Thanks, I have written them.

I think it's best you write the Embassy explaining your plight. They only can guide your appropraitely and you will have insurance of an official conversation to reference if you have any issues on the day of your interview.

Urgent!!!!
I really appreciate the effort of everyone who have contributed one way or the other to the progress of this forum.
Please I need all the help I can get now. I had correctly filled my passport number on my DS-160 and MRV, then went ahead to apply for visa. But on my appointment document the last digit of my passport number changed from 5 to 1.
Is there anything I can do about it or I have to pay a new MRV fee and file for another visa?

Click update profile on your cgi Appointment portal dash board, I think you should be able to correct it.
Thanks for the response but I have done this but it wasn't possible to change it there.

Education / Re: Please, Is Age Still On My Side? by urchman101(m): 8:45am On Jul 31, 2019
kulreal:
I've been trying to find someone to share what I'm passing through right now with but I can't just find any, perhaps not to feel ridiculed or I don't just get; reason for coming on this forum.

I'm currently seeking admission into one of the federal universities here in Nigeria but unable to decide which course to go for due to my deficit knowledge of what the future holds.
Though from the outset of my Jamb registration early this year, I planned going for medical laboratory science but right now I'm just confused due to the age factor. I'm 23 years old presently and MLS is 5 years course (provided no strike) + 1 year internship + 1 year service making total of 7 years. Adding this to my age, I'd be 30 years by the time I'm done.
So to avoid this, I want to change to pure and industrial chemistry which is 4 years + 1 year service meaning by the time I'm done I'd be 28 years.
Now my questions are:
1) Assuming I go for MLS and considering my age after service, will I still be considered employable in the job market?
2) Also if I decided to change to PIC, what does the future holds cus I do hear most of their graduates are into teaching?
Thanks for your time and invaluable responses

Well, the major problem I think you have is the fear of the unknown. In all honesty, nobody knows tomorrow and what works for Mr A may not work for Mr B. So no matter the advice you get from here, the consequences will still be yours. My response to you is to first of all remove fear from the equation, look inwardly and make well informed projections. People have made fortunes with both courses in Nigeria. I know some people who studied PIC and are in the Pharmaceutical and Oil and Gas companies doing well for themselves.
Also within both courses nothing stops you from exploring outside the shores of this country. I will end by saying trust God in all the things you do and work extremely hard to graduate with a very good result.

Politics / Re: Bashir Ahmad Reacts To Buhari's "Nigerian Youths Are Lazy" Comment by urchman101(m): 10:28pm On Apr 19, 2018
straighttalk:
How will PDP not rush in defence of the fact that Nigerians youths are unproductive when they know that accepting the fact is accepting their 16 years of mismanagement and unprecedented looting in the history of this country.

How will PDP not rush to deny the fact when they know that at the end of the analysis, they will be fond culpable in the docility that plague the youth of this country owing to their fraudulent past.

How wouldn't PDP argue that nigerians youths are not lazy and uneducated knowing fully well that the same youths will be classified if not stigmatised if the youths got to know that what they have been denied of opportunities and benefits as a right.

PDP can only deceive some people but they cannot deceive the majority of the youths who have lived above the politics of emotions and sentiments, the reason why their ignoble activities was cut short and thrown out of power during the last general elections.

It's unfortunate that the same deluded youths whose emotions and sentiments had the better part of, are yet to realise what they were denied of 16 year of bumper harvest, enough to set this country on the path of Technologically advanced nation. Such that the same youth have organised themselves into amplifiers and magnifiers of distorted and contrived information targeted at discrediting the good and people's oriented policies of the present administration of Buhari.

It's on this note I urge the spirited good youths of this country to be immune of PDP and her agents of the contrived manipulations to woo the rest of us into believing that the present administration is not doing enough. We should accept our deficiency and seek to spore above the challenges

Now tell me who is deceiving who when the fact there and PMB is try with his interventionist measures in the form of blocking the importation of rice and other cosmetic goods to allow for food sufficiency and youth productivity, home grown food for school feeding, provisions of loans from Bank of Industry in Nigeria, etc yet many of us are always on the Internet looking for white-collar jobs.

