Nairaland / General / How To Save, Invest And Earn In Dollars With Piggyvest App by unleashtech: 9:59am On Jan 25, 2022
In this post, I will show you how to save and earn in dollars with the Piggyvest app.
Do you want to save and invest in dollars in order to beat Naira fluctuation? Or rather are you looking for ways to save, invest or earn dollars in Nigeria? Then, you are in the right place
As we know, Naira has been falling against Dollars and it is still likely to fall. Hence, it is better to always find a way to earn, save or invest in dollars. One of such ways to achieve this is through Flex Dollar in Piggyvest.
When you sign up on this Piggyvest link , you also get a 1,000 naira welcome bonus
But before I dive deeper, let me explain what the Piggyvest app is all about for those who may not know.

What is Piggvest App is about
Formerly called piggybank, Piggyvest was launched in 2016 as the first online savings and investment platform across West Africa. Their mission is ‘to give everyone the power to better manage and grow their finances.
Among different ways to save and earn on the app, the Piggyvest Flex Dollar account is something you should try out.

How to save, invest and earn in dollars with Piggyvest app
So how can you invest or save in dollars with the Piggyvest app? It is through the Flex Dollar account .
Flex dollar lets you benefit not only from naira depreciation but also get a 7% interest p.a on your dollar amount. That is the beauty of Piggyvest Flex Dollar. For instance, if you have bought 100 dollars many months ago at the rate of 420 naira and is now 550. Right now, you will have 13,000 naira plus interest. That is over 30% interest in less than a year.
One thing to note is that Piggyvest uses a black market rate and not an official dollar-naira rate. This means that the price you will buy dollars to save in this account will likely be higher than what most banks offer.
And oh sorry, you cannot buy dollars from elsewhere and transfer it to this account. You have to buy it on the app.

Steps to save and earn in dollars with Piggyvest app
Download the app through this link and create an account (if you don’t have one yet)
Thereafter, tap Savings Icon
Next, tap Flex Dollar
Tap on Fund my Flex Dollar to buy dollars
Choose the amount and select funding source either your piggyFlex wallet or your linked card

https://unleash.com.ng

The branch app is one of the fintech companies on the rise nowadays. Although most of them do make a lot of impressive offerings, only a few have lived up to that expectation. Incidentally, This app is one of the few.

In this post, I will review what the branch app is all about which includes the app features, answer some common questions and give my verdict on this app.

Let’s get started…

What is Branch App?
Branch app, developed by The branch company is on a mission to provide financial services to mobile users generation. This international company exists, so far, in 4 countries namely the USA, Nigeria, India and Kenya.

This company, with the aid of Machine learning, is able to determine how creditworthy is their customers. This influences whether one will qualify and how much loan one can get for a start. This amount will increase the more you are faithful in loan repayment.

Although Branch is notable for providing loans to its over 4 million customers, that is not all it offers. The App also gives a high investment rate (currently 20%), free bank transfer etc

What is Branch App all about?
The branch is a finance app that you can use to achieve the following:

Loan
Invest: Flexi or Fixed investment
Free Bank Transfer
Pay Bills: Airtime, Data, Electricity and Cable TV
Request for money

How to download Branch App
Presently, Branch App is only available on android. iPhone users are missing on this one. Hence, download the app on the Google Play store by searching for branch app.

Thereafter, fill in your details including BVN, take a selfie passport and others. This should take few minutes and your account is ready

How to get The Branch referral bonus
To get the branch app referral bonus, follow these steps carefully or else you will be denied.

Firstly, you have to make the first deposit into your wallet. This you can easily do with your debit card linked to your Branch account.

Thereafter, a promotion code will pop up. Input ikuser98161.

Did you miss the promotion pop up? then tap your account profile at the top right corner, then tap promotions to input the code.

The bonus will be added to your wallet. Please note that it may take up to 1 day before it reflects.
Note: This promo code will not work if you input it after a second deposit. it only works after your first deposit.

Branch App loan
Are you are looking for a quick and fast soft loan? Branch app can provide you with that.

To apply, simply tap loans on the app and the highest amount you are qualified for will appear. However, you can swipe left to reveal lesser amounts if you don’t want up to that.

Branch loan ranges from 2,000 – 500,000 naira with a monthly m interest of 1.5%-20% depending on how long you repay the loan. The loan term is 4-52 weeks but smaller amounts have to be paid back within 2 months. No late/rollover fees.

