Why should one even focus on FO again? Total, Mobil, Conoil, MRS are all struggling because NNPC is the sole importer of PMS. The only action that can save the day for them will be full deregulation which the FG is not prepared to do. Who could have thought that Guinness will be selling below N25 today?
Infact we should expect it lower in the nearest future, that is why in times like this a stock with 10% div yield or more,good/fair result, at or close to year low gives some kind of inner peace, the worst would be to chop,10 % for the, year,i dont think that is bad for a BAD year

CONOIL @ 15.25 TODAY. IS IT A GO BUY BASED ON DIVIDEND YIELD. BOUGHT SOME TODAY.
HOPE IT WILL FALLTO N14 PLUS TO CONTINUE BUYING NEXT WEEK
I dont think, there should be any reason for you to be scared of buying conoil at this price, infact to me it's a giveaway at this price,as long as its not the only stock in your portfolio.Just keep some cash for a little 'averaging down' incase the need arises.just like peterichy said, its highly unpredictable, but its unpredictable is more on the upside than the downside from this price.

I pray you get money.
The guys doing accumulation here are good at what they do.
I have taken time to understand what was going on here after BBM unmasked them.
There was a day they mistakenly pushed it to N14.75, then quietly returned it to N14 and closed it there.
They never made that mistake again after that price spike.

They now make sure they split their blocks to evade upward price movement. grin

It went to N14.3 today cos some guys observed what was going on and moved ahead and the volume at N14 has been exhausted for now... grin

The pattern of accumulation tells me there is a pending announcement before year end.
The signature is on the wall.... grin

NB: I may be very wrong. But the chart is courting Agba... grin
You are right prof ,infact the accumulation has actually being in batches, there was actually one around 13.50 and went on for a long time.they actually tried to keep it at that level, but natural forces of demand and supply prevailed.

Correct sir, q1 showing some improvement, revenue up by 7.1% ,PAT also up 5.9%,q2 likely to be a major determining factor.

Most cement companies have actually done well this year in terms of capital appreciation(except for Dangcem -reasons not far fetched).Even ccnn has moved from10+ to 17 just this year, though units slightly bloated now,the company is also not doing bad, with huge market dominance in African countries close to the northern region.
The amount of money pumped by the government into construction ,housing usually reflects/impacts on corresponding stocks on NSE, unlike agriculture where amount pumped into it hardly reflects on corresponding stocks, on NSE,if not livestock feeds, okomu, presco should be doing better than what we are seeing presently.

This year might actually be the "Cement year" grin

A very good company that went through a tough time in recent years.
They are back on good performance....
I have been waiting at N3.55 for weeks.....
The company actually went through a lot o,but it seem to be well structured now, with subsidiaries making good profit.
Picking some units at 3.90 would not be a bad idea, one can pick more when it get to that your junction(that's if it ever gets there).looking at its close year end, buying on a scale down would actually be better,so as not to miss out.
That your junction is just like waiting for zenithbank to get to 17 in january before buying

Vitafoam got patronage in the early trading hours. Their FYE is September.
In the last financial year, a dividend of 25k in addition with 1 for every 5 shares held was paid as dividend to shareholders.
Holders of vitafoam shares are among the shareholders in NSE......and not shellholders. grin

*NB: Not MH, just an observation. grin
Another juju stock, cant really predict what the management could do.it has been doing fairly well in recent times, supported with good numbers.Does not really have too much competitors in its sector.Has been consolidating well around 4.00,thousands lucky to pick some at 3.87.A good end of year result to send it to the skies.

Business is harsh at the moment for Total. It is the lubricant section of the business that is doing well in terms of profitability.

The group chairman has hinted about massive job loss should the poor performance of the downstream business continue to end of the year.

We are watching.

Its been hovering around 15.25 and 15.60 for weeks, even lower before the transient bull ,thats a cool 13% div yield.though illiquid, but as for me,it will always be part of my portfolio(at least the dividend class.)
Its been relatively consistent in div payment over year.i'll still stick to the fact that Dividends dont lie.

My sister the reason why people are offloading, is not far fetched.(partial profit taking),there was so much accumulation at 4.5.so people took that advantage(at least for a stock that paid 65k i guess),if you were opportuned to buy at 4.5 and sold at 8.4 thats a cool,86% ,haba , these does not happen often in bear markets, Abi na limping bull sef

Diversification most times invites Dissatisfaction.... grin grin grin
I dont think so sir, maybe you are referring to diworsefication.

I thinks there is nothing bad in sufficient diversification.,as long as you pick good stocks at bargain prices .
In a market like ours with so much uncertainties,i think sufficient diversification is appropriate.

Extreme concentration works more in advanced market, where you can beat your chest that a company would be around for several years with consistent div payment.(although, some still dissapoint- blackberry comes to mind),Most legendary investors never started with concentration, when their markets was still at the developmental stage, even the so called Warren Buffet.

Capital preservation is key and comes first, then profits can follow later.

Lets learn from our own,Oando actually looked promising then, but what is happening to it today,if only someone like ucheson had bought, about 5 -10 ,good stocks at bargain, instead of insisting on buying only oando at #21, am sure his cash would still have been preserved

You do not need a fundamental or technical analyst to tell you dt oando is not a sustainable business with Wale and Boyo @ the helms. The last pre forensic audit report was damning against the management of the company. Any result being released by oando in terms of profitability and Discounted cash flow might not be the true picture. Oando as a company is swimming in 4 quadrant debts.
However, with the political connection of Wale and Oando, they might get two to three major contracts from the FGN.
Already, they have been awarded a gas pipeline contract the detail of which is not too clear in terms of execution and implementation.
https://punchng.com/2-8bn-pipeline-contract-to-oando-firm-followed-due-process-nnpc/
Promising.... Yes the company is promising, for instance, A major oil and gas discovery was recently made in one of oando (20%)joint venture with NNPC(60%) NAOC(20%) OML61.
The company also won CRUDE FOR FUEL SWAP CONTRACT FROM THE NNPC.
Putting all these together
A patient investor with good risk appetite, and ready to tie money down can go ahead and mop OANDO @..@$0.01/Share. Or N3. 8
The irony of it, most people in government are busy mopping up OANDO shares on daily basis.
I am of the view that Wale is trying to prove public opinions wrong by systematically return Oando to profitability. How he is going to do it is what no one can say due to the wrought on the ground.

Profitability. 2019e 2020e
Operating Margin (EBIT / Sales)6,89% 8,21%
Operating Leverage (Delta EBIT / Delta Sales)-8,46x
Net Margin (Net Profit / Revenue) 0 0
ROE (Net Profit / Equities) 7,00% 6,00%
CONCLUSION.... A POTENTIAL DEBT THAT MIGHT TURN TO ASSET. ONLY FOR RISK TAKER,
BE READY TO HOLD OANDO FOR 10 YRS, BY THEN THE 4 QUADRANT DEBTS OF TODAY WOULD HAVE TURNED INTO A HUGE ASSETS.
You have said it all, Atimes ,Trouble is where the big fortune lies.

Being open minded when dealing with financial markets comes with great gain.
