My position is as follows:

1. FG should hands off VAT and/or sales tax. States should determine rate, administer VAT.
Pay FG 5% of VAT collected. This is best practice WIRLDWIDE.

2. Essentials and food were never subject to VAT, FIRS was being dubious with that claim.

3. 15% VAT in a developing economy is killing and should be resisted. Max of 10% by 2035 through gradual increase.

4. Since VAT is a consumption tax, there is need to gradually increase salaries by 100% over the next 10 years, that way, the impact on citizen is lessen

5. Derivation should be at the FINAL point of consumption, hence VATable transactions should be ONLY retails invoices.

6. No level of government can claim capacity to streamline taxes and levies, except by enactment. LG levies and others will still happen. Oyedele should be open on that and stop being truthful by half.

7. Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT) should be included in the new Tax Reform Bills and be 100% derivation and allw states to pay 40% to FG. Same should apply to other mineral deposits and exploitation.

8. Minimum tax on loss making businesses should be expunged from the law. Rather, government should create incentives to help loss making businesses.

9. Eliminate development levies, and graduate Corporate tax as follows:
- Manufacturers: 27.5%
- Telecomms: 40%
- Banks and financial institutions: 35%
- General Services: 30%
- Hotels and Entertainment: 33%
- Infotainment (Musicians, Bloggers, YouTubers, Actors): 35%

10. Eliminate stamp duties, it is SIMPLY FRAUDULENT government double taxation. Stamp duties should only apply to SECURITY and ESTATE affairs.

Courts have no power to determine if a party has division, neither is a member able to, only the NWC can do that. As long as NWC is intact, division CANNOT be established.
