upko: Waste of precious petrol and time. This weak attempt at show of force can’t fly. If they can’t gather intelligence underground and work closely with locals to go after these militants then they should all go back to their respective houses and barracks. See that animal smashing the mobile phone of a civilian, at a time when they ought to be building civil-military relationship. Posturing themselves like an occupying force. The problem is how can they work with local when they have been kidnapping and killing them and some killed and framed as ugm...? The locals see them as an invading force that deserved to be eliminated and nothing less..!! Lots of work need be done but are they smart enough to do it...? That's a million dollar question..!! |

Sizzorkay: Not much to negotiate over, what Nigeria need is to give a great deal of Autonomy to it's states, and that could do it. And while they get that autonomy, let them start having their own economies without the FG sharing money with any state unless if aid is required. Nigeria can never allow Ibos to secede , they do that, and that's the beginning of the end, Yorubas will follow and others, then of course there will be no more nigeria, now what would happen to other ethnic groups within those breakaway regions? What if they also want to go their own way? Then you will have over 50 countries carved out of the present day Nigeria, and the large ethnic groups in the new country most likely won't allow it, then you have civil wars all over the place. Good luck with that. So because of the fear of Nigeria breaking into 50 nations we should all bound together and be killed like fowl everyday...? Haba e no make sense nah...as long as there is peace and progress and no blood is further shed for nothing...Nigeria can as well split into even 100 nations...You forgot that people are already tired of this union...forget others keeping quiet..once all is set everybody would find his or her level..the glue holding Nigeria is already expired and that is the bitter truth unfortunately and I dont think anything can salvage it...The only maybe close thing that can still bring people together is to create their different nations, self governing and only agree to a union for old time sake, that way nobody can lord it over anybody, all would progress at there own pace and any who is tired of the union can simply back out without any shouting match....!! It so so unfortunate to see us come to this level but what can any do? We are all waiting to see how the situation pan out...!! |

JOSCOFELIX: if you are living in the east part of Nigeria especially the south east , please from this evening mark your movement, because intel reaching me stated that heavy military reinforcement from both army airforce, navy civil defence police special force, counter terrorism unit have be deployed since yesterday. and open confrontation between the Nigerian security and esn of ipon may blow hot. the nigeria air force personal have vowed with their life the revenge the death of the personal in imo. attack helicopter may move within this day . stay home to avoid story that touch the heart. and for the ipob on this thread guerrilla warfare do not pay, when they is a full concentration of national security force in the east both the innocent and non Innocent will suffer for it. fighting , attacking security personal with make them more hard. once a someone join the nigeria military they behave like one, thye love themselves. the attack coming from the military may lead to a full blow war. let us watch War come and go and people would still remain...with the current situation in the country I don't think any average Nigerian is afraid of war any longer..we all have been in a state of war for the past 6 years not even talking about those in the NE...!! Fact remains the Nigerian army can never I repeat can never win this war...anybody here can bring insult...The Americans with all their mighty had to leave Afghanistan and pursuing dialogue..but the dumbo we have here in the govt and army thought they can win against the masses...they should do a test run of military against the population and they would learn a very bitter lesson....!! As far as this country is now...nobody cares for anybody once the chips are down all.those who contributed to making this crises would hop on the next available aircraft and run away....!! The war is simply between the oppressed and the oppressors and the army should know that quickly or else they would end up as the burnt offering....!! |

Politics › Re: Why The Nigerian Army And Government Should Tread With Caution In Imo State by Valkrie: 10:53am On May 29, 2021 |
YouWillNotWin: The first thing we should know is that the Nigerian Army is very good at turning an infraction into full blown chaos just as they did with Boko Haram. The Nigerian government is even worse, they think in their primitive black brains that all infractions and protests must be met with fire for fire whether peaceful or not. We all know what is going on in Owerri with the abduction and wasting of young men and women by the Nigerian Army. It is going to attract a massive backlash that these soldiers will come to regret for all eternity.
Now, the reason for this article is that there are some juveniles, Islamic terrorists, ethnically bigoted losers and cowards on this forum who are recommending the bombing of cities and towns in the South East as this will teach Igbos a lesson. What these miscreants and frustrated losers do not understand is that we are in 2021 not 1967 when communication was limited, and people were ignorant. If this approach is used to attempt to subjugate the Igbos, these are the things that WILL ( NOT MAY ) happen; mark my word today being May 29th, 2021. You all will come back here to shed your crocodile tears when you become refugees and strangers in your own land.
These are the things that WILL happen when the cowardly and poorly trained Nigerian army start bombing and shelling towns and cities in the South East
1. The Nigerian government will lose the narrative as International attention will now focus on Nigeria
2. Just like during the worldwide black lives matter protests, there will be a huge and unstoppable global movement against the Nigerian Sahel government. It will happen don't argue .
3. There will be MUTINY in the army, first with the Igbos and then many christian soldiers; it will be a case of to your tents oh Israel
4. The Nigerian Army should get ready to fight wars on 3 fronts - against the East, ISWAP, and the Middle Belt.
5. Whereas you had only a few IPOB & ESN members fighting the army, millions of youth will now take arms to defend their father land and there will be a mass slaughter of Nigerian soldiers
6. Finally, the Nigerian government will collapse because ISWAP will take over Abuja and there will be a refugee crisis like no other
7. Soldiers and other uniformed personal will have nowhere to go back to after the war, because ISWAP would have overrun their own cities, towns, and villages. They will become prisoners of war in the South East and be used for hard labour
8. Yes, many Igbos will die but the Nigerian Army will fall once and for all.
If the USA had to withdraw from Iraq and AFGHANSITAN after almost 15 years of war and the loss of almost 20 thousand troops, who the hell is the Nigerian Army? This is exactly what the mumu people shouting and calling themselves patriot fail to understand...this is not 1967 and the nigeria army still keeping a colonial military training and mentality with no single innovation would capitulate...The Nigeria army fool all others against the igbo then...the reverse would be the case now....for iswap they would only end up north with their fulani brothers and can't take Abuja for sure...Abuja is for the gwaris and other minority middlebeltern tribe and in war situation they understand that be quiet is not cowardice...!! |
