iscbaba:Not yet. |
Well...... I will comment from the Engineers perspective. To be a very successful engineer u need to often think and flow with the dynamicity of the career path. Technologies change now nd then, it is never routine except u want it, then if so get ready to be stagnant. Secondly most engineering jobs especially at entry levels requires you to move up nd down and at times under unfavourable conditions and requires you to often make very calculated decisions. Are u ready? Thirdly u will get to find out that engineering is more than the formulae nd theories taught in the class, but it is all about you nd your way of reasoning nd anaylsing issues. These are but a few. So are u willing? |
dejt4u:which website? I am not seeing such news in www.nysc.gov.ng |
Don't really know much about Nigerian universities. But u can check www.daad.de |
Please someone should answer me. |
Please I have a question. Is it possible for a departments' list not to come out with the callup numbers but later come out during mobilisation? |
Thumbs up bro. Am following |
Waiting............... AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU. |
Are u serious? ASUU lack shame. |
Economics, geophysics, project management but don't really knw if this courses are done in unilag. |
complete1: Good morin ladiesi have sent you a PM. |
ZackiGp: you should go and sleep, if you need any information ask me instead of chasing ghost and shadows over there. I'm a NEC member if you must know.Who asked u? How many people do you think cares to knw whether you are a NEC member or watsoever? Ok lets assume u are one..... What do u intend to achieve on this forum? Read the reactions of students that the greedy ASUU has succeeded in messing up or wat? Zackpoo u are just being insensible. Like someone said earlier to you pls get a life. |
Phder: Am not a white kid (there is nothing wrong with being white anyway). I know the system in this part of the world is different and all that, and I can't convince you to believe that bully is a bad thing. As with your kid brother issue, I find it difficult to believe your dad would condone bullying, the least he could have done was register his displeasure at the parents, teachers club.Bros abeg calm down........... I attended one of the navy schools. I was bullied to the core and treated like an armed robber, in fact the saying then was ''treat him like a criminal'' nd if u read my previous post u will see wat i did nd i can tell u dose ones were minor compared to wat dey did to me. I was once soaked in the gutter on a visiting day because i wore the wrong uniform, in that gutter was where my parents met me. Before i was released d only tin my dad did was to laugh at me. Mehn i have graduated from the university nd d discipline is still there, i don't mess with my seniors as far as u can prove it to me. |
Engineering is very dynamic nd challenging that is if u are practicing. I happen to work 4:30 am to 6:00pm nd might still need to wake up in between my sleep, just to make sure everything is fine. I knw of pple in d research team who get to sleep for just abt 4hrs a day. Life as a real engineer is not easy. U need to be mentally capable. |
Paris-fran:Madam that happened about nine (9) years ago nd u don't expect me to remain d same. BTW it was d way we were brought up den. It has its positive and negative impact one just has to choose. |
Well secondary school was secondary school i attended one of the navy secondary schools nd i can remember doing the following to my juniors: 1) soaking the guy in the gutter nd covering him with d slabs all tru d nyt for misplacing my school bag. 2) poured water on the floor and asked two juniors (siblings one was in jss3 nd the other in ss1) to stand on the wet floor nd hold on to a bunk den tapped live naked wire on the bunk to shock dem cuz dey lied. 3) slapped d senior prefect then (he was in ss2 nd i was in ss3) i front of his juniors cuz dey just handed over to him, so he was feeling too big to answer me. Well such is life. |

PalmTree: Good! That's the advantage GIS affords you. Keep at itThanks man |
PalmTree: Valid point! But based on a recent research that I conducted, I realized that most student embraced GIS even with the little theoretical introduction they had usually in their 2nd year. As for the flair, it comes with the prospects of learning something new.Yeah.... I agree with u. I am also learning and on the freelancing radar. |
PalmTree: I have made it an integral part of my firm's CSR to bring GIS closer to our students especially those in the Environmental and Earth sciences. I believe with time, I will extend it to Engineering and Business students. Countries in Europe, Asia and North America have been tapping into GIS for years, Nigeria must start tagging along, and if we must, our students need to be empowered.Sure, the awareness on GIS capability amongst students is very low in the country. But to me one needs to be enlightened and on the other hand equally needs to have the flair. |
Alikaxon: Pls, wat is the relationship, comparison or differences between geography information system and geography and regional planning? The relationship is that the three subjects mentioned are all earth based, the comparison is that the GIS is better when compared with the other two because, it houses their problems. Difference is that is manipulates, analyses, stores and produces results or solutions to their problems. |
PalmTree: That's cool! I run a GIS powered Research and Information Consultancy. From my experience, I think GIS is still very vague to most people, what do you think?I agree with you.. Guess it's because of the diversity in its application. |
Yeah... Environmenta/GIS support |
What platform do u use? |
Nawa for pple oh. D news on channels website has nofin to do with the meeting being held now. I know we want the strike to end but lets not misunderstand things here. |
honourableseyi: 120 days full time and 240 days part time in a year. I think it should be approximately 20hrs per week.bro thanks, but what about the pay per hour, about how much can one get per hour? |

....ok and guys
well a correspondent at d news desk of our's spoke to d NLC leader on a phone chat yesterday, here's jst a summary of d conversation n d part most useful to us.he said d country is going tru a hard face dat will lead to d reduction of corruption(like we care),wen asked abt d threat by FG to ASUU he said dat der might b no need for a mass sacking of lecturers because d strike MIGHT b called off soon(we've heard dat lk a million times),he is lk a mediator in d ongoing process between fg and ASUU,saying dat d way tins are goin rite now will yield a welcome news,he also said dat d ASUU chairman has nt since d last meeting met wit d president,he also said d president cant keep attending in person to each union pointing out dat is shameful to d NFF board dat d president now has to b d one allocating fund to coaches,if only his workers can see how hard he's trying to make d country a better place and stand up to d challange.well our main concern is dat d strike might b called off to prevent further difficult issues
