The problems now is how early various units reach out to the successful one's,some have received Apls, some are about to.once it gets to the appropriate place, they will place calls
At the same time, I will not be surprised if some people decide not to come here to testify, thus, just a few testimony. Cos some people will label them SH candidates (which may not be true) and accuse them of stealing their slots/position.

My Guy, weldone. grin grin Carrots are really good for our health. Eating it steady.

I get kweshion, the APLs where sent across to where biko?

Since TMC delayed calls yesterday, lets see what Will be the cause of delaying calls today and tomorrow abi?
Findings:

1) Expect calls today, tomorrow through First week of July.

2) To answer your questions, letters are being sent to other offices. You don't expect someone residing in Kaduna to come pick up APL in Lagos, do you?

3) July 22nd is the earliest date for resumption. There is a window for resumption after this date and a specified date after which the appointment is regarded forfeited if no show.

Good luck Guys!!!!

find out the outcome of today's meeting first before choosing the date for your twitter protest
I'm yet to confirm if the meeting was held today.
Anyone with information concerning that should help out.

Heard from a fellow hopeful that there is a meeting today by 11am centred on APL issuance but she's not sure of the credibility of the source anyone heard anything similar or contrary please?
This is likely true. That's the Top Management Committee (TMC) meeting I was told has to happen to debrief certain key personnel about the progress of the recruitment and also deliberate on issuing of APLs. I was also told it will hold this week. Marvel also made reference to it in his recent post.

As much as we want to get this protest going in unison, I don't support your 4days to go. The planned twitter protest should commence immediately.

Its the same circle for goodness sake. A task of just calling candidates have taken almost a year with this week, next week, next month and here with no sign of any change and then waiting till friday. What for if I may ask?

@Goodlucknigeria hope the twitter link is ready? For those with ideas how we can make this twitter protest go viral or with other social media experience and influence, the time is NOW.
You can start the Twitter movement, no one is stopping that.
4days for me to present the evidence I have in support of the movement.

U are a selfish being why seeking for people to hold on till 5th July just because you don't want anything to affect your slot.

Have told you guys time without number that there is no second batch. It might be difficult for you to believe but am telling you the fact.
Sir/Ma, please let this rest. There is certainly a second list and I've got proof of this, which will be revealed when the time comes.

LADAN BOWS OUT OF DPR

Following the expiration of the tenure of Mr. Mordecai Ladan as the Director of Petroleum Resources, and in line with the provisions of Circular Ref. No.SGF.50/S.II/C.S/268, the former Director (2015 - 2019) has formally handed over the affairs of the Department to the most senior officer Mr. Ahmed Rufai Shakur, the Deputy Director and Head, Corporate Services Division in an Acting capacity.

Mr Shakur comes on board with over 32 years experience in the oil and gas industry with very robust service records in the regulatory arm of the sector.

A graduate of the Ahmadu Bello University with a Master of Business Administration degree. Mr. Shakur has held various positions across the value chain of the DPR from the zonal offices to headquarter and has attended numerous management and leadership courses locally and internationally in notable institutions worldwide like the Columbia Business School, New York USA and Wharton Business School, Pennsylvania, USA.

Embodied with renowned past records in strategic leadership, corporate governance and optimal performance, Mr Shakur is expected to steer the Department to the next level.

SIGNED

HEAD, PUBLIC AFFAIRS
With this, I personally believe this recruitment will be rounded off in the shortest possible time. Let's see what next week holds.

who is the acting Director? Is it AR Shakur as speculated by someone earlier?

Btw, Unknownuser shouldn't develop cold feet on us in the event that we have to resort to taking action smiley
LOL, never going cold turkey here. Once this month runs out and we hear nothing from them. I'm all in with the proof (of resumption) I was supplied. Will also get the ginger to solicit for more evidences with whatever stealth method I can use.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Department Of Petroleum Resources - 2016 Graduate Trainee &experienced Hire Job by Unknownuser: 11:53am On Jun 21, 2019
After reaching out to some people (insiders) who are willing to release information, here is what I gathered:

1) Resumption is 22nd of July 2019. CONFIRMED. This is no prediction and I have been supplied proof for this which I am willing to present should/when need for it arise.

2) On why we haven't been notified yet. What I was told: "Some things need to be done before APLs can be released". On probing further, I was not told what these things are but I guess the insider was referring to meeting(s) which is to be done before APLs are dished out.

Another insider: Top level meeting will be held this month (date/time not specified) and some concerned people will be made abreast of developments or progress concerning the recruitment.

