Did I hear some people say 'the FG is no longer being run with oil money, the "Niger-Delta boys can do their worse".

By the time gas pipelines begin to go up in flame, the impeachment might spread to Federal seat of power. Ijaws are in Rivers, Bayelsa, Edo, Delta and Ondo. These are the host communities for 85% of Nigeria's revenue sources.

Please, nobody should call Rivers State government. The policing of pipelines and gas lines are exclude preserve of the Nigerian security forces.

richmond500:
If you think Obi didn't work for Tinubu, then you are probably smoking some dried plants.
Obi had a 80% chance of becoming Vice president if he aligns with Atiku cos they would have swept both the north and SE.
Obi knew this but he had to make sure Tinubu wins by splitting that chance which will give Tinubu an edge. That was the same reason he never showed any seriousness, he was only aligning with comedians and movie actors and no single politician that could command lots of votes.

Now El-Rufai is doing same thing for Tinubu by dividing northern votes, he knew he could unseat PBAT if he aligns with Atiku but he chose to join SDP.
With Obi in LP
El-Rufai in SDP
Atiku in PDP
Wike in FCT/South south Zone, 2027 is sure for Tinubu
Stop fuuuling yourselves. Obi left PDP because of Wike's incessant threats and Atiku's overbearing influence when presidency was the turn of the South. All of you hallucinating about 2027 will be shamed when emilokan is booted out.

Labour Party Opposes Move To Strike Out Suit Over Defection, As 27 Rivers Assembly Cites Supreme Court Judgment

The Federal High Court in Port Harcourt has adjourned the suit filed by the Labour Party against the Rivers State House of Assembly (RSHA) and 30 others to Monday, March 17, 2025, for the hearing of a motion seeking to strike out the case.

"At the resumed hearing of Suit No: FHC/PH/25/2024 on March 11, 2025, K.C.O. Njemanze, SAN, counsel for the Rivers State House of Assembly, informed the court of a motion filed on March 10, 2025, urging the court to strike out the suit in light of the Supreme Court’s ruling on February 28, 2025. Njemanze argued that the apex court had already determined all issues raised in the case and that, under Section 287(1) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), the Federal High Court was bound to comply with the Supreme Court’s decision."

"However, Clifford N Chuku Esq., counsel for the Labour Party, opposed the motion, stating that he had filed a reply that morning on points of law to contest the motion to strike out the case. He asserted that the facts surrounding the Supreme Court’s ruling were distinguishable from the subject of the current suit, which centers on the defection of 27 lawmakers from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Chuku further emphasized that the Federal High Court, under Section 272(3) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), has exclusive jurisdiction to determine issues of defection involving House of Assembly members.

While Njemanze, SAN, urged the court to first hear the motion to strike out the suit, Clifford N Chuku Esq., argued that, in the interest of fair hearing, all pending matters should be taken together before judgment is delivered. He contended that hearing the motion separately could lead to a denial of justice."

"In a bench ruling, Justice E.A. Obile of the Federal High Court (Court 2), Port Harcourt Judicial Division, decided that the court would first hear the motion on notice before considering the substantive case. Consequently, upon agreement of both parties, the matter was adjourned to Monday, March 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM for the hearing of the motion."
More trouble for troublers of Rivers.

DO NOT FOLLOW ELRUFAI TO JOURNEY TO NO DESTINATION
Former Jigawa State Governor and key PDP figure, Alhaji Sule Lamido, has responded to former Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, over his invitation for politicians to join the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

Last week, El-Rufai announced his defection from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to SDP.

In a special interview, El-Rufai—without mentioning Lamido by name—called on opposition leaders, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Rotimi Amaechi, Rauf Aregbesola, and others, to follow him to SDP.

However, Sule Lamido strongly criticized the invitation, arguing that El-Rufai lacks the political ideology and commitment to national development needed to make such a call.

“Honestly, without disrespect, how does he expect us in PDP to follow him to another party? The PDP is the party that made him who he is,” Lamido stated in an interview with BBC.

Comparing the situation to family lineage, Lamido added, “How can a grandson claim that his grandfather knows nothing?”

Lamido recalled that El-Rufai once dismissed the influence of political elders in Nigeria, claiming that he and his allies were the real power brokers when he was governor.

“But now, he says he advised Buhari on his next steps. If he truly believes Buhari’s instructions are irrelevant, why did he seek his approval before leaving APC?” Lamido remarked.
Politics › PDP Crisis: Expel Wike And G5 Now by Validated(op): 1:01pm On Mar 16, 2025
If the PDP is serious about 2027, these are three things they should do NOW:

1. Expel Wike and the G5 governors, including Makinde and let him and co-travelers do worse. Their anti-party stance would scottle any plan towards 2027. If they secure their mid-night court judgement as usual, all PDP governors and leaders should leave the party for them

2. Commnce serious discussion with Peter Obi to run under the party as presidential candidate in 2027, with s strong Northern candidate. Also, seek audience with Kwankwaso of NNPP. A united PDP is the only political vehicle to dislodge the APC

3. Prevail on Atiku to step aside so that a Southern candidate like Peter Obi can steer the party to victory. The Elrufa SDP janglover should be taken with a pinch of salt. The SDP looks like a red- herring by Tinubu and APC to distract opposition.

This is my one cent position. If ElRufai is serious about ousting Tinubu in 2027, he should realign with PDP and not creating another division within the opposition camp. Only PDP has the structure in 774 local government and over 9000 wards and village political groups in Nigeria. No party can create such in 2 years as ElRufai is proposing.
