The Senate of the Federal University, Ndufu-Alike Ikwo, has held its inaugural session and approved that academic activities should commence in the institution from the 15th of September, 2012.
The University Senate also pegged institutional fees and charges at between sixty and sixty-two thousand naira per session.

In line with the procedure for admissions into undergraduate degree programmes, the University has scheduled its 2012/2013 post-UTME screening tests for Wednesday, 11th and Thursday, 12th July, 2012.

Wednesday, July 11th, 2012:

All candidates for the following Social Science courses:

Economics, Business Administration, Geography, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy and Geography.
