banks in the business district along the state secretariat on Bank Road in the state capital to pay development levy of N5milion each to repair Secretariat Road.

Ecobank and many other banks in the state refused to part with the money but Fayose singled out Ecobank and GTB for punishment by removing the culverts at the entrances to their premises so that no customer can drive into the banks.
The funds that Fayose forced the banks to cough out had been spent by him to do a shoddy job on the Bank Road, which he commissioned in its rough state recently with eight visiting governors in attendance.

Not done, Fayose brought his hammer on Ecobank by issuing a directive for all MDAs, civil servants and pensioners to close down their salary accounts with the bank while all government officials are forbidden from transacting business with the bank. We reliably gathered that Ecobank has weighed its options and chosen to let Fayose be for the next two years.

The implication of this is that the bank may be forced to close down all its branches in Ekiti State and lay off its over 100 staff who are Ekiti indigenes. The governor by his action is ready to throw over 100 Ekiti families into the labour market just because the bank refused to satisfy his insatiable appetite for primitive accumulation of wealth. ‘Ore Mekunu’ indeed!

For the pensioners and other respected senior citizens, they will now be made to go through the rigours of opening new bank accounts again when they should be at home enjoying their well-deserved rest after serving the state meritoriously.

Most of the individual pensioners accounts are jointly run by them and their children due to illnesses associated with old age( because they can’t come to the bank again for transactions personally), and the self-acclaimed Governor of the people now wants to make these respected aged people suffer by withholding their pensions if they refuse to obey his directive.

Celebrities / Re: Bose Ogulu Dismisses Uju Stella's Pregnancy Claims For Burna Boy by uniteam: 12:24pm On May 21, 2016
I wonder how someone who doesn't know the pain of being a mother or parent would just come up and tag this woman as "bad parenting".

From being pregnant, to giving birth, even through the rigorous task of mothering, school runs, clothing, supporting and all, till the guy came up being a successful musician and yet you call that bad parenting.

If truly that's bad parenting, then I guess you will prefer to have such as a mother who can see you through to that success level.

What has the mum said wrong? Were you expecting a mother to come out begging the unknown girl or what exactly? Assuming the Uju Stella was impregnated by a motor mechanic or a job seeker, would she have come online to report to a blogger? Ask guys here who have been in such mess before (which I know they are plenty here), the first they do is to stand defensive and threaten the lady of which the lady would result to finding a means of getting in touch with his parent. So coming online now you think will ever make the relationship a sweet one? Never, ask those who made such mistakes in the past.

Guys, lets always give a chill before responding to issues so we don't spill out shit. Burns Boy has not grown up to become a thief, a rogue or a vagabond to this society but a blessing, no matter how we view it becos there are people earning their daily living from him so I don't understand the basis of your so called bad parenting.

You that had good parenting, its so obvious the kind of growing up you had by telling a woman old enough to be your mother "see how she looks", we were taught to respect elders while growing up. That's a direct insult.

I always watch with dismay how some NLs do come here to even call Buhari a dullard and yet he is the one ruling over our intelligent and educated parents? Then I will rather pray for such dullard as my father.

The mum has just said the right thing, the girl already insulted her by ignoring her to talk to the blogger. Bad advise though. Cheap popularity.

TPAND:
Burna boy is a classical example of a child raised through bad parenting.

Can't be surprised his mom said that, see how she looks.
Not all mothers are good.. Take note

Business / Re: Adewunmi The Blackmailer by uniteam: 9:44pm On May 20, 2016
Dear NLs, I have followed this topic from beginning till this point and I want to appreciate comments with objectivity from everyone but here are my contributions.

1. It is absolutely fraudulent to use another person's ID. It is impersonation, it is a criminal offence. Be it your wife or anyone and from my observations, everyone here believed the user to be female meanwhile its a different case. I will suggest that there should be an online attestation to all NLs to reaffirm their identities to avoid cybercrimes here.

2. I am not judging on this case but if truly ElHahJay has requested for a recharge card, that is not good, thats too cheap and will make everyone cast condemnations on you.

3. For someone like me, seeing the container sent by the OP is a confirmation that it is a genuine business. Following their conversation, she just wanted to expand her client base but the only thing she did wrong was hastily sending unfinished product's picture which gave the prospective client an opportunity to doubt her.

