Yes it's true Jesus carried it. But at some point the soldiers had to force Simon to take over from him due to how weak Jesus' body became

I don't no why people will still go to hell while he died for their sin.
The reason is because not all men has individually accepted His sacrifice for their sins through faith in it. That is the only reason people still go to Hell. You can learn more at FeedMeJesus

Christianity EtcDeath At The Mercy Of Life - The Reality Of The Resurrection Of Jesus by unstoppable51(op): 3:21pm On Apr 21, 2019
Awestruck, Death stood before the presence of Life completely paralyzed and helpless, staring at His magnificent glory - the glory of the one whom he had thought he had destroyed forever, the man Jesus Christ.

The resurrection of Jesus is no granny-fable, it is a well proven fact of the scriptures. Throughout the Bible, the evidences of His resurrection are laid bare via the testimonies of several men and women who had not only seen Him but have touched and heard Him.

By looking at certain things surrounding His death and burial also, we can find proofs that His body was never stolen and hidden somewhere else by His disciples. A belief that is strongly held by some Jews, Atheists and other non believers.

First, the Tomb was sealed with a great stone rolled on it. Unlike other Jewish graves or tombs at that time that had some sort of doors, this one had a great stone rolled on it. Thus rendering it permanently closed from all forms of external interference.

“So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.” (Mat 27:66)

After this great stone was rolled on the tomb’s entrance, a seal was placed on it. This seal by the Roman Soldiers who must have carefully inspected the tomb of Jesus to make sure the body was there before the stone is rolled at the entrance, was to pass the message to all unauthorized persons that this site including the body of Jesus, is out of bound for tampering.

Having done all that, the Chief priest and the elders (the Jews) in partnership with Pilate, had soldiers placed at the entrance of the tomb. The Bible calls this soldiers “a watch.” A watch here is a group of four fully armed soldiers who are given charge to guard at particular site or individual. They are changed every 3 to 4 hours to them awake, attentive and alert.

“Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first. Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can. So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.” (Mat 27:62-66)

Fully trained and armed to the teeth, there was no way ordinary civilians especially fishermen with no battle experience would have been able to overpower them to steal the body of Jesus. To insinuate that His body may have been stolen while the Soldiers slept is not only ridiculous, it is also to imagine an impossible thing.

The reason it is not possible for the disciples of Jesus to have stolen His body while the soldiers slept is because IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO CATCH A GROUP OF FOUR ROMAN SOLDIERS SLEEPING ON DUTY AT THE SAME TIME NATURALLY. To sleep on duty alone as a Roman Soldier then is a very serious crime that is only punishable by death. Direct execution. So no soldier ever lets himself make this mistake let alone four at the same time without being drugged.

The other reason is because these soldiers being “a watch,” are placed every 3 to 4 hours to keep them awake, attentive and alert. Except they were drugged or under a supernatural influence, there is absolutely no way the four of them could have fallen so much into sleep that the disciples would come, roll away the great stone with all its noise and not one of these trained-for-battle and constantly alert soldiers waking up.

Matthew tells us the popular claim that Jesus’ body was stolen by His disciples which is widely believed among the Jews, Atheists and other non believers today, was a well calculated plot of the Chief Priests and Elders of the Jews to invalidate the fact that Jesus truly rose from the dead.

“Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done. And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept. And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you. So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.” (Mat 28:11-15)

Did Jesus truly rose from the dead?

Yes He did. Death could not keep Him captive neither could the grave hold His body beyond the three days He said He would lay there. He arose supernaturally by the power of God.

“In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.” (Mat 28:1-9)

He was seen by His disciples on several occasions after His resurrection. Mary Magdalene, The Two disciples on the road to Emaus, the Eleven disciples, James and later Paul who was not there at the time of His death. These all bore witness that He is alive today having seen, touched and heard His voice.

“And it came to pass, that, as I made my journey, and was come nigh unto Damascus about noon, suddenly there shone from heaven a great light round about me. And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest.” (Act 22:6-cool

Before Festus and King Agrippa, Paul again boldly gave witness of His resurrection. Telling the King and all present of his encounter with Jesus.

“At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me. And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.” (Act 26:13-15)

All over the world, Jesus has continued to appear to lots and lots of people including Muslims and other non-Christians, letting them experience His love and mercy towards them.

His resurrection is what justified us from sin. It is in His resurrection that our faith lies.

“And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.” (1Co 15:17)

Because Jesus rose fro death, we can be sure that our sins have been fully paid for and washed away. And just as Christ was raised to life, we that have believed in Him as our Saviour shall someday be raised to an immortal life. Never to die again.