Branch App Investment
One of the coolest things about this app is its investment. Although other platforms like Reaprite and Piggyvest offer high interest, the branch gives much more. The branch app pays you 20% p.a. on investment whether it is Flexi or a fixed one.

The Flexi investment is a type of investment that gives you the liberty to withdraw your funds any time after 24 hours of deposits. That is huge flexibility. In addition, you can keep adding to yours anytime you like. The interest is paid weekly and automatically added to your investment balance. However, if you want to be more disciplined, fixed is for you.

With a fixed investment, you can lock your funds for a minimum of 30 days at 20% per annum. The minimum amount is 5,000 naira. You can have more than one fixed investment and set different maturity dates with the interest paid at maturity.

Branch Wallet
The branch app wallet is loaded with many things and sectioned into 4.

The first is Add Funds. Here, you can fund your wallet either through a loan or from your account. If you choose a loan, it will take you to a page to apply for a loan. The second option which is to fund with your account means you can fund your wallet either through your debit card or bank transfer.

Secondly, is Send Request. This feature allows you to receive money from people. To do this, you fill in the amount you are requesting then tap Send Request. Thereafter, a pop-up will appear with an option to copy to clipboard, send it to social sites or email. The template is ‘Please pay me (amount) into my Branch wallet by making a transfer to (Your Branch bank account)’.
Thirdly, is Pay Bills. In this section, you can buy airtime, data, prepaid electricity and cable TV.

The last section is Free Transfer. With the free transfer, you can transfer to any bank account for free. Personally, I love this feature as this means I don’t need to use my bank for inter-bank transfers due to charges. Other Apps I do use to transfer money for free is the Barter app and Chipper Cash app. Try them!

Branch App invite: Referral Bonus
How about getting paid for referring your friends? Branch app invite caters for that. Just copy your code in the invite section and share it with your family and friends. When they sign up and make their first deposit, they get paid and you too.

In this section, you can also see your pending, earned and redeemed bonus

Branch Deposit Bonus
Another bonus you enjoyed using the branch app is a deposit bonus. That is when you add funds of at least 300 naira to your wallet, you get a 50 naira bonus. This bonus can only be gotten once per day and a maximum of 10 bonuses per month. This means you stand a chance of getting up to 500 naira per month.

I hope this bonus continues forever

Branch App Alternatives
Due branch numerous financial solutions, it competes with so many apps in the category of loans, bills payment, free bank transfers, savings and investments. Some of them are:

Reaprite: Reaprite is an app that offers categories of savings ranging from short to long term.

Piggyvest: Piggyvest app lets you save and invest. You can save in naira or dollars with interest. In addition, you can invest in different sectors that are available as low as 5,000 naira.

Chipper Cash App: Chipper cash allows you to send/receive money for free, buy airtime/data and pay bills
Barter App: The barter app is one of my usual apps to send money to other banks for free. Other features on this app are to create dollar virtual card/gift card and pay bills
Carbon App: Carbon App gives loan and also operate savings account with a competitive interest rate
Cowrywise: Cowrywise is also an app that lets you save and invest
Jumia Pay: The best thing about Jumia Pay is the bonus you can get by buying airtime/data, pay bills, cable TV and other subscriptions. This discount can be up to 20% on a certain day and that is why I use this app every time.

Nairaland / General / Saving Tips: How To Save Money Fast And Easy by unleashtech: 7:14pm On Oct 08, 2021
https://unleash.com.ng/

Habit can take time to form so also is the habit of saving.

In this post, I will show you some saving tips that you can use to save money quickly and easy.

Let’s get started…

1. Estimate your Earning
The first step in saving money is to know your total income whether on a monthly or weekly basis. Of course, you may not have an accurate figure, don’t worry as a rough estimate is okay.

This information will make you to also work out your expenses and know what is left to save.

2. Spend less than you Earn
To say the truth, expenses nowadays seem to be more than earning. Before the money enters, bills are already waiting to eat it up. However, to save, you must spend less than what you earn. This habit must be pursued vigorously.

Therefore, every unnecessary spending must reduce. If you keep at it, within a short while, you would have disciplined yourself to increase your saving habit.
Cut unnecessary expenses.

