Wonder why almost all father's back then were harsh on their kids  undecided

My dad was pretty strict and we weren't allowed outside the house once we came back from school or anytime he's around. I had a crush on my neighbor's daughter and somehow. .the news got to him that i was seen sneaking in and out of their house (i only went there to watch cartoons, cuz we didn't have no TV back then & maybe stare at her a bit sad)

Food that fell to the ground , we weren't allowed to pick. . as we were told it belonged to the devil  sad

We only had ice-cream whenever he ain't around. .

I missed the Spurs v Arsenal game last night and before finding out the score I thought I'd purchase one of the commemorative DVDs that Spurs sell on their website. I searched the whole website but couldn't find it and it's not available on Amazon or Play.com either. I think Spurs missed a trick on this one.

Carling Cup
Liverpool vs Northampton
Venue: Anfield
Kick-off: 7:45pm

Liverpool
Liverpool will send out a much-changed team when they play host to Northampton, the lowest ranked side left in the Carling Cup. The Reds have also stuttered through the early stages of the season under new manager Roy Hodgson, with only one win from five, and are currently perched just one point above the relegation zone in the fledgling Premier League table.

Compared to Sunday, I’d say there’s slightly different expectations in the build-up to tomorrow’s match.

Not for the result, mind you—I think Liverpool need a win here, not just for progression in the competition, but for furthering (or creating) a feeling that things are moving in the right direction.

The atmosphere around the League Cup in recent years has steadily declined, despite being told that “it’s back” any number of ways and any number of times

The two teams have only met three times in their history, twice in the league 45 years ago and once in the FA Cup eight years prior to that, with the Reds romping to 3-1 and 5-0 victories on home soil.

Northampton
The League Two outfit earned their place in the third round and secured a dream trip to Anfield after victories over Brighton and Reading.

Despite their cup heroics, the Cobblers have been less than impressive in league action, with just one win to date from their seven fixtures.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)League Cup: Scunthorpe Vs Manchester United [2 - 5] On 22nd Sept 2010 by v3(op): 12:19pm On Sep 22, 2010
Carling Cup
Scunthorpe FC vs Manchester United
Venue: Glanford Park
Time: 7:45pm

The Iron lost to United's local rivals City in both cup competitions last season and will hope for better fortune against Sir Alex Ferguson's much-changed side.

Ian Baraclough is continuing to mull over the chance to succeed Nigel Adkins and will hope the performance will justify the club's decision to offer him the manager's job.

Optimism is high at the Championship club that a shock is in store, with United having been knocked out by the likes of Coventry City and Southend United in recent seasons.

However, the Red Devils have won the Carling Cup for the past two seasons and Ferguson will not dismiss the threat of Scunthorpe lightly.

Manchester United
The Red Devils will take a largely youthful side to Glanford Park, but there is still expected to be a smattering of experience on show.

Michael Owen is likely to start up front, Tomasz Kuszczak will be in goal and there could also be an appearance for Rio Ferdinand after he missed Sunday's win over Liverpool with a virus.

Surprise summer signing Bebe will feature at some stage, while Italian striker Federico Macheda is set to partner Owen in attack.

Anderson is expected to start his first game since February and there could also be run-outs for the likes of Darron Gibson, Chris Smalling, Ritchie de Laet and Rafael.

Scunthorpe
Scunthorpe caretaker manager Baraclough has no fresh injury worries ahead of the game as his team look to build on wins over Oldham Athletic and Sheffield Wednesday in the previous two rounds.

Centre-back Rob Jones is fit again after a knee injury, but was forced to settle for a place on the bench at Swansea on Saturday.

He is likely to be named among the substitutes again, which would mean Niall Canavan keeping his place at the heart of the Iron defence.

Winger Garry Thompson remains sidelined with a groin injury and on-loan Brighton left-back Jim McNulty is also expected to miss out again with an ankle problem.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)League Cup: Chelsea Vs Newcastle [3 - 4] On 22nd Sept 2010 by v3(op): 11:59am On Sep 22, 2010
Chelsea vs Newcastle United (Carling Cup)
Date: 22nd Sept 2010, Kick-Off: 19:45
Venue: Stamford Bridge

Chelsea FC
Carlo Ancelotti has said he will use several youngsters for Wednesday's Carling Cup tie.The manager confirmed four of his emerging talents - Jeffrey Bruma, Gael Kakuta, Daniel Sturridge - will start against the Magpies as he rests a number of his established names with big Premier League and European tests to come over the next two weeks.
While the young lads will want to take their opportunity for a run out, others will be making the most of a night off. Ancelotti has confirmed Ross Turnbull will replace Petr Cech in goal, while Ashley Cole, John Mikel Obi, Michael Essien and Didier Drogba will all be rested.

Carling Cup as a competition has always been marked as a low-key affair as teams especially Premiership teams not giving much importance to this format.

Premier League Champions face Championship winners at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night in the Carling Cup third round tie.

Newcastle
The Magpies have gone out at the third-round stage in the previous three seasons, losing to Arsenal, Tottenham and Peterborough. They have won three of their last six league and cup games this season.

Andy Caroll has been impressive so far for the magpies, getting on the scoresheet and helping the team. Let's not forget new boy Ben-Arfa

Chelsea are not even the team that everyone wants to meet at the moment, a draw would be an achievement for most opposing teams especially at Stamford Bridge in the PL.

Probable Line-ups:
Chelsea (4-3-3): Turnbull; Ferriera, Terry, Jeffrey Bruma, Yuri Zhirkov; Ramires, Gael Kakuta, Josh McEachran, Yossi Benayoun, Daniel Sturridge, Anelka

Newcastle (4-4-2): Krul; Sol Campbell, Jose Enrique, Perch, Coloccini; Gutierrez, Wayne Routledge, Tiote, Smith; Ameobi, Xisco

Wilshere. .Wilshere. . Wilshere

This kid is REALLY growing with each game and it sorta reminds me how FAB made an impact when he had his first team chance. He's got skill, a bit hard on the tackles and lacks pace but he's just 17+
Rozzy is still feeling the sting from losing the penayity against Sunderland. WAKE UP! angry
The way Nasri guards the ball makes it difficult for defenders to avoid committing fouls.
Fabianski? I feel he could've stopped Keane's shot from going in cuz he did narrow the angle.

I hope Gibb's injury isn't too bad. . as he's been MAJOR in the matches he's played.
I wonder why JET didn't get the nod ahead of Chamakh lastnight. At least when Chamakh doesn't score, he gets us a penayity  grin grin

Was Gibbs onside or offside? huh
We had a good penayity call and he ingored it  huh
Match officials need to shine their eyes with some alomo before big games.