I hope this blesses you. Celebrate and rejoice, Jesus is risen. He is alive today. Death couldn’t and can never hold Him captive.

Glory to God!

Most people argue about what they should be asking honest questions about. There's nothing the Spirit of God functioning as the Spirit of Might cannot empower your body to do. Samson's case is even small. The same Spirit of God empowered Elijah, a man above 70 years to out-run the king's chariots (young strong horse specially trained to master speed for battle). That's not even all.
Let those who wants to argue blindly enjoy their game while we focus on revealing the gospel which is even the main purpose of this post.

(Mat 5:20) For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Is there a righteousness that exceeds the righteousness of the Pharisees that one must have to enter into Heaven? What was Jesus trying to say in Matthew 5:20? let’s take a careful look at that scripture again.

First of all, what is the righteousness of the Pharisees that Jesus was talking about in that verse?

It is simply a kind of righteousness that comes through personal obedience to the Law of Moses, the Torah. It is also known as self-righteousness since it requires a personal keeping of the Ten Commandments and statutes.

Now why will Jesus say one must have a kind of righteousness that exceeds that of the Pharisee to enter heaven?

First is because the Bible calls that kind of righteousness (self-righteousness) a filthy rag before God.

(Isa 64:6) But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

What Isaiah meant by that “filthy rag” in that verse is not the usual kind of rag you use in cleaning dust from your car’s windscreen or shoes. It’s far more than that.

The word “filthy rag” refers to a used menstrual rag. An older form of sanitary pad used by the ladies in Israel as at the time that portion of the Bible was written. That was what Isaiah compared the righteousness of the Pharisees to.

Again, if the righteousness of the Pharisees that comes by personal obedience to the Mosaic laws could take anyone to heaven, then we may have something to boast of since we got there by our works. We could as well beat up our chests and mock those who couldn’t “work” themselves in.

(Rom 3:27) Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

(Rom 4:2) For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.

Lastly, the righteousness of the Pharisees is actually disguised hypocrisy. Among people, they pretend to have no fault or weakness as humans, making themselves appear as though they never sin in order to win the praises of men.

(Mat 23:24) Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.

(Mat 23:25) Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.

(Mat 23:26) Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

(Mat 23:27) Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.

(Mat 23:28) Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

Claiming to be 100 percent all the time in their performance and trusting in their own abilities, they are hardly able to humble themselves to receive the grace and mercy of God for man.

So what righteousness supersedes this kind?

It is the righteousness of God in Christ that is received as a gift by faith and not works. This is the righteousness that justifies a man and qualifies him to not only reign in life but also to enter into heaven.

Through His death, burial and resurrection, Jesus obtained this kind of righteousness and freely offers it to all who would believe in Him as their Saviour from Sin and it’s penalties.

(Rom 3:20) Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

(Rom 3:21) But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

(Rom 3:22) Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

(Rom 3:23) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

(Rom 3:24) Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

(Rom 3:25) Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

(Rom 3:26) To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

It is this kind of righteousness Jesus had in mind when He said in Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and HIS righteousness……” That is what we have been called to receive in Christ. That is the righteousness that supersedes that of the Pharisees.

That righteousness has been given to you freely in Christ.

I hope this blesses you.

Glory to God!

From FeedMeJesus.com

Have you ever wondered how God will judge those who died before Jesus came? Especially the people who never had the opportunity to hear about Him at all?

Today we will see how God being a just God, in his wisdom made plans for those who never had the opportunity to hear the Gospel of Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross. If you are ready, get your Bible, note and pen and let’s dive into the Word together.
Let me start by stating categorically clear that JESUS is the ONLY way to God. No man at any time anywhere, can come to God except through Him. By coming to God here I mean no man can be saved from sin and it’s penalty (Hell) except through faith in Him and His sacrifice for sin.

Knowing this, we do not relent in our efforts to see the whole earth covered with the knowledge of the Gospel of Christ even as water covers the sea. We take the gospel to all kinds of people everywhere, proclaiming “Jesus their salvation, is here!”

Having made that clear, let us address the question, “what will happen to those who died without hearing about Jesus?” (I will like you to pay a careful attention here as we see this from the Bible together)

“For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one anotherwink In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.” (Rom 2:12-16)

From the scriptures we just read, we see that those who died before the coming of Christ shall be judged by Jesus on the last day. And they will be judged for the following reasons:

1.They Had The Demands Of The Law By Nature Written In Their Hearts As a Witness
Even though they may never have heard the name Jesus directly spelt out to them, they had the righteous demands of the Law of God which was supposed to produce Faith towards God and His Salvation written in their hearts.