3. Open an Online Saving Account
To save properly, you can’t use the same account you use all the time. You must have dedicated savings account to where you can be sending your savings. This type of account allows you to save and also earn interest. In this case, an online savings account is your best bet. Easy to register and secure. In addition, it gives higher interest rates compared to traditional banks.

My online savings accounts are Reaprite and Piggyvest. Both give high interest rate.
You can sign up with this link and get 1000 naira
Reaprite:
https://app.reaprite.com/register/22660476
Piggyvest:
https://www.piggyvest.com/?newref=1&ref=9e9e90bd460719
You can also read about my comparison of Reaprite vs Piggyvest.
https://unleash.com.ng/piggyvest-vs-reaprite/

4. Save any Amount at Anytime
‘This is too small’, ‘I will save when I get a fat money’, or ‘I will wait till month end to save’. If you use to think like this, quit it. It is a trap that most people who want to save hold on to. But you have to conquer it!

The principle behind saving money is ‘little by little’ not ‘big by big’. For instance, 1 dollar that is regular is far better than waiting to have 100 dollars left to save.
Hence, don’t wait to save big money, rather, save any amount at any time you have it
This one tip was how I was able to exceed my saving goal this year.
Remember this quote: Little drops of water makes the mighty ocean.

5. Procrastinate
Procrastination is not always a bad thing. Sometimes, it is the best thing to do when it involves saving money. Is it a must to buy that clothes, Smartphone or a wristwatch now? When you critically look at your expenses, you will see what is needed, what can wait and what is unimportant. By doing these, you will be able to save money comfortably.

6. Use a Discount
So let’s say there is something that you must buy, you can consider a discounted purchase. That is, a 2% discount on your purchase can be put into savings. Remember, save no matter how little.
For instance, I usually buy airtime on JumiaPay or Chipper Cash App ( https://unleash.com.ng/chipper-cash-app/ ) a lesser price and Jumia site for shopping sometimes.

7. Quit Consumer mentality
Consumer mentality makes you always want to buy just anything that entices you. You don’t need that! Rather, as you save, also start to look out for ways your money can generate more money for you.
For example, you can invest your money in various businesses not only in stocks. Check the Piggyvest Invest section, Cowrywise.
Another option is to learn a skill to increase your earning. Lastly, you can start a profitable blog and make money from it.
https://unleash.com.ng/start-a-blog-and-make-money/

8. Borrow Interest-Free Loan
In your saving quest, you will most likely be tempted to withdraw and use the money before the allotted time. In this case, you can borrow money with no interest. How? Borrow from your friends or family. This approach will work if you have earned the trust of your family and friends because trust is the interest.

Final thoughts on Saving Tips
Savings is a good habit that when practised means you won’t always be broke.
Furthermore, as you save, start to think of how to invest your savings. Investment is the high level of savings that gives higher interest, albeit, involves risk. Therefore, do research and don’t invest all your savings at once. Diversify!

This Flutterwave product does everything that your traditional bank will do with a better experience.

But you may ask, why do I need to own a Barter App when I already have a bank that can do such? The answer to this question is what makes the App popular and must-have. Some of the benefits are

-Zero fees when sending money to any bank account. We all know banks will charge you when you send money to other bank account holder. With Barter App, there is no charges
-Unlimted transfer to any banks. While other online banks will promise no transfer fees, it is usually cap at a certain number, say, 30 transfers per month. On the contrary, the

Nairaland / General / 5 Ways On How To Prevent Your Whatsapp Account From Being Hacked by unleashtech: 9:53pm On Sep 26, 2021
https://unleash.com.ng

Hacking is becoming a serious concern for everyone online hence, there is a need to secure all your online accounts against hackers. In this post, I will show you 5 ways on how to prevent your WhatsApp account from being hacked.

Use Two-Step Verification
The first method on how to secure your WhatsApp from being hacked is to use the Two-step verification feature.

Two-step verification is higher-level security that makes sure whoever tries to open your WhatsApp account on any device will need to enter your unique 6 digits password you used when activating this feature. WhatsApp also periodically asked you to enter this code when you open the app to keep the code fresh in your memory.

