Third, GEJ went ahead to marginalize Yorubas for reasons best known to him. Appointments meant for Yorubas were shared between the 2 other tribes. GEJ was going to annihilate Yorubas politically.

In 2015, Yorubas would have committed political suicide by supporting GEJ for a second term. No regrets booting him out!
Had GEJ won a second term, where would that have left us, Yorubas He would have handed over to a northerner with a non Yoruba as VP. And the marginalization would have continued. Currently, we are nos 2 and 4. Would we be in these positions if GEJ had won in 2015

Lest I forget, 2023 is quite far away. A lot can and will happen between now and then. May God spare us. Nobody ever thought GEJ could emerge president the way he did. Osinbajo is no ordinary fellow...

We Yorubas have been able to defeat northerners with the support of other northerners, time and again. Abiola did, Obasanjo did, Gbajabiamila did (lost by only 8 votes at first attempt), Fayemi did (he beat El Rufai to NGF chairmanship) etc etc

This case made me realize many Nigerians lack empathy. The ability to put yourself in the shoes of the abused. Do you know what it means to be raped? To be sexually assaulted by the one person who's supposed to protect you?

In saner societies the police would have promptly started investigations with helplines created to persuade more people to come forward.
For those saying there was consent:
Sleeping with a 17yr old girl is rape even if she says yes. This is because she lacks the legal capacity to give you consent.
Even in the United States, the only way a man 18 and above can sleep with a girl of 17 is if they started dating when he was also underaged. That relationship is protected under the Romeo and Juliet Laws.

Under some instances, a girl under 18 can be married...