“But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.” (Gal 3:23-24)

With this Law written in their hearts, their conscience ruled their actions and inactions. By condemning them almost everytime, their consciences completely exposed their weakness as man to them to the end they might reach out to God by Faith alone for help (Salvation). And since God has no other salvation to offer man than His Son Jesus, by exercising Faith in God for Salvation, they have also exercised faith in Jesus though without having a full knowledge of Him.

Does this mean those who never heard of Jesus will be saved if they lived according to the dictates of the Law, following their conscience? Not at all. If they ever get saved by obeying their conscience’s rules and regulations 100%, then salvation by works is possible. However, the Bible is clear that salvation can only be gotten by faith and not by works.

The essence of the human conscience is actually not to help us achieve salvation by our works. It is rather there to judge our actions and point our glaring weaknesses and need for a saviour outside of us to us. It is from this need that Faith was supposed to rise up from our hearts towards that Saviour who in this case is God.

Again, the human conscience just like the Law, was given to point out our need for a Saviour to us. On it’s own, following our consciences cannot justify us before God. Only faith in the one our consciences point to can justify us.

2. Natural Things Witnessed To Them About God

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.” (Rom 1:18-25)

“Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.” (Rom 1:32)

Natural things, the whole of creations, testify of the existence of a creator who only have the power to save the world from death. This creator apostle John tells us, is the Word who Himself is also the Christ.
God in Christ (the creator) left these created things as witnesses to point to Himself. Man was supposed to look at them and learn of His existence. Having known of Him from the works of His hands (creations), they were to put Faith in Him (not the creations now) for justification.

“Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out, And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein: Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways. Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.” (Act 14:14-17)

From the above scriptures, we see that God being a just God, never left Himself without a witness on the earth. So on the day of judgement, no man would claim to have never known of His existence as God and the saviour of the world. Although they may never have had a full understanding of the gospel like we have today, they cannot claim to be completely ignorant of Him.
In Acts 17, we see Paul in Athens explaining this powerful truth to the Athenians.

“Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.” (Act 17:22-23)

In the place we just read, Paul acknowledged that even without having heard of the Gospel fully, the Athenians worshipped God. Although in a very wrong way. So they were not saved, even though they worshipped God. And the reason for them not being saved is because they did not worship Him by Faith alone but by various rituals and works of their flesh (including idolatry)
It was from this ignorance (their wrong way of worship) that Paul encouraged them to turn from to Faith alone in God’s Salvation (Christ)

“Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.” (Act 17:29-31)

What if they had followed after God completely by Faith alone, then they would have been like Enoch, Abel, Noah and lots of Old Testament folks who despite the fact they never heard about Christ in full not met Him physically, sought after Him by complete faith in God. Hebrews tells us that by that faith they had in God for salvation, they were said to have believed in His Christ and were righteous before Him.

3. God Have Always Had A Man Tell Others About Him In Almost Every Generation

In almost every generation of men, God have always had at least one man who had a little glimpse of Him and told others the same. Even before the Law was given and before the birth of Jesus. He has never left Himself without a human witness also regardless of how little light that person may have had of Him.

Now while we may not be able to trace who it was in all the generations of our forefathers that had a little knowledge of God, we can always look at the scripture and see this principle at work. For instance, in the first generation of men it was Adam, then Abel, Enoch, Noah, Lot, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph and his brothers, Moses, Joshua, the Judges, Samuel, David, the prophets and so on till John the baptist.

There was always a man who either went around talking about God or stayed in one place and had kings and people from different nations come from far to hear about God from their lips. These people always go back to where they came from with the news of the God who made the heavens and the earth.

God is so just He never left Himself without a witness in almost every generation. So those who did not believe in Him from ages past will actually have no excuse before Him.
Before ever the Law came, men like Enoch, Noah, Lot, Abraham and the rest have in one way or the other, spoken about God to individuals and kings of their generations. See below scriptures.

ENOCH
“And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” (Jud 1:14-15)

NOAH
“And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly.” (2Pe 2:5)

LOT
“And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.” (Gen 19:14)

From this study in the scriptures, we see that God is going to judge all men including those who died before the coming of Christ by Jesus. Those who through the witnesses that God has left for Himself on the earth trusted in Him for Salvation, will be saved. Those who did not exercise Faith in Him regardless of how good and sincere their actions were, will be condemned.
Seeing that God has left us as His witnesses today on the earth, we do everything within our power to let the whole world know of this Gospel which is the power of God to save even the greatest sinner.

Those who trusted in God for salvation before the coming of Christ shall be saved because the blood of Jesus also took care of their sins. But those who did not, will perish alongside those who rejects the Gospel today.

I hope this blesses you.
Glory to God!