My wife has a business like this and we started this way some years back.

I remembered all these container we usually get from ojota and isolo (though she imports and packages directly from china now). They are of different sizes (50ml, 210ml, 250ml, 500ml) and we still have some local containers at home. It is not lacasera's bottle. We can see it in the finished product.

Exactly the trend of this case remained very fresh in my memory how she will send pictures, customers were paying into her account from US, UK, Ghana, Eket, PHC, Abuja, Ibadan and so on and someone will be designated to deliver either as appointed by the buyer or sent thru a public bus. My cousin was doing the Lagos delivery then and will collect cash with N1500 delivery charge.

As at that time, we haven't done NAFDAC registration so we were testing the products and it was working well. The one for acne, burns/redness, knuckle creams, body scrubs, serum, toning oil, face cream, stretch mark, brightening and so on. As at today, she has a factory, with several retail stores at different locations in Nigeria and distributing well.

People used it and believed in it and thats why they can patronize her and made the business grow, and already a visible brand in cosmetics production today in Nigeria. She got some graduates off the labour market already. We shouldn't be hasty to condemn our efforts. With BVN, telephone and social media, hardly will you be able to defraud anyone and go scot free.

Madam, don't be discouraged, God will bless your hustle but at the same time, try to manage your clients well because all these reactions have their pros and cons.

Thank you.

Nice one. I'll like to get it for my office work. You've taken time to point out the pros of the phone. I'll like you to sincerely point out the cons. Thanks

Like I said, the model of the phone is Nokia Lumia 1520 and so far, here are the cons observed.

1. You have to be careful in handling the phone because cost of repairs is very high.

2. Windows store does not have as many apps as what entails on play store (for android), but all what I required to productively manage my day, I have from windows store.

3. You cannot power it off to charge. If switched off, it powers on automatically when connected for charge. I don't like that, except you put it on airplane mode.

If you are a business person, windows phone is just the best. I use Nokia Lumia 1520, I bet the performance is better than Blackberry Priv.

1. My fully charged battery will last me for over 30 hours of continuous use for calls, messaging, e mailing, internet surfing amongst others.

2. The speed is just excellent, I have never experienced it hanging.

3. User Interface is also very good. Easy navigation and cool design.

4. I process an average of 10 mails per e mail address daily and I have nineteen (19) different official e mail addresses set up on the device and with optimum performance.

5. The phone has a 21 megapixels high resolution rear camera. Several friends have used my phone as professional cameras because you just wont believe its output and edit capabilities.

6. I use windows 8.1 but planning to upgrade to windows 10. Its just another computer for me.

7. The video playback quality is just like a 3D session and it has an auto projection inbuilt with the phone which allows me to share my screen automatically with a miracast enabled TV/projector.

8. I used to have 193 different apps without any impact on the phone but recently deleted some, left with 147 apps, some which are as heavy as 918MB, yet the phone performs excellently.

9. On security, no virus threats and I have an inbuilt mobile tracker which allows me to read all messages, facebook, whatsapp, calls log with recorded audio conversations, locations, wipe data, lock phone, snap picture and so on remotely, especially when the phone is stolen or missing.

This is just to mention a few but I can go on and on.

Forgot to mention, the time I got the screen broken, I paid N41,000 to fix it. I have used the phone now for over 18 months without a cover or protector and it still looks new because of the anti scratch design.

BUHARI vs HIS HATERS

I am neither surprised nor worried by " their" hatred for Buhari... rats and a cat can never live in the same place. Too many things divide and draw heavy distinctions between PMB and his haters:

¤ He loves Nigeria , they hate it.

¤ He thinks of Nigerians, they think of themselves and family.

¤ He is honest, they are dishonest.

¤ He has character, they lack it.

¤ He pursues the Hereafter they struggle to have the world in their armpits.

¤ He is patriotic, they are greedy and selfish.
¤ He serves, they derail and enslave.

¤ He is devoid of moral stains, they are immorality personified.
¤ His past is clean and shinny, their past hunts them.

¤ They are thieves, he catches thieves.

¤ They have stolen, he wants to get back the loots.

¤ They are insects and pests, he is a powerful and effective insecticide.

