Which elites have exploited Nigeria? Is it not the same set of people you praise on here every day. Oga continue to praise them and leave Igboho to continue chasing shadows like IPOB. If Nigeria eventually disintegrates, a new set of elites will come in and continue from where these current set of greedy elites stopped.

Until Nigerians begin to hold it's politicians accountable nothing will change.
The whole of rhe SW couldn't stand up to T-pain for over 16 years.

Toh

You know, the secessionists should have made their regions to be more developed which will attract investors for more development, at least something to convince those who are skeptical about a new country, but unfortunately instead of development, all we are seeing is deteriorated situation.

Before bragging of having the latest designers, can we at least see your wardrobe
You're not getting the point bro, Nigeria has destroyed the hardworking regions, they even destroyed the hardwork of people like Peter Obi with the companies he set up for his state. That company would have been making huge profits if Nigeria was not a fiscal policy nightmare. Many companies set up with that state investment has closed up, many companies have left Nigeria. FX policy is in shambles because of Nigeria. It won't be so in Yoruba country, or Biafra.

Nigeria has spread the insecurity that started in the North to all regions, making it hard for any investments to survive, as company executives are targeted for kidnapping in many place, even in the centre of Lagos (Fouani brothers) Atteact which investors, those the bandits will kidnap?

You really don't get it.

Not just Yorubaland! Any honest assessment of where we have found ourselves as component parts or ethnicities of Nigeria will arrive at the same dire conclusion for ALL OF US!

The only parasitic schmucks still intent on preserving ‘one Nigeria’, either as is or as a unit in whatever form, are the hegemonic alliance that took over in the late 60s, and the political and *business (*those masquerading as entrepreneurs who owe their billions to their connections with gov’t or their ethnicity) elite from ALL ethnicities/regions!
Yes, from all ethnicities. I agree.

The sad thing here is that there are some deluded mofos who are actually convinced that their ethnicity is ‘benefiting’ from Nigeria because one of theirs is president!
Exactly, but if they have their own country, they will never allow such despicable characters to near a councilorship position. There are actually deluded people in every tribe.

Then we already defeated your arguments before it even started.

You can't even defend what you believe on by telling us how you intend to go about your new country in order to convince others.

As usual obsolete moves
Someone who is more concerned with how long it will take to recognise his international passport than stopping the invading bandits ready to kill and take over his land is not from such a land. Check yourself again.

What a revealing thread

Please you said I should engage with you about this topic not based on region but generalization.

So let's discuss, answer those questions if you want us to take you seriously about your agenda
All you listed above there are no obstacles. None at all. If they were, Serbia, South Sudan etc would be still not recognised.

Better fight for better life and freedom now, than have your children live through slavery imposed on you by your own corrupt people.

where would you start from? Who are your current allies?

How long do you think your new country would take to be recognized? How long do you think allowing the new country to trade internationally would take?

How about your country passport, how many years would it take for western countries to recognize it?

Your own currency, chai una go need to struggle because outside your new country, it will be useless like a tissue paper.

Don't even let us talk about the formation of a new country where the same greediness, pettiness amongst people still exist.

Yoruba land have been developed by the successive governors from the region.

The only exception is the current crop of governors in the region
Don't you think having a country of your own can reign in these current governors who have learnt how to hide under a godfather who has federal backing to permit the governors to misbehave, after settling the godfather?

I think a nation of your own, with your own army, supreme court and internal security will benefit you more.

What if the children stays far away🤔
If the children lives far away the community cannot bury their member? That's not Igbo tradition. Our tradition is the burial of people as soon as they are confirmed dead. This carrying to mortuary a recent change. Many are now kicking against it.

tinubu na Enugu state government, some people are just unreasonably stupid.people who are rational in thinking stilll find the country difficult, lamentations shouldn’t be for people who have dead brains cos even if they relocate abroad they won’t still have good reasons to live.na your father hold am.
You are just hating unreasonably. The directive is in order. People should rush and Bury people as soon be possible.

In that state, you will see people who died more than 30 kilometers away in the village, the family will lift the dead people and take them to mortuary in the city, then wait till about 6 months in some cases to build new house, prepare and do a big burial for their parent. What for?

The governor doesn't see the sense in that, and is trying to punish them indirectly to stop it.

That's good governance.

Is that the additional message because I was expecting an epistle detailing more details about this thread.

Ready to learn.

Can we start all over again?
The next epistle is about who, or the calibre of people who can lead yorubaland to make it a great nation. I am sure they will never go for a drug addict, or the criminals among them.

The tribe is so much blessed with intelligent men and women that can lead it to prominence. Bad leaders are thrown up by the Nigerian syndrome.

You know our people na, we too like to show off even when it's not needed. Bring up the matter of doing a simple burial in any family and they will verbally attack you, insisting on doing something befitting for the person, no matter how they died.

When I saw the pictures of Sunday Igboho and his people submitting a petition for yoruba nation to Number 10 Downing Street London today, I was filled with a sense of sadness. We misunderstand ourselves here daily and abuse each other, but I think things should be better.

I was sad because these people are not supposed to be in the situation they are now. They are supposed to take full control of their land, their resources and their waterways and use same to develop their people and environment. They are really a brilliant tribe, no matter how we look at it, but their potentials have been stunted by the weight of an unworkable union in Nigeria.

Nigeria is more of a curse than a blessing for the Yoruba, and many other tribes in Nigeria, including Biafra and the Ijaw nations. I see yoruba nation as a viable country when formed, a country that will have some oil, some arable land, and a lot of quality human capital to take it ahead many other African countries.

The only yoruba people gaining in the union called Nigeria are a very tiny few, the corrupt never-do-wells among them, while the intelligent and brilliant minds from there are pushed aside and even chased abroad to go and compete with people from other countries.

All yoruba people should rise and demand for the exit of their people from Nigeria, their future as a separate country looks very promising.

How about two days before or after. To bury her on her supposed day of joy is somehow to me.
I agree, but people that have taken excuses to travel on the wedding day may not make it earlier, and I think taking it later may prolong the agony on her husband and relatives. The DJ, MC etc that were already committed with money may have other engagements planned for other days. Its awkward, but they should do it and get on with their lives.
