Iran quickly accepted the ceasefire because while inflicting heavy damage on Israel with those ballistic missiles, it was also suffering from catastrophic damages and risk escalation with the world's sole military superpower. They have to be strategic and not let ego and pride rule their decisions, the same question can be asked why did America and Israel in the background also propose the ceasefire, why not go all out until regime change is achieved, isn't that what they always claim to want? Why stop after 12 days only to come 6 months later to present another attack plan.

In response to your question, America & Israel proposed ceasefire because they had already achieved their aim, which is to destroy the Iranian nuclear capabilities.
Their aim was not an all out war on Iran but to destroy any Iranian nuclear capability & Iranian military leaders that strategize attacks on Israel, & they achieved that target overwhelmingly. Hence they saw no need for further attacks on Iranian citizens that pose no threat to Israel or America.
Note that the Americans & Israeli are not blinded by religious extremism like the Iranian leadership who are hell-bent on destroying Israel as a religious obligation, that's why they stopped further attacks after destroying Iranian nuclear & military threats.

You should be the one to explain to us why the Iranians accepted ceasefire since they have always been thirsty for the total destruction of Israel & the 12 days war presented them with the opportunity to achieve their evil aim.
