Jokes Etc / Re: Things We've Learnt From Nollywood by unix4real1(m): 2:05pm On May 25, 2008 |
Can someone tell me to stop laughing out loud. let me pick put the ones that`s killing me most: - when someone is recounting an experience, he/she must always pause about 5 seconds and stare into the camera while the "remembered" scene loads - A church rat or a poor man can afford a well furnished apartment and still be starving - If jim iyke is from a poor family, he is self made who wants to marry a rich man's daughter. And if he is from a rich family, he is in love with a poor girl but his parents won't alloy him to marry her. Which ever way, he ends up marrying the girl against all oppositions - If jim iyke is from a poor family, he is self made who wants to marry a rich man's daughter. And if he is from a rich family, he is in love with a poor girl but his parents won't alloy him to marry her. Which ever way, he ends up marrying the girl against all oppositions - A son and his father look the same age. e.g. Nkem Owoh (son), Sam Loco (father). - When a man is about to throw his wife out of the house, her bags are always already packed and ready to go. - And weneva whoeva returns from the US, they wear a dress with either the american flag on it, I love NY, or some hip-hop git up and then they start speaking this outrageous phonetics. - An actor can wear the same dress in four different non related movies. - When you are shot in the chest, it really doesn't matter; your head will be bandaged! Same for your legs! Nollywood indeed!!! |
Music/Radio / Re: The King Is Back (eedris Abdulkareem) by unix4real1(m): 2:45pm On May 24, 2008 |
dready: Is alright dready. i hv known you for saying things sensibly and normaly, even if u don`t reply, i know the type of personality you are. I hv the latest album of eedris and i see that it might not be what pple are expecting but he is still playing the style of music he used to. when you check out his album from the first till date you see that it`s quiet playing the same style he used to play like doing rap and some afro hip hop styles. basically is not really into Hip Hop or Real Rap because he used to blend everything all together and that`s what we hv knwn him for from the beggining. Most of his debuts were afro hip styles(oko omoge, jagajaga, mr lecturer e.t.c) not even rap. so expecting a real rap album from him is not essential because he has never done that. I think diifferent artiste with different styles of music and you will definately have your own fans no matter what type of music you playing even no matter how razz it is. Check Konga with his Razz style of music, he is still one of the popular artiste in naija and hav his own fans and i can never expect more from him than the music he used to. Secondly, it`s not easy for someone that hv been out for a long time to come back and regain his space just like that. you can even see loads of example yourself. Mase, Plantashun Boiz, Daddy showkey, Baba fryo, Blakky and lots of big names like that, they hv been making hits before they went underground but later find it difficult to meet up with the present standard and the most problem they used to face is that pple will be expecting much than before from them but they end up coming back with the styles they used to. So i think that`s Music generally. at least i still hv 3 tracks in the new eedris album tht am feeling always despite the fact that it`s not up to expectation but for been his fan and also used to his style of music then it doesnt make any difference to me. Thirdly concerning eldee`s comment on the line of ruggedman rap line, i think you say it the way normal person suppose to reply such task. say it the way you feel without not bragging on others or trying to proof that what you analyze is the right thing and what others are saying is rubbish. Hv a nice weekend dready |

dready: I never think that i will see you on eedris thread again ever since i asked you to judge eldee`s definition of ruggedman`s line in eedris track we need peace to move even if we no be equals but since then i never see you again on that thread. I used to like you anyway because u always say things sensibly. dready: It shows that the album to you is flop but not for everybody. but for some idiots we knws but can`t mention their names for stupid response reason, is quiet differnt. wether he is wack, lame, or needs to improve, he can still proud of thousands of fans to his credit so what are we talking about? |

i think both of them were genius, if you check dbanj`s tongolo merix sorry remix then u know that don jazzy head is there and also check 2face`s for instance then you`ll realise that ojb is also maintaining his champion. i think this ID Cabasa guy is also something else, check out ruggedman`s ruggedy baba beat then u see what am talking about. |
