Anyway, it just takes an aluminium roofing company to setup shop in a location.
People start buying the roofing sheets
and the brown roof saga is ended.

Love800:
Who is responsible for the recycling?

And what do you mean by "recycling" in this context?
Hmm. This one is hard as it plays DIRECTLY into our culture and psyche. What we (black Nigerians) value and how we (black Nigerians) treat our environment.
-
I was thinking about the Netherlands that has the best waste recycling system in the world.
I just researched a bit about how it was formed.
This is the summary:
The Dutch waste recycling system was not "set up" by one single entity at one time. It has evolved over decades through a combination of government policy driving sustainability goals and significant private sector investment and innovation in collection, sorting, and reprocessing technologies. The government sets the rules and ensures basic service delivery (often via municipalities), while the private sector provides the operational backbone, technology, and end-market for recycled materials, often under the framework of EPR. This collaboration is key to its success

So applying this to Nigeria,
we just have to STOP SHITTING UP AND DOWN THE PLACE LIKE DIRTY PEOPLE!!!!

In as much as I commend such move by the Great Óbá of Benin, It would have been more appreciated if the Oba can use same authority to ban market women, land owners, transporters extortion.

That will go a long way. Since many governors are too dumb to make the move, the Great Óbá of Benin should lead.
Who is in charge of the people ?
Governor or Oba?
People cannot be having multiple masters.

What I've always found curious is why nigeriam companies hardly declare the salary offer with the job posting.

Is it that they're not proud of their offer?
You have to understand that Nigeria is a 3rd world country and as such, we are NOT ALLOWED to do the samn things that 1st world / Western countries do. If not, the world economy will break down and the earth will explode.
Imagine 1 Naira = 1200 $
Just think how ANGRY AND MURDEROUS all the entire Western world will be .
-
So in this part of the world, like catfish that eat MUD from the bottom of the pond, we just can't be posting salary in job advert.

Thank God you posted this on a thread where there are people degrading your fellow skin color person in a foreign land. Now look at the same Dangote Refinery, there are the same Indians that are the ones terrorizing Nigerians in their own country. hope you are happy about it shall.
Of course I'm not happy about that.

I don't see any race superior or inferior to any other race, because when I die, I'm not going to stand in front of God on judgement day and and tell him, "eh! Is because you made me black". No that is NOT an a excuse for anything.
-
What we simply have is a system of decision making and opportunities. Burkina Faso, Nigeria, is there to bear witness. Same black people. But ONE brave intelligent person just takes over government and everyone is thriving for it.
We Nigerians can be here bash ourselves. One brave person (even a dictator) will take over power and bring a out justice... The same us, Nigerians will start jubilating with each other as if there was never any problem before.
-
See the terror of Genocide in Rwanda. Now, with one brave leader, they are jubilating there as if it is London. Same black people vs black people.

There's no how you will be developing a city, with people living there...
eating and shitting up and down...
They are going to produce waste, and if you don't start recycling,...
your waste systems will get overloaded and the whole place
will become a mess.

In 2025 ...lagos and sw people are still showing hate towards SE and saying they will not be allowed to vote their candidate. And they wanna compare themselves with the white man
Look we have to face the truth here.
All societies have different ways they were formed.
White man is NOT 1 person.
There's many societies we call as White Man.
The easiest one to understand is USA because that happened in the last 400 years.
The simple and SOLE mission of Whitemen in US was to escape from TAX and authoritarian rule in Europe/UK.
So they all had SIMILAR purpose and goal in USA... Kill all the native americans and establish their society based on
capital economics and democracy... NO MORE KING/QUEEN. Just hustle and survice.
Everybody carry gun for protect yourselves.
-
That's how their nation works. And they are patriotic to it.
-
Our own Nigeria is 2000% different.
Till this very second, EVERYBODY here In Nigeria HAS STILL NOT AGREED to form this Nation Nigeria.
It is VERY CLEAR from Eastern people that they want OUT.
It is very clear from Northern Muslim people that they want OUT.
Then the rest of minority tribes are just IGNORED, OVERLOOKED as NONSENSE....? While the oil is in Niger Delta...
Niger Delta people will just BURN ALL the pipe and say "F**k you" to everybody...
We don't have nation. Just forceful collection of people using one Naira currency
That's why things are not working.

Your Dad is 85.
At that age his sight might not be too good and he has many important things on his mind.
Don't stress him any android/iOS that are guaranteed to come with apps eg: Phoenix Browser that will be sending 200+ USELESS notifications, disturbing his peace, consuming useless data...for useless apps.
All these phones are for young, tech crazy adults. Not elderly cool collected men.
Where is he going?
Who is he posing for?
If he can't think of a phone himself, he is definitely not technology crazy. He wants peace of mind .

