So my sister-in-law just picked up her passport.
She did her biometrics on the 20th of December.
Abuja Tls
Application moved to VAC at 11am
Collection mail 1pm
Documents submitted were WAEC, B.Sc and Bank statement.
No CV or proof of employment submitted
Study gap of 12 years
No NSF mail.
She will be attending Teesside University.

Many thanks to everyone for sharing their advice and experiences. It has been a very long journey for her and an exhausting experience. Those of you who applied to Teesside can attest to this.

Goodluck Everyone.

@mimilyrics @Justwise and all the Gurus. ..Please is it possible for a spouse to start her MSc(Nursing) immediately the husband is through with his own or must she come back to Nigeria and apply since her visa is a dependant Visa. Also what's the financial implications too

If her hubby has successfully completed his course, they may want to apply for the post study visa. If they are on the post study visa, she wouldn't need to apply for a student visa then.

Hi, from this info, it seems you doing another masters.
Did your school/visa authorities ask you on the reason for this? Did you have to explain this in your letter of motivation?

I had to address my reasons for doing the course in my personal statement. I had to also talk about it during my interview.

If the school decides to admit and give you a CAS, they would justify it to UKVI when they apply for your CAS. I was not interviewed by UKVI.

Hope this makes sense.

Good evening friends, is an Mph as (financially)lucrative (& easy to get a job after study) as a Masters in Nursing (with preregistration)?

There is actually no clearcut answer to this. In my opinion, it depends on your plans after graduation. Do you intend to return to Nigeria or remain in the UK? I ask because MPH jobs are very well paid in Nigeria but difficult to come by. In the UK, MPH jobs are not so easy to get unless you decide to do a PHD with which you can lecture.

I speak from experience because I did a Masters in Public Health. A classmate of mine returned to Nigeria and was fortunate to get a job with Clinton Health Access Initiative and was earning about 970k a month. They needed someone MPH who was fluent in Hausa.

Three other classmates decided to go the PHD route, two of them currently have lecturing jobs at MMU, Sheffield-Hallam and the other works as a researcher with the NHS.

I decided on the MSc nursing with registration route because it is shorter and you have a job waiting for you on graduation.

Hi guys, I'm looking for a shared apartment anywhere in the west midlands within a 200-300 budget. house hunting is exhausting and time is running out on my end. anyone have any recommendations or direct links(yes i'm looking on all the rental sites like sparerooms, zoopla and co)

Where exactly is your school located? If you are in Wolverhampton, you may want to have a walk around wheatmoreans. Dunkley Street, Sherwood Street etc. This area has student accommodation and you will see phone numbers and rooms advertised on the house windows.

You may also want to check African shops around you. They would normally know of any available rooms.

Goodluck.

Hi bro, I just got a conditional offer from Wolverhampton. And one of the conditions is that I provide am academic IELTS, can this be substituted with waec/Neco?

Also I saw in the mail that the deposit is 3k, would I be asked to balance up before starting classes ?
Thanks

The University of Wolverhampton accepts WAEC results less than 10 years old. If your WAEC is older than 10 years, you could get a letter from your place of work attesting to your English Language ability.

As for the tuition fee, you will be required to pay 50% of your tuition fee prior to completing your enrollment.
I hope this helps.

I think paying additional deposit to the school's account will contradict the amount paid mentioned on your CAS after you must have received CAS statement. This might inturn affect your VISA application as what is stated on your CAS is different to what you would be presenting. IMO

I don't think it would. His CAS hasn't been issued yet. He wouldn't even be issued a CAS without having the complete amount in his account. All he has to do is make the additional payment of 800k to the school and send them proof of payment.

Experts in the house,

I have a question to ask, the required amount expected in my POF 11,072,200 but I just have 10.2 in my POF which is already 23 days.

Can I inject like 800k plus today and hope it will not be a red flag and my CAS is due already

Instead of paying in the 800k to your account, you may want to pay it to your school instead. That way, the 10.2M in your account will suffice as you would have increased your initial tuition deposit.

My brother... Everyone's case is different. My friend and I got CAS in Teesside within 3 weeks .

Submitted statement 15 November got CAS 8 December.

So don't follow popular opinion as you may be missing a very good thing.

Follow your heart and pray God favours you.

I believe this is an exception rather than the norm. My sister-in-law submitted her questionnaire and proof of funds on the 28th of October. She was asked for an updated statement 5 weeks later. She finally got her CAS on the 17th of December. This is after series of chats and emails to enrollment advisors we were clueless. I would never recommend this University to anyone. The process was so exhausting.

1. I don't use perfumes
2. I don't ever use mosquito coils or insecticides
3. I don't use drugs that contain sulphurnamides( spelling??)
4. I avoid dusty environments.