¤ Fear fears him, they are afraid.

¤ They are running, Buhari is in hot pursuit.

¤ They call for division, he works on unity.

¤ They say Boko Haram, he calls Nigeria.

¤ They want Biafra, he chooses Nigeria.

¤They shout Niger Delta, he advocates Nigeria.

¤ They shared money for arms, he is retrieving the money and buying the arms.

¤ They sponsored insurgency, he is defeating insurgency.

¤ They are like gel, he is the fire melting them.

¤ They make the noise, Buhari does the work.

¤ They are destroyers, he is a constructor.

¤ They are wailing and weeping and crying, the man is smiling, shaking, organising and hugging poor folks.

How can they love him?
• The more they hate him, the more we love him.
• The more they fear, the more we feel secured.

I can not choose a rusted iron and leave gold. Buhari has chosen Nigeria and I have chosen him.

(Pls pass on until it gets to every patriotic Nigerian)

God bless you. I Used to think only pikins are here. This is one of the best and mature responses ever seen on NL. For as many as those who wishes Nigeria evil and misfortune, they will not taste from the goodness therein.

NIGERIA'S Independent National Electoral Commission (Inec) has vowed to jail politicians who flout its electoral expenditure law by spending more than the allowed N1bn (£3.7m) and N200m (£740,000) for presidential and governorship polls when they stand in February. http://www.nigerianwatch.com/news/5812-inec-promises-to-jail-candidates-who-spend-more-than-the-allowed-limit-in-elections

If truly electoral expenditure spending limit by any political party is pegged at N1bn, how come the cost of advert for just one media company is N2bn? Then how much could then have been expended for the campaign? If the extract above is true, then some people must go to jail, enough of dramas in Nigeria, prosecution without penalty. Webmasters / Re: Payquic Is A Fraud!! Beware!! by uniteam: 2:40pm On May 18, 2015
Dear Nairalanders,

I want to start by apologizing for this late response on the transactional failure experienced by a user of this service. PAYQUIC IS NOT A SCAM. I will like to respond to issues raised on this forum one by one so as to be able to shed more lights on the some of the advantages of this service, online top-up. Payquic is currently serving a lot of corporate organizations in Nigeria and several individuals for electronic airtime top up, anytime, anywhere.

1. Selling in United States Dollar
This made me believe this company is a fraud! How would a Nigerian website with a Nigerian phone number but no Address claiming to offer Airtime topup in Nigeria sell in Dollar? Simply because they don't want to expose their bank details or company details! Why?

The company is not a fraud. We designed this specifically to meet the need of Nigerians in Diaspora who may want to purchase airtime for their loved ones in Nigeria. This can be done directly from this platform and the subscribers phone number will be credit automatically anywhere anytime.

2. - Using PayPal Payment Gateway
Who does this? Airtime topup PayPal!! In Nigeria!!
Alright.. i gave them a try

For those who will be accessing this service outside Nigeria, Paypal is a preferred payment gateway to Mastercard and Visacard. Thats why we also have paypal alongside with other payment gateways like interswitch. This is an online realtime airtime e top-up service, which has no limit to locations across the globe.

3. Note that this people did not ask me for the network i wanted to recharge! They only requested the phone number.. Who does that?

With the current level of technological advancement, Payquic has invested a lot on research and development to be able to differentiate their products in the market. Once your phone number is supplied to the platform, it recognizes immediately the network provider of that number and whatever amount of airtime you are requested will be credited directly to your phone number. You dont need to specify the network, just supply us with the number and we will complete the rest.

There is a phone number on the e mail confirmation sent to you. This number you can reach anytime to lay your complaints.

Payquic is here to offer you excellent services in a friendly and easy manner. We currently have a lot of Blue Chip Companies in Nigeria subscribing to this company to fuel their CUG lines on a monthly basis which sometimes attracts them a lot of benefits, bonuses and discounts.

Once again, i want to apologizing for the transactional error and i will look into this immediately and feed the house back.

I would also like to appreciate the house, those who discovered this and tried to guide the house, in case its truly a scam and those who have used this service before and were objective enough to respond "AS IS" on this issue.

For further enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact me on tolu@payquic.com.

Thank you.
