I took a tour of Nigeria Constitution, and found out that the word "integrity" appeared only five (5) times in the Constitution. What an appalling reference.

As indicated above, in the consolidated text of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended), the word "integrity" appears exactly 5 times.

It is used in three distinct contexts across the document:

1. National Ethics and Principles
Section 23: It defines the official national ethical pillars: "The national ethics shall be Discipline, Integrity, Dignity of Labour, Social Justice, Religious Tolerance, Self-reliance and Patriotism."

2. State Policy and Judiciary (Section 17(2)(e): Under the Fundamental Objectives and Directive Principles of State Policy, it protects the justice system:"The independence, impartiality and integrity of courts of law, and easy accessibility thereto shall be secured and maintained."

3. "Unquestionable Integrity"
Criteria for Appointments
The phrase "[b]unquestionable integrity" is used twice as a strict qualification for panel members and specific judicial appointments: Section 143

4. Requires the Chief Justice of Nigeria to appoint a 7-person panel of "unquestionable integrity" to investigate allegations of misconduct against the President or Vice-President.Section 188(5): Requires a similar 7-person panel of "unquestionable integrity" to investigate allegations against a State Governor or Deputy Governor.

5. Territorial Defense. Section 217(2)(a): Establishes the constitutional mandate of the Armed Forces to defend the country's physical boundaries: "defending Nigeria from external aggression and maintaining its territorial integrity and securing its borders from violation on land, sea or air;".

So noone should be surprised that the President of Nigeria lacks integrity. A man of integrity would have admitted to Nigerians the whereabouts of his Primary and Secondary schools.

Destroyed the middle class, created multidimensional poverty. Threw Nigeria into becoming world capital of poverty, worse than Somalia and war-torn Ukraine.

Now, he is at dagger-drawn wanting to come back. To do what exactly?

If Atiku refuses to see reasons to step-down, Nigerians should let ADC lose woefully.