Get him simple phone..Nokia 3310 or some other flip phone with Whatsapp installed.

If your money is too much and you want to spend, buy him a BOAT.
Let him paddle/sail around somewhere and spend his time away from Noise..

So men can't function as they should.
Either they earn money at great sweat, become megalomaniacs and be beating the woman in the house.
Or
They can't earn anything, or be sharing with wife, their prick will shrink down,...they come online and be crying on Monday morning or looking for underaged side chick to satisfy their ego tendencies.

most times people talk about Starlink as if it's perfect. It makes me laugh. Secondly about Fibre, let's even talk about MTN Fibre X as an example, it's serving and up most of the time. I know what i went through when there was fibre cuts in my area. It took 'em about 3 weeks to fix it. The disadvantage is people digging the roads at will. In Nigeria, no ISP is perfect. We just dey manage them
3 Weeks?
I'm using ipNX 3 months now, no internet.

Car TalkRe: Why Do Some Engines Consume Too Much Fuel After A Few Years? by uuzba(m): 7:08pm On Sep 21, 2025
These are pistons and rings in the engine bore. This is what powers your engine.
The fuel explodes inside here and pushes the piston down.
The down force is converted to rotation at the crankshaft and that's how your engine rolls.
-
When you buy the car new, the piston and the engine bore are tight.
Any fuel explosion is captured inside fully and transmitted to the piston motion.
As the car gets older, the engine bore expands due to wear and tear. Remember the piston
has passed up and down. 100, billion times since the car was new. So there's NO WAY the engine bore will
remain the same size. It will get BIGGER.
And once it is bigger, the piston will be LOOSE. There will be gaps.
The fuel explosion will not be captured fully again.
Some power will pass through the free gaps.
You will need to press the throttle MORE, for MORE FUEL to give BIGGER explosions just to get SAME power
you used to get with less fuel when the engine was new.
-
You can change the rings on the piston during the life time of the car.
In the olden days Peugeot 504, You could even change the SLEEVE that lines the Engine bore.
Just to make it TIGHT again and gain back some engine power.
But car manufacturers saw that people were TOO SMART, always changing sleeve and rings in stead of buying ANOTHER NEW CAR.
So the couldn't remove piston rings.
But the REMOVED engine block SLEEVES.
-
So now the Engine bore just continues to expand till it finally become too big for any engine power.
At that point the engine is guzzling up engine oil like mad, and wasting petrol as well.
No matter how much they sweared for you, you will be forced to change the complete engine of just dump the car for another newer one.
-
In Formula 1 Racing cars, the piston and engine bore IS SO TIGHT that there's no Kickstarter they can fix in the car to even start the engine.
Their engines has to be started with giant electric drill machine from outside. And once they start, the driver drives it throughout the race (All the above I mentioned, happens rapidly in that race) till the engine bore expands and is condemned at the end of the race. They have to build another engine for another race every time.

nurez305:
Your router isn’t the problem, it is Airtel’s network in your area. I have been using Airtel since last year and it used to be very stable, but starting last week their terrible network issues hit my street. Since then, I have not been able to use it like before. The highest speed I get now is around 100 Kbps, which is basically unusable, and even that only lasts for about two minutes before it drops completely for 10 minutes or more.

I have sent several complaints to them on Twitter and have seen similar comments from other people in my area. They only promised to send an engineer to check the area, but nothing has been done so far.

At this point, the only solution is to stop subscribing to their network until they fully restore their service. Many people are saying that both Airtel and MTN shut down several masts nationwide to cut costs, which is why their service has suddenly gotten worse.

Does anyone know how I can get Glo Unlimited? I need to switch as soon as possible.
Indiscipline on the roads is what is causing this. Fibre cables are laid for parts of and ISPs Network. But due to bad planning, people start digging for construction of whatever, and there's nobody to issue a digging permit.
So they just dig and damage a fiber cable.
I use IPNX, which is fibre connected all the way to my office. And for 3 months now it has been ZERO. Customer service can't even say a resolution time.
One person CONFESSED to me that there's so much cut cable left and right, the company is spending a lot repairing cables. People are just digging and cutting cable anyhow.

It's very disturbing that every talented Nigerian dreams of leaving this country to work elsewhere. No country ever grows like that.

BTW, Qatar can never consider a Nigerian working in their country an expatriate. They call you an immigrant. The difference lies in where you come from and the opportunity your country offers you.
Our Entire Education is UNWELCOMED by the political class.
So the more educated you are the more frustrated you're made to feel.

Educated people don't like going into politics
Politicians don't like getting educated.
