How much is the transmission fee? What if I cannot find my yellow biometrics slip anymore? Will this cause any hindrance in submitting my passport for stamping? I hope that in person collection of passports is allowed at the VFS office in Abuja?

Greetings @Emmafe Please if I am submitting my passport and that of my family in person at the Abuja VFS office what do I need to go along with, how much will I be required to pay, Can I pay those fees in person at the VFS office or do I need to pay them prior to my visit? what forms do I need to complete? I had my biometrics sometime in 2017 and cannot seem to find my biometric slip anymore.. is the biometric slip mandatory? If yes, is there a way out for people that cannot find their slip any more?

I applied with my family (Wife and son). Below is our timeline:

Application Date: 23rd February 2020
Request to upload updated/new passport: 22nd June 2023
Correspondence Letter: 23rd June 2023
Tracker was updated on the 23rd June 2023 with visa number and validity
PPR: 5th July 2023

For everyone still waiting for PPR, it will surely come through soon.

I have just booked appointment for passport submission in Abuja and the earliest date I got is on Friday 21st of July 2023. I hope I will be able to make all payments there in person?

I presume the kids are here with you. You will only qualify if you are a wife or sibling of a citizen or PR holder.

You can go ahead and send in your application for visa renewal. As a father to a Canadian citizen, you qualify for exemption and can travel.

You need to go to your bank and print out the statement and then have it stamped. Online print out will not be accepted

They are actually two different things.

Non verbal refers to a non verbal communication like facial expression or sign language while a Letter of Note Verbale refers to a diplomatic note that is more formal than an aide-mémoire and less formal than a note, is drafted in the third person, and is never signed. It is usually issued to Government officials for travel purposes. Most times it is issued in place of a visa for official travel only

I am sure your mate can submit his passport in the UK. It will be accepted and stamped at any Canadian Embassy around the world so far his TRV was approved and they have requested for his passport

I think your number 1 response is quite misleading. Getting a visa for vacation/tourist purpose is actually very easy. It becomes more completed and difficult when you start using conferences and exploratory purposes. The western world recognizes the need for vacation at least once every year. So after working hard for the whole year, it is very necessary to take some time off and relax yourself and most times, you may wish to travel very far to somewhere you have not even been before to experience new things.

So my advise is that the person should proceed with tourist/vacation visa. Package yourself very well and ensure you have booked your hotel and also state clearly your itinerary while in Canada.

My suggestions to the 4 questions;

1. Canada dont usually buy holidays stories considering the distance that doesn't mean people dont get it when they state vacation as reason for trip but success rate is low. I will advice you look for a conference relevant to your current employment.

2. Your chances of getting the visa is 97% not because of plenty other countries you've been to but because you've been to Canada before and spent just 10days. Perfect record

3. Leaving family behind serves as a strong tie. Regarding how much you would need, just make sure it is in excess of what you will need for the trip. Avoid lump deposit

4. Currently average processing time is 234 days so apply now.

I think she should submit it to the one in same town where she applied from. Abuja or Lagos mostly. But you can email the VFS for further information. What kind of visa did your mum apply for?

Funnily I didn't even have access to my application.... I got a job with the influence of my sister who is a PR in Canada... And my employer engaged the services of an immegration consultant and the process started from April, 2019 till March 10th 2020, ... covid delay passport return till yesterday. .. but the process of interview and LMIA is very tedious... I wouldn't advice anybody to walk dat route I had patience because age and IELTS average score can't allow me go through express entry or school. And it's my sister so I kept on following as the process kept on crawling like snail.. but .. Am grateful to God immensely

Boss, I regret to hear that your visa was delayed by the immigration officers of Canada. If you would listen to me and save yourself the stress of rewriting an LOE about your intent to pursue a diploma program which doesn't hold water. I would advice that you should simply apply for a PGD program that is relevant to your current work experience. In your next attempt, explain to the visa officer how you have strategically address their concerns and as a matter of fact your situation has changed with a PGD admisson on file instead of an ordinary diploma.

I think there's a website where you can apply and get the GCMS within 14 days or so. Is this your first time of applying to Canada?