This is how to activate it:

Open your WhatsApp App.
Then open WhatsApp Settings.
Tap Account > Two-step verification > Enable.
Enter a six-digit PIN of your choice and confirm it.
Provide an email address you can access or tap Skip if you don’t want to add an email address. It is recommended you add an email address in case you want to reset it, and also helps to safeguard your account.
Tap Next.
Confirm the email address and tap Save or Done.
With Two-step verification activated, you can stop someone from accessing your WhatsApp account on another device

Lock your WhatsApp account with a Fingerprint or Face ID
This feature gives an extra layer of security to the two-step verification feature. Normally, a person who knows your phone password can access any app on your phone such as Whatsapp. However, when fingerprint or face ID is activated, such a person will be prevented from accessing your WhatsApp app
To activate it,

Open WhatsApp App.
Then open WhatsApp settings.
Tap Account > Privacy
Scroll down to choose Fingerprint lock( or Face ID)
Tap and enable it.
This screen lock option will stop someone from accessing and reading your Whatsapp messages without your permission

Be Careful of clicking any link
Some messages with a link to a website may be an avenue to get your personal details. If you are suspicious of a link or the sender’s behavior, do not click on it on your WhatsApp app unless you confirm it is genuine. This is one of the ways to ensure the security of your WhatsApp account.

Log out of Whatsapp Web when done
Make sure to always log out of your WhatsApp web account when done on the computer especially if it is not your personal computer. Anyone can easily gain access to it if you didn’t log out. However, you still want to be connected to the WhatsApp web, lock your computer. By this, you have safely locked your WhatsApp from being hacked.

Review your Privacy setting
Another way to prevent your WhatsApp account from being hacked is to review your privacy setting. For instance, set who can add you to a group to ‘contact only’ or tweak it further by allowing only certain people to add you. If not, anybody can add you to a group you don’t like or to a fraudulent group thereby exposing you. There have been incidences of groups created solely to defraud and hack WhatsApp accounts.

HRSweetness:
Hmmm. Would love to try this. Is there a possibility of either apps having a "glitch"? What then happens to one's savings? Is there insurance coverage?

Both fintech apps are duly registered in Nigeria. I do not see any glitch with your money since you can trust some commercial banks in Nigeria. You can read further online to be rest assured.
Apart from this, my advice is if you try anyone, please keep your password unique. Protect your money from your own end.

I have saved a lot of money through these two fintech apps, so I can say they are both awesome. But wait, what if you just want to stick to one for now? which one is the best choice for you?

From my personal experience, I have not had any issues using the platform. The app is solid. It gives you comfort and a smooth experience, unlike some finance apps.

You can read about my full review on Piggyvest here. https://unleash.com.ng/piggyvest-review-best-app-to-save-and-invest-in-nigeria/

About Reaprite
https://app.reaprite.com/register/22660476

Reaprite is one of the rising savings and investment companies in Nigeria. Indeed, you can call it a Piggyvest alternative.

Reaprite is already gaining ground due to its juicy interest rate and other marketing strategies put in place by the company.

At first, I was sceptical to open another online saving app. It is enough that I have like 7 bank accounts (most are dormant). However, after I signed up to Reaprite, I understand the need to diversify my fund. Just like Piggyvest, the app is safe and sound. I’ve done a detailed review on Reaprite in my previous post. https://unleash.com.ng/reaprite-app-review-easy-saving-plus-1000-referral-bonus/

Savings: Piggyvest vs Reaprite
Right now, let’s go a bit deeper on the comparison between Piggyvest vs Reaprite. What is their savings plan all about?

Piggyvest Savings and Interest
Piggyvest has the following savings plan:

1. Piggybank
Ideally, this is where you will save your money in the Piggyvest app. Piggyvest allows you to save daily, weekly or monthly automatically from the bank card you provided. However, you don’t have to do auto savings but save manually instead. This is the option that suits my lifestyle.

Piggybank interest is 10% p.a.

You can withdraw 4 times per year. In addition, you can set your own next withdrawal date and not rely on their official date. To withdraw after using the whole 4 or before the withdrawal date attracts a fee of 2.5%.

2. Target
Target is for those who want to save towards a goal such as a car, school fees, vacations etc. Furthermore, under the Target category, you can choose either a private target, private group target or public group challenge.

Interest on Target is 9% p.a.

3. Safelock
Safelock allows you to save specific money for a period of time. This is another name for a fixed deposit account.

The interest rate here is 6-13% p.a depending on the duration.

The Safelock feature means that you can withdraw your funds when it matures.

4. Flex dollar
Flex dollar allows you to save in dollars to beat naira fluctuations.

The interest rate on Flex Dollar is 7% p.a. on Flex Dollar

5. Flex Naira
Flex naira is like a normal bank account. Money here can be withdrawn anytime. In addition, this account is where all your interests from any of the savings and investments plans are deposited.