I am in full support of the protest once this month is unfruitful and I am willing to submit the proof made available to me. We need to put heads together and make this protest impactful. We can't achieve anything divided. Unity is key.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Department Of Petroleum Resources - 2016 Graduate Trainee &experienced Hire Job by Unknownuser:
We are all graduates here. Let's go ahead with the protest then. If/When we are asked simple salient questions, let's provide conjectures(from Nairaland) and see how far that will take us.

All I know for sure is that all the first class candidates that applied for DPR were given appointment on merit. I know of a colleague of mine in my Master's class that left last year with the first batch. We still have a few APL on merit basis though
All the first class candidates? Get your fact straight.

Please I need enlightenment? What would the protest be based on?

If i had applied and was called for all stages of screening does that automatically make me qualified for the list?

I am fully in support of whatever it is that will put things right and make the ordinary man who is qualified get what is due.

But how do i substantiate that isn't the case...

How do i even prove that the first and the "so called" second list is not fair merited and equitable

Do I rely on the rumours on nairaland as evidence?

I would really appreciate the protest but am really confused here as to what basis to use in justifying my actions...

Am confused

Please help...
My point exactly. Suggestions are needed. We need to achieve this unified.

If you have this mindset, nothing will be done. Last recruiters went on protesting when they heard their names would be substituted. Their protest yielded positively until DPR released their APLs. If those guys were silent, their names would have be replaced.
SIR, we are on the same team. I'm only trying to make us see how vital having a cogent proof is.
Regarding the last recruiters, they succeded majorly because no one had been called before the protest.
Out case is different, some (whether SH or "Merit" candidates ) have been called, they can easily claim that's all the recruits.

Which proof do you need, when hopefuls are on nairaland where we gathered and nobody has been contacted officially for APL except the shareholders and some merit applicants with long legs. We called DPR helpline on radio Nigeria program last year, all that they said was to visit our portals and since then nothing has shown. Our portals remain open but people are collecting APLs from DPR on daily basis.
I understand you. But they will tell you not every applicant is on Nairaland. They will also ask what percentage of applicants are on Nairaland? An answer no one has.

Yes they did. But what proof do we have that they haven't taken recruits in those figures? There is no evidence to show they haven't met those figures.

I concur , the earlier we take action against this impunity, the better. If they are truly done with this recruitment, they should close the portal and relieve us the psychological torture. But before then we must protest and demand the whereabouts of the remaining 300+ APLs.
Gentlemen and Ladies! Gentlemen and Ladies!! I repeat; No Body will fight for you in this Country, the earlier we fight for ourselves, the better for us.
I am in support of this, BUT, let's be sincere with ourselves, we need proof. What proof do we have that the recruitment has not ended? What proof do we have that there is truly a second batch/list? What proof do we have to counter the claim, should DPR say they've contacted all successful candidates since last year? We can't just go by what our informants here feed us (not doubting their info in anyway, cos I have been able to personally confirm the second list exists, but I don't have proof as well and I cannot implicate who told me).

The opened portal isn't enough proof, cos they can give flimsy excuses for leaving it unattended and there will be nothing we can do about it. They can as well decide to close it at anytime they feel like.

So guys, we need evidence(s).

You are not saying the truth. My wife work with DPR and i saw her monthly payslip and she entered as a graduate 5years ago and her salary per annum is not up to that amount. The period they use to get up to that is only in November and December when they pay them twice of their salary.
Mind you Sir, the payslip never reflects all the other numerous allowance she collects. So, it's not all about the payslip Sir.

Of course there are many many more, that was just to show him that the package is definitely way more than 3million p.a.

Gilbertase:
bro, for me it is. Both from a career point of view and welfare, there is no comparison. Abi why would anyone leave middle management role in a PLC to accept entry level role in DPR..no be demotion be that? From the way pple dey covet the job, i get what you mean. I once saw someone post here that he would leave a full scholarship abroad to join DPR. Why the hell would I do that? How much be the welfare? The letter was shared here na.. even with all the allowances e fit rish 5 million p.a? I no fit accept entry level position wen i am positioning myself for top management roles. It would scarify my resume. I am speaking for myself, not anyone else.

PS: I have info (tho not top notch) that the pay including all allowances no rish 3million p.a after deductions. Anything asides that could be categorized as proceeds of sharp practices, and not standard emoluments perse. Correct me if this assertion is wrong, but hey even access bank entry level takes home more than that now, and heaven no fall, pple still dey enter on merit, no noise, no palaver. So what gives?
This is very very untrue. Accommodation allowance alone is 1.8m, so, how will the package not be more than 3million p.a.? Please, get your information right Sir. Even the allowance you will be given for relocation after accepting appointment and documentation sef is more than some people (well paid ones oo) 3months salary. Its obvious you're not well informed.
