Born2conquer:
So i’ve been trying to raise a duplex for a while now and to God be the glory, we’ve done it to the roofing part and we’ve fixed the door and windows.
We’ve spent close to 30M just to get to this level and i thought the amount we shoud spending for finishing (POP, tiles, Gate, compound interlock, kitchen fixing, smart house, painting, bathroom and bathroom equipment) shouldn’t be up to 5M.

But i got the shocker of my life when i got a Bill of 35M for the finishing!

Pleasee, are things that costly? Is finishing really that expensive?

I will be glad if i can get contributions before i run mad or abandon this project or sell it as distress

Budget:
Finishing (Tiles laying, Pop work, painting): 15M
Internal doors : 2.5M
Electrical work and automation: 7.5M
Plumbing (2nd stage): 2.2M
Fence work, Gate, staircase, floor stamping, balcony aluminium: 5.8M
Kitchen cabinet and appliances: 3.1M

This is well away and acceptable. Like already said, no plan is perfect. But to me, the way I reason, a toilet should not be inside a living room.

Myself I did not appreciate the idea of toilet in living room.

Wishing you a month filled with joy, prosperity, and new opportunities. May this new month bring you closer to all your goals and dreams. Cheers to a fantastic February ahead

Five important reason why paint is very important in your structure.

1.Protection: Painting the exterior of a house can protect it from the elements, such as rain, sun, and wind. This can prolong the life of the building and reduce the need for costly repairs.

2. Curb appeal: A fresh coat of paint can greatly enhance the appearance of a house, making it look more attractive and increasing its curb appeal.

3.Increase property value: A well-maintained and painted house can increase its value and make it more marketable if you decide to sell it.

4.Personalization: Painting the house allows you to customize the look and feel of your home, making it more reflective of your personal style and taste.

5.Preventing rot and pests: paint can help to prevent rot, mold, and pests from damaging the house, thus keeping it looking good and maintaining its integrity.

The cost of painting a house in Nigeria can vary widely depending on a number of factors, including the size of the house, the quality of the paint and labor, and whether or not the house is already primed. On average, a three-bedroom house can cost between NGN 150,000 to NGN 250,000 to paint, depending on the location. This cost can increase if the house requires extensive repairs or if high-end paint materials are used. The cost of labor can also vary depending on the location, with prices typically higher in more urban areas.

It's highly recommended to get a detailed quote from painters or contractors near your location to have an idea of the cost of the project.
