Good Morning people, didn't sleep well as things got a bit tense lastnight. Hopefully, i'll find a way of getting to owerri today, by His grace. . I want to thank all those who've been updating us.

Some of the locals here are helping the army with possible locations of these kidnappers, a sweep was done on one of the hideouts lastnight but yielded nothing. We are still hopeful.

So far so good, all seems to be relatively calm now, bar the 1 in 15mins gunshots i keep hearing.

The Nigerian Police are a huge disgrace. . not one of em is even on ground to coordinate the rescue mission, sometimes i wonder why they even exist. It's all in the hands of the army now.

You could almost smell panic everywhere you turn. I'm stuck in the room, emailing family & friends, updating NL. I can hear the neighbor crying, don't really know his story.

Update!

There's been sporadic shooting around some of the environs, the place is more like a ghost-town now. . only blaring sirens and a couple army officers can be seen moving around from where i am right now. Jesus    i just came here to see an ill friend, almost everything's grounded.

These so-called kidnappers are being sponspored by some big-shots. It's about time the gov't did something about this.
