Xtruzz:Thanks for the information. If my memory isnt failing me, I have never insulted or abused you on this platform. |
Xtruzz:Does this mean he continues to head the DPR? |
makonko:Ohh, I see. Collecting his own portion. LOL. |
Xtruzz:Thought he has already been settled in the 1st batch. Merit indeed. |
If truly he has the interest of the "Merits" at heart, he should reach out before it's late cos nothing is certain. I just feel there is more to this thing. I can't imagine why anyone would make it linger this long when/if things are in order. |
@Xtruzz, Whats up na. You've been unusually quietly lately. |
Morning guys, it's a new week. Let's hope for the best. ![]() |
For those thinking the 2nd batch is not real, calling everyone who comes here to share information available to them liars, the truth will come out in a matter of days and you all will be surprised. I was once an unbeliever of the 2nd batch too, not until I had first hand information about it. It is 100% real. The only problem is that its not as massive as most people think it is. The number of successfuls to be contacted is not as posited (the list is a small one). I also cannot vouch for the nature of these candidates (Merit or SH). But contact will be made shortly. Peace. |
Marvel68:I love the tone of this. |
@Xtruzz, have you confirmed what you heard? Waiting to hear from you. |
Xtruzz:@Xtruzz, have you been able to confirm what you heard? |
Please, who can confirm if the gist I'm hearing is TRUE: 1) That successful candidates will be contacted starting Late May. 2) That resumption is early July. 3) That some "special" candidates were recently contacted some weeks ago. 4) That we will be given 3-4weeks notice before resumption. 5) That PLs will be out exactly one week after APLs. Please, anyone with reliable info should enlighten us. Thank you. |
Mailbab:PLEASE, enlighten me. What has Ramadan got to do with the APL? |
Mailbab:The DPR does not need to wait till this time before contacting the successful candidates. As a matter of fact, passage and/or assent should do. |
peepydelano:Yes, it shouldn't, Caeteris Paribus. |
peepydelano:Assent. The President will have to sign it. |
peepydelano:Lol. Yes oo. We will start receiving predictions from Thursday, once the budget is passed on Wednesday by God's grace. |
wixzer:Senate committee finally lays budget report The senate committee on appropriations has laid the 2019 budget report. The report was laid on Wednesday after Danjuma Goje, chairman of the senate appropriation committee, moved a motion. The report ought to have been laid on Thursday but it was delayed because other standing committees had not submitted their report to the appropriation committee. Senate President Bukola Saraki had given a deadline for the report to be laid last week Thursday and promised that the budget would be passed by April 16. However, the delay in laying the budget report affected the passage of the budget. Last week, Sunday Ogbuoji, vice-chairman of appropriations committee, said only 24 committees had submitted their reports. “We are still having some challenges with the sub-committees on appropriations because out of the 61 committees that we have, only about 24 committees have submitted their reports and we are unable to go ahead and write the appropriation report unless we get further directive from here,” Ogbuoji said. It is expected that the budget will be passed on Wednesday next week when the senate reconvenes from the Easter break. |
2019 Budget passage likely tomorrow BARRING the unforeseen, the National Assembly will pass this year’s Appropriation Bill tomorrow. It was learnt yesterday that the Appropriation Committees of the Senate and House of Representatives have been working round the clock to ensure the submission of budget reports to the two chambers tomorrow. To avoid any form of harmonization that will further delay the passage of the bill, both chambers plan to submit the same budget report. On Tuesday last week, Senate President Bukola Saraki gave all sub-committees Wednesday deadline to submit their budget reports to the Appropriations Committee. Saraki also mandated the Appropriation Committee to submit its budget report on April 11 for consideration and possible passage today. But The Nation found out that the bill was not ready for submission for consideration at today’s plenary. The Senate President had warned that the Appropriations Committee may be forced to use Executive submissions if the sub-committees failed to submit their reports to the Appropriations Committee by Wednesday. Saraki described as unacceptable that only noted that only 24 out of 61 subcommittees committees had submitted their reports as at last week. The budget item, curiously, was not listed on the Senate Order Paper on April 11. A competent source told our reporter yesterday that “the Appropriation Committee is already putting finishing touches to its budget report for submission to the Senate in plenary on Wednesday (tomorrow).” The source added that “barring any hiccup, the 2019 budget will be passed the same day.” |
makonko:DPR budget? Expound, please. |
makonko:All is left concerning the budget is for it to be passed and signed by PMB. Passing of the budget should be Tuesday next week hopefully. |
siina:DPR isnt. The DPR is one of those usually called upon to defend its budget before the house, before the its being passed. Failure of DPR and some other MDAs to show up timely for defence last year was one of the reasons for the delay of the budget then. |
siina:........ |
Madam Xtruz, I sight you. Any update? |
This place is just too quite lately. Haha |
yusufadebayo02:Hmmm. This your story get as e b oo.. |
DPR na wa oooo.. |
GCON39:This is not even an issue. There are so many ways for them to cover their backs. So many.. They will have the supposed "master merit list" to tender. That's not a problem at all. |
One more day for the 1st quarter of 2019 to be over. Well, well, well. Lets hope this backdoor thingy doesn't override the whole "merit" thing. |

I will suggest you guys create another thread for sharing of NNPC past questions. That should be better. |
Any of the recently contacted EH candidates should please kindly tell us the resumption month on the APL. |
Merit indeed.