Flex Naira interest rate is 8% p.a that is if you did not withdraw more than 4 times in a month

Reaprite Savings and Interest

Reapquick
Reapquick lets you save for as little as 500 naira for 3 months upward.

The interest rate is 12% p.a and it goes higher if you opt for a longer duration.

Reapplus
Reapplus is the next level of the Reaprite savings plan. Here, you can save at least 100,000 naira for 6 months upward.

Interestingly, the interest rate is up to 14% p.a.

Reapmax
Reapmax is for those who have a bigger financial muscle. With Reapmax, you can save 1 million naira minimum for at least 9 months. For saving this huge money, you enjoy 16%.

Reapgoal
Furthermore, there is Reapgoal. Reapgoal is like Piggyvest Target and it is for those who want to save towards a goal. For instance, I can save towards a house, car, school fees, vacation and so on. You can achieve this goal either personally called Personal Target or in the company of a group of people called a Village.

The interest rate on Reapgoal is 12% p.a.

Investment: Piggyvest vs Reaprite

Piggyvest Investment and interest
Piggyvest not only allow customers to save, but they also provide opportunities to invest. The investment opportunities cut across different industries such as agriculture, transport, real estate, finance and so on. For as low as 5000 naira, you can invest and the duration can be between 4 months and 18 months depending on the investment.

On the Interest part, it can be as high as 30% ROI.

The sad thing about Piggyvest investment is that all are sold out for a very long time. Therefore, one can say the company is more focused on Savings with little attention on investment.

Reaprite Investment and interest
Unfortunately, Reaprite currently does not offer any investment opportunities although the company claimed to offer both savings and investment services. Based on this information, one can expect Reaprite to start one very soon.

Final Verdict: Piggyvest vs Reaprite
Now we arrive at the conclusion of Piggyvest vs Reaprite.

On the savings angle, Reaprite beats Piggyvest in interest rate. For instance, while Piggybank is 10% p.a., Reapquick is at least 12% p.a. Also, Piggyvest Target is 9% while Reapgoal is 12%.

On the flip side, Piggyvest reduces this gap through what is called Piggy Points. With Piggy Points, customers get at least a point when they make a deposit of N2,000 upward. 1 Piggy Point is N10.

Investment wise, Piggyvest has an edge over Reaprite. Although all sold out in the Piggyvest app is the same as nothing at all.

Final Thoughts
No doubt, I love Reaprite for its higher interest rate, app interface and sign up bonus.

On the other hand, although the Piggyvest interest rate is lower than Reaprite, I can withdraw my money from Piggybank anytime by just adjusting the withdrawal date(subject to 4 times a year limit). This cannot be done in Reaprite unless I pay a 2% fee or wait till it matures.

Both apps offer N1000 referral bonus when you sign through these links:

Although Reaprite, on its website, claimed to offer both savings and investment opportunities to customers. That is not so for now as only savings options are available. Based on this, one can expect they will roll out investment opportunities in the nearest future.

Reaprite Key Features: Reaprite Products
The two key features peculiar to Reaprite are Wallet and Savings

Wallet
The wallet can be likened to a bank’s savings account. It is where you can put your money and withdraw anytime without being charged. However, you forfeit the interest rate if you withdraw more than 3 times per month.

While your money is here, you enjoy 10% p.a.

Savings
Savings on Reaprite has different options that suit every type of individual based on their financial muscle. Hence, the following:

Reapquick
Right from its name, you can see this type of saving is for those who want to do a short term saving to reap quickly.

For as little as 500 naira, you can start this saving for 3 months upward and enjoy over 12% interest p.a. Peradventure you need your money before maturity, you can cash out your money after 1 month. But wait! it comes with a penalty. If you break it, you will pay a 2% fee. This is to ensure strict discipline.

Reapplus
Let’s say Reapquick is beneath you, try Reapplus if you have the financial muscle of at least 100,000 naira. Reapplus lets you save for at least 6 months.

Interestingly, the interest rate is 14% p.a. Another exclusive feature of Reapplus is that you can’t withdraw your fund until maturity. This is to curtail the urge to withdraw before maturity.