PDP cannot and will never tell us the Truth: So let's face the Reality wake up from our slumber. China does not rise on white-collar but on productivity.
It's not about PDP nor APC. It's purely about the Nigerian Youths.

Religion / Re: Holy Communion Leftover: Should It Be Disposed Or Shared? by urchman101(m): 5:33pm On Jan 28, 2018
IecheM:
Hello fellow nairalanders, so after church service today we had holy communion and they were some leftovers. Please I would like to know if it's right to dispose the leftovers or share the rest among ourselves.

Over to the pastor's in the house.

Firstly, it is important for you to understand that Holy Communion can't be equated with the feeding of the multitude.
In the Anglican church, once the Holy Communion i.e. the bread and wine has been consecrated, it has to be consumed.
So at times you might find the priest giving you more than one piece of bread because he has sensed that their might be remnants, same goes to the wine which is now poured into very small cups as against the default single big cup.
If after the issuing the Holy Communion and it still remains, the priest can share it amongst themselves, the congregation again (mainly does sitting in front), the church workers, or amongst the choir members just as someone had stated here.

I enrolled to study computer science in Federal university of technology Akure (FUTA) but was later given Mathematical Science to study guys please advise me is the course nice and what is the Labour Market saying about it
Thanks
It all depends on what you make out of it. I understand that mathematics is an integral part of computational science and engineering. Computational approaches are now applied in science and engineering. So, if you pay close attention to your studies and develop relevant computer programming skills, then I believe you will have no reason to regret. It all depends on you.

I think people who say this deceive themselves, there is a joy you have realizing you have your own flesh and blood, a child you can truly call your own.

The one you want to adopt, no be person born am? If everybody is Okay with inability to give birth, where will you see the one you will adopt. Abegiii leave matter
Well, you are right in your own sense. I think we should also understand that most, if not all barren women never chose to be barren. This is something that can happen to anybody, even if we don't pray for it. Yeah, I understand that there is a level of joy that comes with having your own flesh and blood, a child you can truly call your own. It's doesn't mean that the barren should be left out neither should adoption option be ruled out also.

DiBoss:
Dear prospective students,

I believe in hope, I believe in opportunity and I am optimistic! No place on earth is rosie, but with the way things are going in our belove nija, I won't blame a banker who resigns and chooses to pursue a degree and career abroad. But I won't advise anyone to sell landed propert or take loans to come here cos that's gonna make u desperate and put more pressure on u.

Life is more than a pay check! Sometimes we also desire to be in a society and be respected as humans regardless of ur family name and background.

As a student, do not allow ur family back home put pressure of sending money to them on u and also do not paint any picture of having a goldmine in Germany. Cut ur coat according to ur material, do not be in a hurry take out time to search for cheap accommodation. Do not run down ur block account before implementing plan B. As soon as u settle, look for a mini job of atleast 450 euro basis. life in Germany is all about proper planning. 3 years ago during my BSc program, I had a class mate who was working and and he spent all his savings on flight ticket just to visit Nija. I told him that he was out of his mind. And here are my reasons. U are running to Nija to spend ur summer holidays when other students are staying back to pick up full time jobs to enable them save and work less during school session. He succeeded in visiting Nija, came back broke and was working hard during school session and in the cold winter to meet up. That's ridiculous! As a student, u should plan. There is time for everything, I rather stay back during summer, work full time job save some money that I can fall back on during school sessions. If u work and save during summer, u can conveniently work a mini job during school session and ur studies won't lack.

And my last advice...there are 2 kinds of foreigners in Germany. Those that wanna pursue a career here after studies, and those that wanna return back to Nija to pursue a career after studies. Clearly define the part u belong and chase ur dream.

Good luck my people and God bless all ur efforts!
Boss I hail oh.
Please what can you say about Bayreuth
