Rabbits exhibit the sane character,a male rabbit is as terrestrial and aggressive as a male lion. Male rabbits also fight to death to claim their territory. You can't have two male Rabbits in a colony, one must kill the other to remain only alpha male in the colony.

They only kill each other but don't eat each other. They are herbivores

This is what makes lion the king, endurance. Others would have run away from the challenge, but he chose to die in honour than back off. This is what the life of male lion is all about, fighting against fellow male dominant lions to protect their territory. Respect.

The other lion was chased away, only this one stayed back to fight. This shows that not all lions stay to face a challenge especially a challenge from more powerful adversaries.
If this one had ran away like the other lion, he might have still been alive.
A wise lion will know when to fight back & when to escape from a fight. This one is clearly not a wise lion. The one that ran away is wiser.

Moral of the story: chose your battles carefully. Sometimes, it's good to avoid a battle/challenge from a more powerful & ruthless adversary if you know you might not stand a chance. That could be the difference between life & death in such situations.