Reapmax
In addition to the earlier ones is Reapmax. Reapmax is the high-level savings type of Reaprite and is for those who can save 1 million naira minimum for at least 9 months. For saving this huge money, you enjoy 16%. In addition, like Reapplus, you can not withdraw before the maturity date.

Reapgoal
Lastly, we have Reapgoal. This is for those who want to save towards a goal. For instance, I can save towards a house, car, school fees, vacation and so on. You can achieve this goal personally or in the company of a group of people. The personal type of Reapgoal is called Personal Target while the group type is called Village. Additionally, The interest rate on Reapgoal is 12% p.a.

Personal Target
The personal target of Reapgoal is when you prefer to create your own savings plan towards a goal up to a year.

Reap Village
Here, you can create a public savings plan towards a goal where interested people(kinsmen) can join. For instance, I can save towards a vacation of 500k and make it public. An individual who likes such an idea can then join instead of creating a personal one. The benefit of Reap Village is to motivate each person in the village to contribute unlike if it’s a personal thing.

Nairaland / General / 5 Ways On How To Prevent Your Whatsapp Account From Being Hacked by unleashtech: 1:49pm On Jun 14, 2021
https://unleash.com.ng

If you are suspicious of a link or the sender's behavior, do not click on it on your WhatsApp app unless you confirm it is genuine.

For instance, set who can add you to a group to 'contact only' or tweak it further by allowing only certain people to add you. If not, anybody can add you to a group you don’t like or to a fraudulent group thereby exposing you. There have been incidences of groups created solely to defraud and hack WhatsApp accounts.

Conclusion

These methods above are some of the ways to protect your WhatsApp account from being hacked.

Nairaland / General / Best Ways To Make Your Smartphone Battery Last Longer by unleashtech: 1:47am On Jun 12, 2021
https://unleash.com.ng/

There is a dire need to make our phone battery last longer despite the bulk of work it does. Complex activities running on today's smartphones are what is fast draining the battery while its capacity has increased over the years.  In light of this, these tips will make your battery last longer both in the short and long run.

1. Use battery saver

One of the quickest ways to extend the hours of phone's usage is to switch on the battery saver. Every smartphone has this feature.

However, before you on it, you need to know what it does. The battery saver extends your battery power by killing the background process of most apps and reducing the screen brightness on your phone among others. As a result, most apps will hibernate unless you open them. For instance, you won't receive push emails unless you open the Gmail app.

Some phones even offer ultra power saver which only allows you to make calls, message and other basic function while it shut down all other phone apps.

2. Adjust Screen Brightness

Another useful tip is to reduce the screen brightness of your phone. This automatically increases your battery longevity. Apart from this benefit, constant exposure to full-screen brightness is harmful to your eyes.

3. Close apps not in use

Have you enabled battery saver? you can still close some stubborn apps still running in the background. On an Android phone, simply tap the phone menu to close all apps.

But, if you don't want to enable this mode, this is another option to extend your battery power.

4. Switch to better Apps

Some apps consume so much power on your phone when in use. Such apps, if there's an alternative, should be deleted and install less power-consuming apps. Apps like PDF readers and video players fall in this category. For example, Vlc player consume less power than other video player app.

Therefore, consider installing related apps that are light and consume less power in order to keep your phone battery healthy

5. Delete unnecessary Apps

Delete apps you don't use. To start with, look through your app list and delete the ones you don't need. Although some pre-installed apps can't be deleted, you can disable them in the app management.

6. Use Wifi if possible

Always choose Wifi whenever there's an option to choose between a wifi Internet and carrier data. One obvious advantage is to preserve your battery lifespan before recharging it.

7. Off data when necessary

Another tip to maintain your battery is to off the phone data connection when not in use. This is because internet data consume a lot of power whether in use or not. But when it is off, you extend at least 25% power of your smartphone.

8. Turn off your Phone GPS

Turning on of phone GPS is useful such as easy tracking of lost phone or map reading. However, it comes with a cost as it drains your battery. Hence, turn it off if you don't see the need.

Does this method sound extreme to you? then choose when to on/off it during the day to keep your phone's battery from draining so fast.

9. Avoid overcharging

There's no point insisting on charging till 100% before you unplug your phone. Rather, cultivate the habit of being satisfied at around 90%. if not, you will tend to overcharge which can cause battery damage or degradation.

In relation to this, avoid overnight charging to prevent your overcharging before you wake up. This helps to maintain your phone battery in the long run
